I'm pretty sure someone already told you this but to get the actual dmg for aphileon you need to shoot the black hole and. There is a spam build for it and it's really good

I do appear to have angered the Aphelion community a bit. I did look up a build that was all in on explosion damage with the Archon class. This was like week 2 of the game. Maybe there's an updated build I'll have to try.

Update for any one watching: The Arbalist has been fixed in the recent update, the shots will no longer bounce off an enemy with out damaging them. Making it a VERY strong weapon, especially when you up your AOE range and drop the hammer (or swords in this case) and clear a whole room in an instant. And now that your shots always land, its WAY more fun to use.

also u can shoot unseen mobs , i shoot walls and floors in next zone , so i kill hidings mobs before i can recognize them . btw its broken with Archon and mod generation + , i can spam the mod, with every 1 shot i get full charged mod .

If you put a Lvl 10 Ammo return mutator on it you can keep shooting without reloading! every single bounce has a 30% chance of activating the ammo return mutator! also every single bounce will charge the mod! It's the best gun for clearing Losomn mobs!

Coach gun with the Extender mutator is really nice, 3 shots compared to 2 is a pretty big difference.

The Huntmaster M1 slaps with the right crit build and you don’t really have to even try with the hunter class. Carried me through my first play through once I found the right pistol combo. Mostly agree with your list keep up the good work

I haven’t played Apocalypse so maybe that’s why it’s different but the Aphelion on Nightmare is a mob clearing machine. Throw the Bandit mutator on there and you can shoot for a long time because each time one of your projectiles hits an enemy there is a 30% chance to refund that round to the magazine, and it hits multiple enemies at once AND pierces them to potentially hit more enemies behind them. I maxed it and I haven’t found a better trash clear long gun. But again, maybe it’s damage is just awful on apocalypse, but it’s pretty reasonable on Nightmare. Not a good boss DPS weapon though I do admit that.

I got nightfall at pretty much the start of my game as Losomn was my first biome and after beating the game I haven’t found a replacement. I tried Deceit and it felt too gimmicky for my taste. I think S tier is fair. It’s one of the only long guns I’ve seen that doesn’t seem to require a specific build to be effective and the mod is just ridiculous.

I ended up Losom as my first world, got the Deceit from the boss (it was obvious that guy was totally lying) and have yet to find anything better. That gun is just fantastic.

I really like the Huntmaster, particularly for a starting weapon. Granted, I'm not a huge souls-like player and this is my first game of the type to really get into so I'm only playing on easy. I like higher per-bullet damage rifles and this has a good mix of being able to one-shot most trash and a decent fire rate to stay in the game. The Widowmaker did more damage, but not enough vs even medium enemies with its constant reload (definitely agree with your rating on that one). All that said, once I got the Nightfall, I can't drop it for anything else I've tried. Feels like Destiny's scout rifles and I was a menace with those (only thing I was probably good at in multiplayer shooters, haha!).

It's weird to see how they brought a bunch of weapons back from _From the Ashes_ and sometimes they changed their names (Ford's Scattergun is simply the old Shotgun) and also how they tweak some, not always for the better. For example, the Twisted Arbalest is the new version of the Ricochet Rifle, but it's the _old_ Ricochet Rifle, from before it was buffed to make it not suck- the Ricochet Rifle was, like the Arbalest, completely random in where its shots would bounce, but enough people complained that they changed it so that the shots would always ricochet towards the closest enemy instead, possibly just bouncing between 2 enemies until they died. Dunno why they would have reverted that, although it looks like it's not _quite_ as random as it used to be.

To bad he did it wrong, some guns are made for mod dmg+mod spam... making them S tier in mod builds and low tier in range dmg builds, and vice versa for ranged damage weapons... there really isnt any "bad" gun in remnant 2, you just have to build around it if u wanna use it and pretty much any gun is viable

If u pair ingenuity (not sure what the minimum lvl for it is) with microcomperssor for the bonesaw you can empty the whole mag before overheating

You can use the Huntress Spear which has a ranged charge attack that still counts as melee to proc the effects of Deceits mod. And i dont know why but using the mod and then using the spears charged ranged attack turns it pierce the target and hit multiple targets.

@@UnknownDarkness47 I just did another test using the mod and then tossing the spear causes a piercing shock-wave that also applies the weak-point effect on all targets hit by it. Meaning you can do a full ranged only play-stile using Deceit and Huntress spear.

just a tip... 2:48, you can blow their legs off and make em crawl to you. The exploding ones will detonate after a few seconds of doing so.

Calamity needs a bit of a rework. The mod needs to track enemies or have a higher base radius. It’s just stationary and too small of an attack to matter that much

Blackmaw should really be A-tier. I'm still running that gun over other weapons because of just how easy it is to use and how powerful it is. Especially since you can slap whatever weapon mod you want on it

the bonesaw has the problem of having a stupidly long reload time. I ran my friend through the whole game. I was dying of laughter on the final boss cause my friend wasn't allowed to complete his reload.

The savior in D tier is just disrespectful. Use the bow mutator and the archers crest and its a beauty. Great for mob clearing and is competitive on bosses as well.

You should not need a whole build around it to be effective, what is really shitty about it is the reload speed. And amongst the bows, does not even have the best damage... doing a whole hardcore veteran mode to get that is what is really disrespectful lol I switched to saggitarius because I felt in apocalypse it just was not good, and I do not have archers crest

For the low mag wepons I like to throw a mutator u get from the pan at the ward that increases dmg by 10% in base after reloading and increases reload speed at lvl 10 hunters shroud as an ability you have constant ambush damage high crit rate and headshots keep uptime on anmbush I used the widow maker for my build secondary class was alchemist beast master or gunslinger

Am I the only one who see the particle accelerator rifle was rebranded as a Nerud weapon, if we do get rhom back we better see and amulet or a mod that gives us the op black hole back or maybe a mod that transforms the weapon into a heavy weapon that would be cool a mod powered heavy laser shotgun.

Are you sure Archers Crest works on the Crossbow? You sure it doesn't just speed up the "draw speed" on bows (and savior) for weapons that need to hold the trigger before releasing?

I got to say I think I'm addicted to remnant 2 I bought it a week ago and I already put 79 hours in the game then I beat it twice and I'm trying to get all the other weapons I got a fair amount though anarchy types the Challenger and ritualist build is really good for me for some reason I like the die hard when you die and you come back to life with full health it's basically like a free death.

@@UnknownDarkness47 that’s basically what stone of malevolence allows you to do. A fire build works so well with Aphelion plus a sidearm that has firestorm. You can handle bosses with just the mods alone.

The Aphelion can be an A- or even an S-tier if you use it only for clearing trashmobs, especially when they are lined up behind each other. Considering one shot can easily deal 3x the damage, if you hit multiple targets, it makes it a great trash clearer, if youre kiting trash first. Use your secondary for Boss-Clearing or just switch weapons before a bossfight. On the other hand, the Crescent Moon Bow will deal the damage to oneshot trash, but will take comparatively longer to achieve the same results. Im not even being salty rn or anything, i dont use the Aphelion, I'm just saying that a lot of times, how good a gun is can be situational.

Id say the savior is worth it. I melted the final boss with it and it tooo me around 3 minutes to do so. And i wasnt even really using a build around it either. Llus tou can cheese haedcore mode by right before every biss you save your data and if you die you download it and try again. I beat hardcore veteran and was only power level 6

Blackmaw > bonesaw > typewriter I spent hours testing dps. Black maw gets best overall dps right behind the crescent moon. Thing is with bows, you have to hit EVERY shot to get that dps. The blackmaw isnt far behind, and the fact that you have to dodge bosses between bursts is the reason why bonesaw is my go to. Constant boss dps.

I just couldn’t get into using the Bonesaw, the overheat, long reload time and the fact that it really only has 2 magazines (granted it has 300 bullets, but still) felt like too many drawbacks for me. I personally think the Blackmaw is just an overall better pick. But i suppose everyone’s tier list is different as the Huntsman carried me through the entire game on my first playthrough and to me is an easy B tier

I didn't like the Bonesaw either when I first picked it up. The raw damage is eventually what sold me on it. But I think you cant go wrong with the Blackmaw or Typewriter honestly

Bonesaw is really good when u matched it with gunslinger and hunter and for the drawbacks i maxed out the weapon handling trait to lvl 10 so it reduces the recoil, and put the hotshot or corrosive rounds it resets the overheat, and put on the constant variable ring it reduces the overheat duration and you do more damage the ring was really just made for weapons that has overheat

its the default long gun for medic, so when i got it the initial damage seemed low, yes it has a lot of bullets, and eventually you can overwhelm targets, but when you have 2 fey flying archers raining fire arrows down on you, i need upfront damage. with longer play and more upgrades its probably good, but i went for the coach gun, ground based regular enemies im going to melee anyhow, i just need something to make a flying enemy go away fast, and the upfront of the coach gun, at the start, was nice.

I love Merciless with Archon as main. Sidearm that can do damage over time like the Enigma, Starshot etc. is insane. Literally spam the alt fire of Merciless endlessly and put down bosses like it's bed time.

I have very occasionally been able to spam a bosses weak spot for ~10k damage 7 or 8 times in a row. It's pretty nutty when the stars align for you. xD

Love the sporebloom. The slow on the mod grenade is great and since it's single shot you can get some nice utility from it on rings. I'm using a ring that gives a bit of shield on every reload and a ring that gives 5% reload speed after each reload. And a ring that gives a bit of mod power each reload. The grenades come available real fast. Put a level 10 bleed mutatie in with the ravagers amulet for big numbers. I'm not at apocalypse yet, but running nightmare and this gun surely helped me beat some of the tougher bosses, like the red prince for example. You do need to lower the spread of the gun though, which might cost you a ringslot.

Meciless comes with built in bleed. Put the extender on that thing for 70 rds and faster reload. If you are doing a dps build with gunslinger and hunter you won't believe how this gun shreads. It's good with any build tho just make sure you have the extender. Put some traits into tightening the spreed. You can just shoot a bleed gun for what feel like forever. C teir my guy? Absolutely S..

Aphelion in F tier is kinda harsh, even with nerf the basic shot still on par with bulldog. I am not happy the mod dmg is -50% now in my explosion build but the devs seems scared of making AoE mods good? idk

Ya the community consensus seems to be it might be closer to C tier. My friends and all tried it for an adventure or two with different builds and didn't care for it.

Royal hunter bow is better than crescent moon with DPS. I'd take another look at that one. High skill threshold but you can shred apocalypse with it and also lock down enemies with firestorm. Combine it with shroud in a HUGS build and you walk apocalypse

Twisted Arbalest is S tier with mod generation. You can shoot around corners and just rain down swords; even with minor mod generation, the weapons attack with hit the same target over and over.

Yea, this is not how a tierlist works.. u cant rate every weapon for the shots it do cuz some weapons are made for modspamming in mod builds... starkiller for example... arbalest... alpha/omega... but whatever... not everyone can be good at understanding the basics of ranged damage / mod dmg+modspam with the right build u can do over 10k dmg with every shot from sporebloom for example

Hate seeing you not rank one of my favorites higher (Wrangler) but as a weapon for when you need to put out decent damage at range while other things like mods or summons doing stuff it's decent. It's precise and you shouldn't hurt your friends or summons unless you want to

I got through 2 playthroughs only using the Wrangler 😂 things so fun just clicking heads, even coming from Remnant 1 starting with the Lever Action with the hunter power, just works so well for Remnants gameplay.

If we're talking about the 3rd bow specifically I think it matters. You can't really use the ammo mods like hot shot or corrosive rounds, the slow fire rate doesn't make up for it. Crescent moon has an amazing bow mod, saggitarus is weaker but can be effective in a tight hallway. But with the last bow, what mod could you use to make it better than those 2, that a handgun couldn't pick up?

Well I played the first one for a ton of hours as well. It got me used to the exploration so I had an idea where to look for stuff lol. Oh ya this a great for a borderlands/souls player!

I have 280 hours and even I still don't have every ring and amulet and didn't play with every single weapon/mod/mutator but from seeing how they worked for others and testing major build requirement rings I am laughing my a$$ off at how innacurate most of those tierlists are. You have to put them in 5 categories: 1. Ad clear 2. Ranged damage against bosses with easy to hit weakspots 3. Ranged to hard to hit/no weakspot bosses 4. Mod damage to bosses 5. Ranged mod scaling when used together. After testing those 5 factors we have clear winners mostly at boss weapon category because the main problem with many of the weapons is reload speed which you have to build around with. Also everyone is doing clickbait "insane blackmaw damage" then they forget that it burns through ammo in no time. Nightfall is pretty much the same OP gun right now because of Faerin ring and Stone of Malevolence if you use twisted wounds/abrasive whetstone because it regains mod power while using the mod (exploit).

Aphelion you literally didn't make a build that mix explosion LOL You could legit aoe the whole map in front of you while shooting the ball and after shoot on it with the right ring ammy is a beast that weapom

I've tried 2 Aphelion builds. As I stated in the intro the background footage is just a random adventure I made for this video. Even with Detonation Trigger / The Aoe perk I wasn't Impressed. But that's ok! If you like the gun continue using it, this is just my opinion

Corrupted guns came out like 2 months after this video. Although the general consensus seems to be that the corrupted long guns are worse than their originals. Ive seen some builds with them here and there but nothing concrete

I just completed my first Apoc run and honestly, im dissapointed. I went through all of that work to get the Starkiller thinking it would be the best gun ever, and its just very blah. Even the mod (which i thought would be the highlight) is just very bland. They really let me down with the guns in this game. Too much work for mediocre weapons.

Yeah, when you put Twisted Arbalest in F-tier, that's when I know you've got no idea what you're talking about! every single one of the ricochet hits can activate the mutator and charge your mod. Think about that! even with a 10% ammo return mutator you'll have infinite ammo!!! with a 30% ammo return mutator, I barely even reload the gun I just keep shooting as long as there's a mob cuz it just directly returns the ammo to the mag, no need to reload! and that's just 1 mutator!

Spoorbloom needs to be in S-tier disagree and your not doing it right, so the arbalest is not F tier ,go back to the range and run it with whatever you just make sure you have bore/bullet storm/lvl 10 bandit
