I think many would say the 80s are the number one horror decade. What's #2 though? Takes me a minute to decide, but I probably go 70s. Halloween, The Shining, TCM, The Exorcist, Black Christmas... Ok Now that I think about it it's definitely #2!!

I’m gonna be complete honest with you, brother. It’s pretty rare that I find a tier list that I agree with this deeply. Some very minor differences with the only major difference being Halloween Kills is a massive pile of trash.

I don't see the following films on the list but they're definitely S Tier imo -- Dawn Of The Dead *(1978)* -- Night Of The Demons *(1988)*

These are the films I've made reviews of, so a ton of classics haven't been covered yet! I 100% agree on Dawn of the Dead, it is so great. I need to rewatch Night of the Demons but I remember really enjoying it!

I do enjoy found footage movies, but even the best ones can never escape the C to B tier. Too many have a very similar formula that the genre can not seem to escape.

dang that's a good list bro, i agree with the Halloween 5 hate it completely stopped the franchise from moving forward unlike most horror franchises and start being original but ever since then they've just been rehashing the same stuff. i do kinda wish you made a "so bad its good" list for Halloween Resurrection

Super fun watch, i appreciate all the time you put in. I disagree with a lot of these rankings but that is just the nature of horror. i feel like it is by far the most subjective genre. I tried watching Black Christmas recently and i just did not get it. Yes, the voice on the phone is interesting and weird but otherwise nothing happens. A woman dies and then like 45 minutes later the old lady finds her. Sooooooo slow. I do appreciate the first person camera work though, i can understand why it was considered a genre defining film.

I know I was surprised, that was like the second franchise that I got into horror with. He didn't even put The Shining I don't think, which was the first movie in horror that made me like the genre and get invested into it. Aka, like 10 days ago lol. I'm only 15 so.

Bride of Chucky would be an A Tier for me. I love Cult of Chucky, it's my 4th favorite; Child's Play 2, Child's Play 2, Bride, & Cult. The remake is in an F tier for me,

Don't call horror "slow" like that's a bad thing = horror is not action. It's **SUPPOSED** to be slow. See? We have action for fast paced movies. And horror is supposed to be slower. I'm sick of people being obtuse and not understanding this.

Not sure which film you're saying I called slow, but I fully agree that there are plenty of horror films that are supposed to be slow and excel at it. The Wailing and The Witch are "slow", but they use their time to build up so much atmosphere and dread! But there are plenty of films that are slow in the sense that they are padding time and simply plodding along without purpose.
