I had to comment again when you whipped out those old school bh cosmetics birthstone palettes! I have all 12! I used to look forward to that release at the beginning of every month. They were like $5, amazing quality, cute, simple packaging and it gave me an excuse to make an order from them every month. Bh cosmetics was my favorite brand and I am still sad and salty that Makeup Revolution got their claws into bh. RIP bh cosmetics, you will be missed.😢

I feel you about bh. They were available at our drugstore, which is not usual for such a small brand. I just started experiencing with make-up about four years ago, and their Zodiac palette (with the brush set) was my first. I got a lot more from them, as much as I could, before they went out of business. Pity they were swallowed by a bigger brand :(

I know you said you shouldn't do swatches because it'd make the video too long but it was appreciated. When someone is rating a palette with a good formula and performance based on preference, it is helpful for the viewer to see the swatches and be able to compare to own personal preference... so thank you! And in my opinion, the full Sigma New Mod Palette is breathtaking and worth the splurge! Hehe! 😊

Totally agree with you on the special shades fatigue. I work in corporate so i love a good rich, metallic, standard shimmer for every day! I also feel like having 80% of the shimmers being multi/duochromes makes them feel not as special bc they start to all look the same. Not something you want happening when spending $60-90 on a single palette in this economy. Thanks for the great video!

I completely understand not always wanting multichromes. Sometimes you just want a toned-down look. Ive watched so many of these ranking videos already. Many have the same palettes in the top. I love the midi nude by natasha. Its good for those more simple looks you talked about. The glitters still make it amped up a bit and I use them for toppers with other palettes often.

Whew that was a long one but it went by fast. The pace was great, kept my interest, and there were hardly any ads, which was awesome. I have never even heard of some of these brands/pallets, and even though the pace was fast I thought the swatches and descriptions gave me a clear picture of each pallet. I am definitely going to purchase a couple of the ones I found more interesting. Thank you and Happy New Year!

How did I miss this video🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope whoever won the palette is stoked. I did pick them up on the restock and still haven’t used it but I used the cool toned version it was so pretty. Like you I prefer warm tones so I know I’m gonna love it. As for unearthly they definitely have improved on the mattes and shimmers, sorceress smoke is everything shimmers are so sparkly and great mattes so blendable. I almost gave up on the brand but I’m glad I tried them again. Thank you for all your hard work🫶🏼

Fantastic video! Thank you for including swatches for each palette. I wonder if the Xenon palette is causing this effect because of the color range each person can see. My husband is colorblind, and where he can see 15 different shades of a color I can see 26 or more. I’m not saying people are colorblind, but I think people can see a different range of shades. I think ND should have made the tones a bit more obvious. I can see a blue in it I know, but I can’t see a pink any time I look at it.

I just discovered my love for indie brands this year! So this has been an exciting one for me. The top 3 I’ve tried are 1) Unearthly Cosmetics Sorcerous Smoke 2) Bellabeautebar Star-Crossed Lovers (so slept on in my opinion!) and 3) Gourmande Girls Nightshade ( I’m obsessed with using the shade Enchanter as a highlight with any purple look I may do. Or whenever I want to be seen from space 😂)

I got the full-size new mod palette by Sigma on Cyber Monday , and Oh WOW 👌 the formula got me & immediately thought of it as the sophisticated version of Naked 3 by UD in terms of the color story !!!! Now I'm thinking : what should I pick up next 😅 😬 I went back & forth of which size I'd get tbh , because of the softer side of the palette & to my surprise I loved the berry side too 😍 although there's some repeating of colors I liked it & I got it because of Sarah Rose's 1 week 1 palette video 😊❤ and she did it later than everyone else & showed more verity of looks with it with her approach to makeup ❤

I was surprised that you ranked The Fool Fantasy at the top! Your review video was the one I consulted. I ended up not purchasing because I thought it had too many straight-on golds but your swatches make it look so cohesive that I’m tempted all over again. I mostly decluttered this year, but 3 go-to palettes were Viseart Neutral Mattes (whole face palette), Huda Empowered, and BH Naughty. Enjoyed Colourpop It's My Pleasure quite a bit despite the shimmers having gotten a bit dull: the looks come out beautiful.

Glad Chucky x Glamlite ranked so high for you too. Its probably right behind Somane II by Odens Eye of all my palettes. Latter is fun colorful, former my deep but almost neutral palette for my medium skin. Im now peeping at Unearthly Cosmetics and Ensley Reign. But theyre pricy for my makeup journey. Not the tools but how you use right? So expensive tools arent how I should develop skills.
