I worked for the Braves GameDay Staff in Braves Vision for 10 1/2 seasons and left in the middle of the 2021 season for a FT job. Thinking I had missed my chance to be awarded any sort of staff ring once the Braves won it all…I simply dismissed that idea and moved on with my life at the start of ‘22. Well, as luck may have it, in March of that year I received a phone call from my then manager of the Braves informing me that I would be receiving a GameDay Staff WS ring later that summer. It was such an amazing time and ceremony one hot June evening in Atlanta, GA and a moment in my life that I’ll cherish for years. My ring looks similar to the cheaper $300 ring fans could buy from Jostens but the A in the center is encrusted with diamonds and much smaller than the player / executive ring. It’s also wearable and doesn’t at all look too big on the hand. I say all of that to say the Braves 2021 WS ring is definitely number one in my book though the Marlins 2003 ring is very impressive for the time it was produced.

That Atlanta 2021 ring is insane in person like I don't think many people realize the size and detail of it they made one of the largest championship rings ever while still making even the smallest details perfect I do agree I would have loved seeing more color in the face of the ring but one very important fact you left out is that entire ring is gold which colored stones in it no part of it is painted or made from colored glass which is how almost all rings including the Astros ring you put at number one got it's color the Braves 2021 ring has without a doubt the highest raw material value because like I said it's all diamonds and gold that's why the Braves wore a gold trim on the logos in 2022

Small correction to the Washington ring, The White House is not on it, and the skyline shown features left to right, The Lincoln Memorial, The Washington Monument, The Capitol Building, and The Jefferson Memorial. Living nearby, and rooting for them year after year, 2019 was a great year for us, and I wish we had kept some of out best players.

As for if they should get the same ring as the players, bit of a tough call. The players are the ones going out to earn the World Series berth, but the staff keeps everything running. I think the current system is fine and if owners go above and beyong that's their decision.

Imo the modern rings are way too huge and kind of hard to imagine them actually getting worn as an actual ring instead of sitting in a trophy case or sock drawer. For me, peak rings were late 90s, early 00s with best ones being 98 Yankees and 04 Red Sox imo.

5:12 Awesome, so the Jays DO have a ring. This is great because the Toronto Blue Jays have the distinction of being the only Canadian team in the MLB. Love the enamelled maple leaf. Enamel is liquid glass, basically glass particles dissolved in water. It’s brushed into a space in the ring and gets baked in an oven. Very cool

I tend to put more value on what the ring means to the fanbase, especially if it breaks a LONG dry spell of at least 25 years (or a first ever) as a higher priority. Certainly couldn't go wrong with your top 5 choices. In chronological order, I'd place the '72 A's, '75 Reds, '80 Phillies, '85 Royals. '87 Twins, '92 Blue Jays, '95 Braves, '97 Marlins, 2001 D'backs, 2002 Angels, 2004 Red Sox, 2005 White Sox, 2010 Giants, 2016 Cubs, 2017 Astros, 2019 Nationals, and 2020 Dodgers at a higher premium for each of those franchises. (Not neglecting the 2015 Royals nor the 2021 Braves as both also broke a 25 year dry spell, but trying to keep it at one per franchise,)

So, now that the 2022 Astros ring has been revealed, where would you put it in this ranking? For me, I do like it a lot (especially the more I look at it) and I love that it has a good amount of color. However, I feel like the 2017 ring is still superior and that more historical and unique elements could have been incorporated into the 2022 ring to better represent Houston's 60th anniversary as a franchise, which is my biggest gripe. In my head, I was thinking something like the 2018 Warriors ring where the center logo would be the standard H star logo, but then you can flip it over to display the original 1965 Astros logo with the Astrodome on it. That would've looked AMAZING. Then again, there's no reason that can't be saved for a future ring! ;)
