Soul resurreccion can’t be an E if it’s noticeably better than the other games, outside of graphics you get the most of bleach’s entire story and you can’t really say there’s no variety in the moves when everyone in the show has 1-3 attacks they use until the final arc

Rules are a bummer because Bleach Heat the Soul is a great and fun series even if you don't understand japanese.. Best Bleach fighting game to date imo. I think there was even an English patch fan project for various of the titles if you really wanted to understand & review it properly! I dunno how far they've come with the projects though, i haven't used my time for that kind of stuff in a long time 😅

As a young teen I loved 3rd Phantom. The long battle animations weren't a problem to me back then, loved the downtime in the interactions between characters before missions and thought the story was cool as bleach au. Dunno if I would enjoy it today, but I had a Lot of fun with back then.

I pretty much agree with the rankings, but I will say that Bleach Resurreccion gave me hours of gameplay. When you unlock a lot of the skill tree, your character feels noticeably stronger and cooler to play. Some of the skills even change how you play certain characters. I started out as Uryu and would constantly need to dodge to get a few shots off, but once I went deep into the skills I was able to just sit there and literally spam a bunch of arrows for quite some time. Not the most creative gameplay, but considering that it's literally what Uryu does in the series I felt just like him. I also really loved the scale when fighting Menos and a few of the bosses that had that colossal feeling were great too. I'm just upset that the game as a whole feels half done. They give you an entire mechanic for "awakening" yet you already start half of the characters in their awakened forms. For a game that kinda rushed through the Bleach story, I wish they started from the beginning of the series so there could be more content. Hell, they already had some really well done Soul Society maps.

I respect and understand your view on these games looking in from your perspective, but man I personally rank the DS games (especially Dark Souls) very highly simply because I grew up playing it with friends locally and online and that's really what it comes down too. The fun factor was definitely their with Bleach: Dark Souls. The PSP games are my favorite series of the bunch. The Heat the Soul series (especially Heat the Soul 7) was truly a gem of a fighter simply because it was made by the Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 devs, Eighting.

You can’t rank brave souls so low showcasing only old trash characters which are clunky and not even a quarter as fun as the later characters. There’s a bunch to it like predicting spawns to catch multiple waves with a strong attack, utilizing immunity frames with strong attacks, and the satisfaction from perfectly dodging an enemy special move

Aw no way, Soul Ressureccion had a surprising amount of depth in ways to use its simple tools. Maybe its just because I spent way too much time on it but you could keep a combo running through the entire stage, racking it into the thousands, and everyone had some unique way to do it. I doubt everyone wanted to play like that lol, but the game definitely gave you fun/interesting tools to do it with. I'd honestly kill for a sequel with more characters and depth though. No salt though, good video. It was nice to be reminded Resurreccion even existed lol.

As someone who just began watching Bleach recently, it would be really cool if we could get something for the new Thousand Year Blood War arc of the anime. Besides Brave Souls, we haven't had any other proper Bleach game since Soul Resurreccion and it bothers me. Series like Demon Slayer got a fighting game and Fairy Tail got an RPG, niche anime that rarely got games, even those got something and I feel we are overdue for Bleach. I would kill for a 2d or arena fighter or even a full on Bleach RPG that goes through all of Bleach, kind of like how Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm does it. Even a Bleach game like Dragon Ball FighterZ would be so fire, so whenever we get anything, I sure as hell will be there

I first heard about Dark Souls on the Mizuumi Wiki, a wiki for obscure and niche fighting games. Apparently that game still has a decently sized competitive scene to this day (The players simply focus on the combat, ignoring all of the extra stuff).

Globku, my dude, you don't need to understand Japanese to get through Heat the Soul's story. Literally the important bits of menus are already in English, and you just go straight through one fight after another. So you kinda kneecapped yourself already for how much you can explore. Source: a guy who's done Let's Plays for a dozen Bleach games, including all the Heat the Soul games.

Bleach the 3rd phantom and bleach 4th flame bringer are titled like that because they are the 3rd and 4th games that reuse the same sprite assets that were made for the blade of fate. I would've thought they would want to hide that they are reusing assets over and over but they were weirdly honest about it. I'm completely the opposite to you. I didn't like the story of the 3rd phantom at all. It was written by kubo but definitely not his best work. Didn't like any of the characters except matsuri. Wish she would come back in something. But i did enjoy the gameplay. The only issue is that its too slow. I hate fire emblem gameplay because its so one note and boring and RNG reliant, missing 80% accurate attacks always. And only having the option to attack is stale. I prefer it like in the 3rd phantom where each character has skills you can select. And i don't rememeber everything but the final boss at least definitely had most of the things you said enemies should have. Soul resureccion actually does have a lot of depth, tech and combos you can do. Theres a guy on youtube who made a video about some random tech the characters have. It's just that nothing in the game encourages you to actually play it properly. On the contrary it discourages you. It's better to turtle your way through the entire game since its so easy to die. Blade of fate actually had a small competitive scene where actual fighting game players would play it. Dark souls never did. I don't know why since i was never part of that scene but maybe it had worse balancing or mechanics or something. But if you ask them blade of fate is the better designed game. I wouldn't have included brave souls in this cause if you are including mobile gacha games there are 2 others which are in english that were out at the time of this video (and are still out). They're even worse than bbs. Bleach is a bit cursed when it comes to getting stuff. The new soul resonance game honestly looks pretty good not even for a mobile game but for an anime game in general since nothing except dragonball can actually get good games. The average quality is so bad. But then nuverse had to close down at the worst time and now thats up in limbo. Theres tons of leaked gameplay for that on youtube though if you haven't already seen it. Lastly i think there is a pretty good fan translation of one of the bleach psp games. The 3d tekken/soulcalibur style fighter "heat the soul". might've been able to bend the rules a bit for that.

Unfortunately Heat The Soul was never officially released in English as far as i recall, they were only in Japanese, so he doesn't review it because he doesn't understand. A bummer, great series. Loved Soul Carnival too back then, the chibi stuff was cool to me back then and the gameplay was quite cool too if i remember correctly 👌

So, I agree with a lot of this list, but I do have to say some of it feels a bit off. I know Soul Ressurection isn't a very good game at all, but each character plays differently and the character leveling system can be kind of nice. It is extremely repetitive, it's not super good, but I think for fans of Bleach it's probably closer to a high C or low B. I can understand it being low C or even high D as a game, though. As for Blade of Fate and Dark Souls, I think they each have pros and cons but I think they at least deserve C tier. They play pretty well, they have a lot of character variety and each character is unique (with the exception of like, inner Ichigo, but he's also just a fun bonus character). Yes, it's on the DS, but as a game it's good. If you play it on an emulator, you don't have the DS controls and can play it with your keyboard or even controller. The lack of PVP is an issue, which is why I wouldn't rank it higher than a C tier, but still, it's not a bad game deserving of just D.

idk abt u but i dont confuse arturo with grimjow at all. shunpo cancel is a thing in heat the soul as well , not as competitive as other fighting games but that series was the pinnacle of bleach games at the time. brave souls gave us official art for un announced bankais, ressurections and modes those are wat gave some people hope for the series.

3rd Phantom is honestly my favorite strategy game yeah its long, but the character interactions and story is great I'd argue 3rd Phantoms flaw is the fact it was running on outdated DS Hardware which makes it not age well would've been better on the 3DS or the Switch. In fact whoever controls the license to Bleach video games need to revive the strategy rpg genre of the series on the Nintendo Switch

If you want to pick a game from our limited selection of west releases, and still pondering about 3rd phantom, here's some clashing opinions: starting from the ranking, globku put it as the last place and "ready to put it as F" for only 2 (or 3?) reasons: 1- animations took too long 2- enemies are the same 3?- free time that doesn't matter complaint 1: I don't remember if there was a cancel animation option, but if not, simulators for the ds are so easy to get and they all offer a speed up button, if you're wondering about legality, if you have a copy of the game, you can still use an emulator to play it. sure the game itself may not offer a solution to this problem on its own, but is that really a reason to make it "one of the worst strategy games ever played" specially when doesn't even have nothing to do with the "strategy" part, that's just plain exaggeration (gotta lie for controversial takes, that's what gives views, right?) complaint 2: well this one is just a plain lie, I dunno how far globku made it in the game, maybe 10 minutes and gave up, but enemies do play different, as you progress you encounter more enemies and old ones get new skills, those frog looking things in the video get a self destruction which deal a lot of damage to adjacent enemies at the cost of their lives for example, you can either kill them before they explode, have someone tank them and then heal the tank, or use someone with high dodge chance to avoid the explosion. these enemies are like the basic minions, so later on there is an enemy that spawns them, and you have to kill it fast, and talking about spawning 10:22 , there is literally a tanky enemy called void rift or something like that, which is a portal to hueco mundo, the only thing it does is just SPAWNING ENEMIES. more on enemies, there are some which use poison, and there are some which occupy multiple tiles, grand fisher uses 4, and menos grande uses 9 (see him playable in the fighting game? yea those game use the same sprites), not only menos grande takes full damage from each tile you use an AoE spell (different strategy for different enemies) but they also can shoot their own spell, cero which is literally 10:25 a beam that shoots on the front, which makes you not wanna stack all your units on the same side of him. complaint 3: free time I do remember you can skip, but still, "none of this matters", if he's talking about what goods you get from it, it does matter, you have a limited amount of free time and each action takes a different amount of time, you can go in a route that gives you the most items, one that deepens your bond with certain characters (which has an effect in battle) or a route that makes you recruit characters (which if the bond "doesnt matter" then this will). if he's talking about the contents of the conversation, do you really expect to have a main plot conversation in a skippable event, or in the main story itself?, free time is about getting to know the characters or have goofy moments, if you don't care for that, totally fine just skip it, calling it "doesnt matter" as a negative for the entire game, again... exaggeration. phew, complaints out of the way, let's add my review this time, shall we? the 1 thing I have to agree with the video is yes, the story is great, you follow an original story with some new original characters in the already existing world, and you can meet the already existing characters in both the past and the present. since you start from the beggining you really see your character grow, both in combat and how the events affect them, speaking of growing in combat, you can see how our characters gets better in complaint number 1, not only does his fighting style get less sloppy but don't expect us to have a "regular sword" during the entire game do we? this is bleach we're talking about, you can even choose from 3 different options which form you wanna take, and you can see how your character gets more used to their new form in, you guessed it, complaint number 1. The reason I remember the game well it's because of its replayability, not only each protagonist has their slight differences in story, but they also have their own 3 forms to choose from. more on "choosing", of course as you get more units, you have a limited number of how many to deploy, each unit has a skill tree with 3 routes, and you have a limited amount of skill points to use, so you'll never get all 3 routes done, every route also has its own specialty, some more focused on spells/kidou, debuffs, resistances, bankai power/duration, ect.. so in each playthrough you can use different teams, or even if you use the same unit, you can build it in a different way. so every "human" character plays different right? also you think we will fight against hollows all the time? yup there it is, complaint number 2. like, it's fine to make your content the way you like, you can force things to make it contorvesial, does it work? yes, it gets more views. does it make the people comment more? yes, I you can see from this example itself. does it affect your credibilty? it should, you are free to blindly follow globku the way Kanami Tosen did with Aizen, or you can question everything and look for other opinions, his subscribers who are still on this channel, will most likely fall in the first category though, this comment will be lost in the sea, maybe wont even be read because of tl;dr or maybe globku himself can delete it if he feels like it.

From what I remember you didn't need multiple copies of Blade of fate or Dark souls to play multiplayer, just use DS download play. Dark souls is also the only game on this ranking I hard disagree with on this ranking. Me and my brothers grew up as hardcore fighting game fans, and this game was amazing to us because we all could play at the same time since it was 4 players. The lane system was cool too cause you can either treat it like a free for all in the same lane, or have 2 1v1s and fight the winner on the other side. I agree about the card system, but for us it was never something we built, we pretty much ignored it or used the cards that the game started you with, regardless it doesn't hinder the game play without them. The character moves have a surprising amount of depth and charm. I understand in the current era of fighting games where everyone needs rollback hearing DS download play might sound disgusting, but when we played it was all in good fun. Also the art was stellar. I understand this ranking is mostly from a single player perspective, but I think the countless hours of multiplayer I played in this game more than made up for everything else.

Bleach dream game would be a bleach copy of one piece pirate warrior 4 maybe they are the same company that made soul resurrection but that's the past also look on pirate warrior 4 and imagine the same mechanics on bleach man it will be a wow desu

I really hope that after the anime explodes in popularity we get a good bleach game, it had been years without anything new.
