Such a useful tool. It made you actually use your weapon skills in the level and not just save your FP bar for the boss. I couldn't imagine being a caster in DS3 compared to DS2 and ER where you have multiple ways to regain your FP or your spells. Not only were the spells the worst in the series, you were the most limited in the healing vs casting regain. No life gems, spices, scarabs or group wipes giving you back flasks. Few ways to regain FP to use a few decent spells. Anyone who thinks magic is OP, go try and play DS 3 as a caster. From owed it to mages to make spells fun and useful again in ER after that 💩 show.

With higher mind you can keep a couple of cerulean flasks, and this will be enough to carry you between most of the bonfires. Same for open world really, just be a bit strategic with flasks usage and you never run out of mana. This talisman could see some use on melee builds that want to use skills from time to time, but have no mind at all, and, IMO, by the time you get to the DLC, you have enough stats to get some mind to use skills more often. The regen is enough to make cerulean flasks redundant for exploration, but still low enough that you cannot use it efficiently in bossfights (except for buffing). it's a very nice QoL talisman, but not as bonkers as it sounds.

The Fine Crucible Talisman and Retaliatory Crossed-Tree Talisman are great when combined, especially with certain weapon classes. Specifically Light Greatswords and a Shield in the off-hand. Since you can maintain your block while backstepping, reducing most of the risk from the Fine Feather Talisman should you miss the timing. Most importantly though is that the backstep attack from Light Greatswords is a thrust and the animation for it is so insanely fast that it just straight up starts before the backstep animation finishes. Backstep can also be activated extremely quickly after jumping. Sure its niche, but it is a functional playstyle so it comes down to preference.

For the Dried Bouquet at #19, the option I immediately thought of when I picked that Talisman up was the Soldjars of Fortune. They're fragile and will immediately try to kamikaze the nearest enemy, guaranteeing that you get that buff pretty consistently. So, if you're someone who doesn't like to rely on summons as a crutch for combat, this opens you up to a summon that's effectively just a glorified spell. Summon them, let them run in and blow up, get the buff, spend the next 30 seconds going ham, ???, profit.

Another potentially better option for this would be the Haligtree Soldier ashes, since can they inflict poison on enemies or bosses with the pots they throw and they also actually do a kamikaze holy bomb attack when they hit around 50% health. So not only will they actually kill themselves earlier, but also can inflict DoT, be kind of annoying and evasive for a little bit because of their foot soldier moveset and there's four of them instead of the Soldjar's three

I think it's crazy how many people don't think the Blessed Blue talisman is good when people didn't say the Carian Filigreed was a bad talisman, and in most circumstances it outshines it as long as you know how to do attacks that aren't your AoW. Not to mention it can effectively give you more healing by letting you have to take literally no blue flasks

Good to see the Talisman I technically wore the most in this DLC (had just enough faith to use a single healing spell, could wait, and wanted to save my flasks out of combat) get top slot.

Coming back after Patch to tell Rusty to put Rellana's Cameo on first spot because it's absolutely totally stupidly busted now! 45%. And it activates *much* faster. It's like. Very, Very busted
@SomeCookie-gs1oy3 ай бұрын
that's 60% to any stanced weapon art if you use it with Alexanders. if there's any Charged+Stanced Weapon arts (SoNF?) you can also put on Godfrey Icon, for a full 75%. And then Branch Feather or Ritual Sword or like. Anything you want? and you could climb above 85% extra damage fairly easily.

Blue dew talisman is also really great to pair with Consumables/Tools that have a fp cost. by the time you win one fight and get to the next one, your fp is already restored!

I saw that thumbnail and I was like the clickbait got me good. As my last character just used the fp bar to buff that blue dew talisman was a god send after finding it. Having to only invest in maybe one or two flasks of blue at most was great Edit: I wrote this comment one second into the video... I agree with everything Rusty is saying and I pray to all the gods that they keep it because it is so good.

Blew Dew amazing for low FP high damage casters, combine with FP on kill and you pretty much never need more than one blue flask for when you get to the boss of a dungeon. It makes all fights safe with good positioning. Love it.

Yup. If you have a lot of mind you don’t need it but if you don’t this prefect.

Tbh even better than fp on kill is cerulean dagger cause it lets you get 15 fp from basically any enemy in the game and also works on bosses.

Actually for a high level spellcaster the cerulean Seed Talisman can be pretty good for exploring dungeons. That way you can save more flasks for the boss. And you also switch it out before any fight that is more difficult for something that lets you do more damage or gives you damage negation.
@HellecticMojo4 ай бұрын
I disagree. If exploring as a caster, you really don't want to dip so low on mana that the cerulean becomes useful at any point. It's just too risky.

blue blessed dew is so stupidly strong. What's that? You have a weapon art build? Well, just wait until you get the opportunity to attack again on half the DLC bosses, and it'll be like your FP bar is endless! Hm? You have a strong spell but dont want to lessen your health flasks? Just WAIT for a half a minute and you'll have full FP AGAIN
@ddevil7684 ай бұрын
I can constantly have a spell active too while exploring or going through dungeons, wether it’s a damage buff or a heal over time spell I’m constantly doing more damage and keeping my health full without wasting flasks. It’s such a good talisman.
@frankfernandez7683 ай бұрын
No hate but blue dew is awesome for all casting No need to go back to grace and keep on killing with spells and skills The regen is a little slow but for those willing to wait i can make a pure casting build viable
@theonlymann14854 ай бұрын
29:08 only reason i'd rate this lower is that the new consumable tha gives 5fp per second at the cost of sleep buildup and gives like idk 150fp p sure? only strength build can just plug that flower right in the sippy and put a 2hand sword+2head turtle talisman in that slot, or any other snowballing talismans that you like to doomstack. even on magic/faith builds it has been my opening move to just pop this after using the buff incants. granted the material is still quite annoying to farm and because of that i think the talisman gets underapprieciated, which means it wont get nerfed(hopefully)
@jonathanprivitera93944 ай бұрын
Blue dew is _perfect_ for co-op, you basically put lord's heal or heal from afar and blessing's boon on the list of spells, and use them for _free_ while helping with bosses and maybe playing more carefully/defensively.

I know I'm late, like really late, but why the hell isn't their a frostbite exultation? I got why in the base game their wasn't one, because it makes poison and blood loss more impactful because they had exultation, but now that Madness and Sleep have exultations, it's bizarre that frostbite is the only one without an exultation. (Deathblight doesn't count, nor should it)
@TheYouthEnergy3 ай бұрын
It wouldn't even be that useful since you can't proc frostbite on urself
@TheInzombiac2 ай бұрын
Ok, I get that, but 1. Sleep didn't until the DLC 2. I'm pretty sure it would be more helpful to prock the effects on the enemy, because then the buff would stack with the debuff frostbite gives 3. Still doesn't change how bizarre that frostbite is the only status effect without this
@cryw10922 ай бұрын
Probably because you already get a damage boost from Frostbite by default in the form of the debuff it gives to enemy defenses, not to mention the fact that it can be reset and reapplied very frequently with quite a few tools and combinations.

The Blue Dew being top 5 makes sense but number 1 is definitely crazy. With how aggressive bosses are, especially in the dlc, I’d rather spend that slot with something that’d either give me an immediate attack or defense buff to last longer.

100% agree with blue dew, I'm doing my second playthrough of the DLC as a summon with my friend and let me tell you, having essentially infinite healing as a summon as we explore feel so good, considering how limiting having half your flasks feels.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw the Blessed Blue Dew talisman and immediately fell in love. It just makes everything so convenient. Any cheap weapon skill suddenly becomes completely free. I did a Dryleaf Whirlwind run on my first DLC playthrough, abd just ended up never raking it off, since it facilitated my entire strategy on it's own. Banger talisman.

I was admittedly annoyed when I found the Golden Braid. I think my reaction was to just laugh because I immediately thought of how useful it would have been to have had that for Radagon and Elden Beast. I sure as hell slapped it on when facing Radahn and Miquella though. I immediately put the two-headed turtle talisman on when I got it and I never removed it. For me stamina is the most important stat. There's a whole lot of shit you can't do if you don't have the stamina. I think I went on an explore specifically for this talisman when I learned it existed. I also adore the Crimson Seed +1 talisman. I'm the one who put the estus ring on in DS3 and never took it off, so of course I'm going to use a talisman that lets me heal more off a flask use. Especially since my main build is a pure quality melee one. I do have a faith-based character I'm going through the game with on a second save file, but she's still in Liurnia. I'll get proper use of healing incantations and such with her. ...I did not realize how powerful the Blessed Blue Dew talisman is. Again, melee build here. Yes, I have 2 cerulean flask uses, because I make major use of the Bloodhound's Fang AoW, and the black flame tornado on the Godskin Peeler, but I don't use fp except for those weapons. I guess I could have slapped that talisman on to help me out a little more. Oh well. Something for my faith-based character to get when I get her to the DLC.

i clicked to see your complaints on blue dew, glad it was the best, it has not been unequipped since i got it because it also acts as blessed dew by just using bestial vitality. i cant remove it just like 90% of pvp players cant unequip bullgoat. not only do i get free healing the fp regen fixes all my problems as being a support build for coop and lets me take off sacrificial axe, the fp horn talisman and blasphemous blade. i can finally use new things like the cool frisbee that is often oppressive in pvp and new weapons that are fun to use. not to mention it enables low level casters to not have all flasks be fp so they dont have to rest constantly. i will now watch the whole vid out of respect for the recognition blue dew got.

Blessed Blue Dew Talisman carried me through anything but bosses. I use a STR build with a bit of faith, I could use Beastial Vitality and Flame Cleanse Me without any repercussions and use as many Ashes of War as I want without the need for Flashs. So, I found the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman within my first 90 minutes in the DLC on a build using Blasphemous Blade. It genuinely hardcarried my first blind playthrough to an obsurd degree. If you're carefully exploring every nook and cranny not knowing where the next grace is, having more of a resource as universal as FP is a lifesaver. And, since you're taking your sweet ass time exploring, it actually has time to refill your FP consistently.
@AmethystosVonSchweden-Preußen4 ай бұрын
This video might've just been the final tug to bring me into using the blasphemous blade after having never touched it since acquiring it. I never felt powerful with it enough. but that talisman might just be the golden nugget to having me try it.

Don't forget with Blue Dew, you can cast the most FP efficient incant in the game. Discus of light, at a whopping 3 FP used. Pair that with the Dryleaf seal and a sword of light. And you've got a discus nightmare build. Have fun!
@Bones_4 ай бұрын
Discus gets buffed by BOTH dryleaf and golden seals so one in each hand, plus you can use goldmask’s mask for another buff, and then add on some incant and holy damage talismans and you can now spam one of the longest range incants for 3 fp basically forever. It’s especially good for co-op where you’re more flask limited. Blessed Dew also works wonders with projectile ash of war focused builds like the envoy horns because when you start to run low on fp, for ash of wars you only need half the cost to activate it so something like golden land is now infinite use and can reach all the way across even the biggest boss arenas.

Retaliatory cross tree is substantially better on greatsword, since the rolling attack is a pierce attack that most enemies are already weak to, it combined with two handed talisman can easily make your roll attack outdamage your basic by nearly 200 damage on most enemies
