Ah excellent picks! I’m wearing the Makeup by Mario Moonlight palette. Even the eyeshadow wing I did with one of its browns. And a little eyeliner smudged along the lash line (Lisa Eldridge Ground Coffee). Glad you liked the eye look! :)

This was a really fun way of ranking the lipsticks! Ribbon looks absolutely gorgeous on you; that’s my favourite, with Medici a close second. Lisa is the one shade I’m not keen on myself, but even then, it looks fine on you! 😊

I love these lipsticks. Ashes of Roses is my favorite. It makes my face come alive. It looks more brown on me than it does on you, but I love it. Your eyes are mesmerizing! I went directly to the info box to see what you were wearing. Then I saw someone else had asked, too. 💕

It's so interesting how lipsticks look different on everyone! And thank you so much for the compliment about my eyes, I've been playing with the Mario Moonlight palette. Especially the sparkly shades, I have like 3 of those on. The mattes are good quality although I find the one blue pan intimidating lol

All of the colors look so beautiful on you! I’m the same coloring as you and like you don’t like pink lipstick. But when I got my color season done I was told to try pink and have been shocked at how it has grown on me. How did you get your color season done? I want to look into that and see what other shades I should venture into. I’m so glad the pic cards were helpful! 👯🎉😃 Made a lot of sense to me to have all the lip swatches on the screen as I went about the ranking. I’m going to tweak the design to make 1st, 2nd & 3rd place look bolder and more victorious somehow bc right now all 7 number badges look identical.

I think Rome will be really pretty on you with a beige or taupe liner. Heather is typically a lilac toned shrub. Audrey works beautifully on your skintone, in fact I might prefer it to Ribbon on you. 💄

@@FabiMadeup Yes, try Romy with a favorite taupe liner. It transforms. Of the 3 shades I got, it's the one that I need to do "something" to to completely please me, but once I line it, I feel very elegant and office appropriate.

​@@nicolastanislaus1975 Yes, I've heard the red in the RE formula is slightly different in shade to the Velvet formula. Ribbon Velvet is on my wish list. Back in the day, I wore a lot of satin formula reds. Remember Paloma Picasso?! Now I'm very much into high pigment matte red lipstick. The exception being Armani's 400. Which I enjoy in both the Lip Maestro formula, as well as the newer Power one.

Lipstick colours are so hard to figure out until you try them on yourself! A slight nuance could make a world of a difference. I like all of these on you, including Romy, but maybe ashes of roses is the more effortless one, blends in with your tones and does brighten your face while being easy to wear. I have Golightly and I don’t wear it much because it’s too bright the majority of the time, but I wonder if Audrey would be better as it’s a bit more red leaning/ less white. Rainbow spill is in a similar colour family but much more saturated and less pastel than Golightly and works much better on me.

That’s exactly it, Ashes of Roses is more ‘effortless’ on me than Romy. But if I pair Romy with a liner, @tzoe875 suggested a taupe or beige, I think that would move it up several spots in the ranking. “Pastel”, “more/less white”… THOSE are the words I was looking for when talking about Audrey! When I think 1960s lipstick, I think Austin Powers gogo dancers😂. Opaque pastel lipsticks with white in them. Audrey is not that, phew!😅

I bought Ashes of Roses for myself and 6 friends. Our coloring goes go from fair and redhead to deep ebony and cool, and includes me, medium-depth and olive, as well as my Asian friend who is very decidedly "golden" in undertone. It looks different on all of us, but it looks GOOD on all of us. It's like that movie with the one magic pair of jeans that fits every body. I would recommend Ashes of Roses to anyone who can't decide on one shade to try.

You’re right! According to Gemini, there are 3 main formulas of CT’s twist-up lipsticks. A) Matte Revolution B) K.I.S.S.I.N.G: satin finish C) Superstar Lips: high shine So yeah, it’s definitely B. Thanks so much for watching and for leaving a comment!🙏 🙌

Ah good point about the eye look not being the best for the red lip. Thinking about Taylor Swift for example, you see her w red lips, black winged liner, and what looks like a bare lid. So maybe my eye look has a lot going on and is competing with the lipstick. Your opinion is always welcome, thank you!

I prefer cool tones, but I was surprised at how much I love Ashes of Roses. So, my ranking would be: Medici, Ashes of Roses, and Romy...the others, I'm not interested in. I love the shade Ribbon, but since I prefer my reds to be matte, and already have it in the Velvet formula, I won't be buying it in this Rouge Experience. However, I WILL buy the Cherry as soon as it's released! Thank you for swatching them all on the lips and side-by-side on your arm. I loved the picture cards and the exercise of moving them around until you settled on a lineup!
