UP Locos look great when they are clean. Too bad most to the time they look like they have been used to wipe a butt. CN is my all time favorite, but it’s close with BNSF. Gotta give BNSF credit for how clean they keep their equipment.

Personally I'd rank UP last. Those flags were added right after 9/11, and it stuck when it should've just been around for a year or 2. Seeing the American Flag dirty on the side is the same as waving a tattered flag..

What about the new schemes from Ferromex? The "small" units are being repainted on the new GMXT "Ferrococa" scheme (for example the SD40-2 like FXE 3111, 3163, 3139, 3123, 3227 etc), and the "big ones" are being repainted on the new GMXT "Zebra" scheme (for example AC4400CW FXE 4572, 4528 and ES44AC FXE 4824, 4686, 4660, etc). Most of the class1 schemes stink. KCS seems to be about the best, but that will change with CP. One of the prettiest ones was D&H,but thats gone too. One of the best today is a shortline/ regional--- LAKE STATE RWY, in Michigan .

If you are admitting a bias, WTH kind of list is this? While I will admit that the NS scheme is bad, the UP and BNSF are only marginally better. In fact, IMO, the UP is the second worst on the list only to NS. KCS, CN, and CP are all far better looking.

All ranked lists are bias by nature. There is somebody out there that thinks that Penn Central had the best scheme of all time. It is matter of opinion. I do admit that if I was looking from a totally unbiased perspective the KCS and CN are maybe more complex or designed better but I personally like the UP scheme more.

@@daylight4449 No, "all ranked lists" are not biased by nature. That is true if the ranking is by one person alone. Ranked lists done with some sort of voting by numerous people take that individual bias away. Individually there would still be a bias but collective results smooth it out and make it more fair. This would have been honest if you titled it "My personal favorite railroad paint schemes". The funny thing is that you admit that others are better.

Pacific National is better because the railroad itself has less train crashes and has better dispatchers and very well trained train engineers and conductors than that Urine Pathetic. Unlike the Union Pacific which the railroad itself has several or many more crashes and untrained conductors and locomotive enginers. On their switches the PN has has padlocks on their track switches they also have padlocks on trains also which the Union Pacific has no padlocks on their switches and the doors of their locomotives well not just the Pacific National their are more train companies that are similar to PN. Do you know the Deucthse Bahn? It's bigger than the Urine Pathetic and the Burlington Northern Santa Fe combined with a revenue of $50B and $23B and $22B the DB railway can carry both passenger and freight while the Urine Pathetic rigway only carries freight. Thus, Deutsche Bahn has s high speed (PASEENGER) rail which their speen train can reach 260 mph compare to amtraks avelia 220 mph. They also have pad locks on their switches and their trains as well their conductors and train engineers are very well trained compared to the Pacific National and the Union Pacific. But PN's engineers and conductors are still superior and the UP is very inferior.

I do not like Amtrax gay blue wave paint scheme very lame The fact that it's not symmetrical or from the front to the back and the color palette is so drab I like the paint scheme of the Genesis when they were silver with the red white and blue stripe that matched the freaking passenger cars that's why I hate the gay Blue Wave cuz it does not match the passenger train that it pulls
