Ranking All Girls Planet 999 Performances! (Episodes 1 + 2)

I got too lazy to type out my explanations for the ranking but if you're curious feel free to ask :)
I finally caught up on all the Girls Planet 999 stage videos from episodes 1 and 2, so I thought it would be fun to rank them! This list is only based on my personal opinion, it is not meant to be an objective ranking. It's not meant to sent hate to any of the contestants - even the lowest ranked performances were NOT bad, I just thought there was more room for improvement or the song choices weren't fitting. I'm also biased towards contestants with strong vocals and great stage presence.

My fav performance was definitely the “wow thing” unit. All of them just did so well together and it’s the only performance I’ve gone out of my way to rewatch!

I feel certain mistakes that many contestants made was to choose popular songs for the sake out it but those songs ended up being quite out of their ranges, if they would have looked for more songs that suited their vocals, they would have done much better

the dumdi dumdi performance is so underrated, definitely in my top 10. Sakamoto Mashiro seems to be a very sweet person, and is one of my personal favorites so far. also yes we stan putting humph so high i laughed out loud, these girls were born to entertain. I also feel like the crazy performance is overrated, Yeso (was that her name? the leader girl who got into top 9) is the only one who danced it properly and it made her stick out like a sore thumb, also the main vocal girl was EXTREMELY disrespectful towards Ezaki Hikaru in my opinion (during the solo comment snippets (they are called hundreds i think) she said that Ezaki is not that good as the judges make her out to be, and if she was korean she would recieve much less praise)

Mashiro really does seem like such a sweetheart! The Hmph performance was peak comedy, I don't even care that it was a mess 😤 I think what the Crazy girls lacked in skill they made up for in energy, which is why it was so high on my list! But I tend to not notice bad dancing as much as bad singing or abysmal stage presence haha. I'm really hoping that the girl's comment (Kim Sein I think?) was out of context rather than a deliberate attempt at being rude. I can't say I'm rooting for the members of this group since I feel like most of them are too young to debut, but for what it's worth they exceeded my expectations :)

@@YeriPotter mnet's editor even highlighted Yeseo when dancing the chorus, and while they definitely did her good, it only made me notice how different she dances (her hand wasn't even in sync oh my god), and even if she danced it the best, i feel like she should match with others better. not to defend Fu Yaning, she could definitely learn some humbleness, but hearing the comment about how she should match her level of energy with others while Yeseo did so much better that it made her teammates look incompetent was a bit sketchy. I really like Yeseo tho, she seems like a real hard worker with lots of love and dedication for performing - also very empathetic! the way she helped her teammates because they were in pain was adorable.

@@kabina7994 Yeah even though I'm not a fan of Fu Yaning, I felt like she was the best performer in Helicopter and the others should've matched her energy. I'm happy Cai Bing made it into the top 9, and I personally would've chosen her over Yaning on account of her attitude, but I'm surprised the judges chose her over Fu Yaning since they didn't seem bothered by her comments. I was really surprised by Yeseo's cell picks but she seems like a great leader, and I hope she can inspire the other members to improve throughout the competition!

My Top favorite performances were Boombaya Crazy Bounce Back Kick It Wow Thing Bubble Pop Snapping Pop Stars GOGOBEBE Paradise lost Hump (though it’s not the best, it was so entertaining and the twins were so freaking cute)

I still enjoyed it, there were just other performances I liked more! I felt like they should've distributed the lines a bit more evenly, I thought Chaehyun got too many of the higher parts and ended up straining herself too much. I think their unit has potential as vocalists though!

Of course! I liked the performance, but there were others that I just enjoyed more. I felt like it would have been better if the lines were distributed a bit more evenly, Chaehyun got a lot of the high parts and I thought she strained herself a bit too much. All the members are super talented though, I was especially happy with Chaehyun's performance in today's episode!
