Sceptile has a poor movepool for being a special attacker..it should get it's offensive stats switched..moreover, it should also get a useful ability cus I'm pretty sure that no one is going to use an electric type move on a Pokemon that resists it 4 times. It's my favourite Pokemon in anime, but I unfortunately can't use it much in games since it's movepool and stats..

Kangaskhan might be an uninteresting design to some but it was probably single handedly the most overpowered mega evolution (other than the legendaries)

I completely understand why you, me and most of the pokemon fans hate mega gyarados but I understand why they decided to make mega G look like that.. The design of gyarados was originally inspired from a shrimp 🦐 and the normal gyarados looks more like a dragon 🐉 that's why everyone one of us wish it had dragon type but they wanted to redeem that quality of design of a shrimp 🦐 and made mega gyarados look like that and I honestly don't understand why they gave it a dark type though 💀💀

For one there are so many Megas I forgot about, but a funny thing about this list is how wildly different it is from my opinions. I think the simpler designs like Mega Venusaur and Charizard Y are so much better than the overly complicated ones like Lucario. Like its called Mega Evolution, so I get people expecting a 4th stage looking form, but its not a full evolution and its temporary, so having these crazy drastic changes feels off in practice. And as much as I agree about the design of Mega Sceptile, he gets totally screwed over stats and movewise. He has an almost entirely physical moveset, but then his Mega only boosts his Special Attack. I tried using it in a playthrough of Alpha Sapphire and its was just a pathetic struggle to get anything out of it. However in other media its amazing, like in Pokken Tournament where they aren't constrained by actual base stats.

Hard disagree. Sure, it's fine if it's all personal opinion. As a person studying character design in games, most of the evolutions near the bottom are just fine. Personally, what makes a Mega design a "good one" is either how they twist and exaggerate the theme of the Pokemon's design, or how they make it cooler while retaining simplicity (ex. Mega Charizard and Mega Swampert). The twist on Mega Camerupt's having greater emphasis on the volcano theme while keeping it simple is what makes it a well-designed Mega. Mega Blastoise and Mega Sceptile also follow this idea.

I super disagree with the design comment early on. I think mega evolution should specifically look like the previous version as much as possible, with things added on to make it feel new but still the same. Otherwise why call it a mega and not just add additional evolutionary chain? That's why Kangaskan and say Ampharos or Blastoise are some of the best mega designs out there.

If you want a real legit reason to hate Mega Garchomp, just look at the shiny. The purple is a huge improvement when you compare it to normal Mega Garchomp, normal Garchomp, and even shiny Garchomp, but that near neon bright magenta completely destroys it. If they went with a shade of turquoise instead of that bright magenta so it contrasts with the orange, it would’ve looked so much better. That’s just my opinion though.
