FINALLY someone who loves the unicorn and the wasp as much as I do I'm also a massive fan of midnight, one of my favourite episodes. However I have to ask how anyone could put series 6 above both series 1 and 4!? Series 1 is my third favourite, series 5 second favourite and series 4 is my all time favourite. I found some episodes to be pretty bad, especially from the second half, and I don't think the series ark and general structure of the series paid off, but I find most of the individual stories to be strong enough for me to still enjoy the series as a whole.

10) Series 7 - it's overcomplicated, it spoiled a great ending for the Ponds and introduces the worst companion of all time 9) Series 6 - Not great, starts to introduce the annoying childish 11th Doctor 8) Series 2 - The worst of RTD by far, has more bad episodes than good and Love and Monsters is the new series version of Paradise Towers 7) Series 8 - Clearly written for Matt Smith, it doesn't really settle on a character for Capaldi - you get dark and serious like Into the Dalek and then Smith style comedy like the shite Robin Hood one. The reveal of Missy is excellent though. 6) Series 9 - I started to love Capaldi in this series and loved the 2 parter layout. The Zygon story was the first time since S5 where I thought "Yes, that was a great story". Capaldi is held back by Clara though and she shouldn't be here. Heaven Sent is a fantastic story. 5) Series 3 - Has some good stories, but the romance side of it is crap - I would've loved Derek Jacobi to get more time as the Master though, his line "I am the Master" is the only time the Master has ever scared me. 4) Series 10 - I loved the last series, Capaldi finally got to shine without the baggage of Clara and Nardole was used well to take some of the silliness off the Doctor. Only 4th as it has Smile, which is dull as mud, and The Eaters of Light, which is clearly a filler story. 3) Series 5 - Smith's Doctor was good in S5, The Eleventh Hour is great and has a great "I'm the Doctor" moment to signal 11's arrival. The Weeping Angels 2 parter is my favourite Matt Smith story. 2) Series 1 - I love Ecclestone's Doctor and he was my favourite until S10, it doesn't have a bad story but it has started to date a bit now. 1) Series 4 - Flawless.

Eccleston did say he didn't want the Doctor and Rose to have a relationship but that's not the only reason why. There may be more reasons but I know one reason is because he had problems with someone in the crew, I don't know who specifically. If anyone knows any other reason for him leaving please let me know because I'd like to know.

I do think the romance worked better with 10. Shouldn't have been there but would have been much weirder with 9. I almost completely agree with your list and everything you said about each series. I really think series 3 is underrated.

Hi Wingy, love your videos. I just rewatched your 2000 subscribe video where you reacted to your favourite episode ever in the history of television itself - Hell Bent - and it made me think - what if you began a series where you react to shit episodes and if that gets too negative, you could contrast it with a few reactions to your favourite episodes. It'd be great to see you react to episodes with Dan to see your differing views. Perhaps now and then you could react to episodes that you love that Dan hates or episodes that Dan loves but you hate.

For me series 1 and 4 are by far the best however my favourite episode of new Who is Heaven Sent which is amazing. I agree with you Wingy that the Doctor shouldn't be a romantic figure and I think they sadly used the Twilight film idea with that and that also annoyed me. I hate series 6 with its boring River Song story line dragging on far too long.The Doctor marrying River is just wrong and I hate these soap opera stories in modern Who. The Doctor is an alien and A sexual and by bringing romance into it ruins the character and makes him too human. Donna was a great companion and my favourite of modern Who. Fantastic video.

1) series 10- this for me has the best finale, which is what pushes it over series 4 and 5. Only real dissapointment is the very end of the monk trilogy, ie the last five minutes of lie of the land 2) series 5- No duds for me, although the silurian two parter is frustrating at times 3) series 4- stolen earth and journeys end let this one down, really rushed finale, very boring dalek plot, also the two david tennants was too much. all the rest of the series is incredible though 4) series 1- massive fan of christopher eccleston, i really love most of the episodes, end of the world and the long game are let downs. 5)series 9- lets just pretend that hell bent doesnt exist, otherwise, it has some absolutely brilliant episodes in. 6) series 3- not a fan of the first half of the series, but the second half is exceptional 7) series 6- finale is shite, curse of black spot is also shite 8) series 8- in the forest of the night is the most boring thing ive ever seen, however, this series is when clara becomes a human u can stand to watch on television, plus capaldi and missy boost the whole series 9) series 2- absolutely hate the romance between rose and the doctor, and half this series is utter crap 10) series 7- the only only thing putting this above series 11 is cold war, and also the fact that this series had some seriously big guest stars in ian mckellen, richard e grant, diana rigg, liam cunningham. Still shit tho, and i think matt smith is so unbearably cocky in this series 11) series 11- i kinda like jodie, but she needs some serious moments to prove herself. The fact that the most decent villain was a fricking postman speaks miles about this series lack of any plot or threat. Plus, i think the series really misses murray gold also why on earth did chris chibnall get rid of jamie mathieson???? his four episodes are incredible, and he had a lot more to give to the show!!!!

Great video, always fun to hear others opinions. My list would go: 10. Series 9 - lack of any real arc to keep the audience hooked and the one running theme we get (the hybrid) goes no where at all and comes down to basically an internet debate between The Doctor and not Arya. Best Episode: Heaven Sent. Worst Episode: Hell Bent. Underrated Episode: The Woman Who Lived. Overrated Episode: Face the Raven (not bad but not brilliant) 9. Series 7 - The mid season split really lets this down, the build up to Amy and Rory's departure was done very well but the second half of the season is a big let down. Clara is boring and the arc she is giving doesn't help one bit, I think we all would have been better of if Victorian Clara went with the Doctor, hell I would have preferred Oswin. There aren't many notable episodes either, there are good ones sure, but not many ones that leave a lasting impression. Best Episode: A Town Called Mercy. Worst Episode: The Day of the Doctor. Underrated Episode: The Rings of Akhaten. Overrated Episode: Cold War 8. Series 6 - The arcs are all over the place and everything is resolved in the least imaginative way possible (it is literally The Last Jedi of Doctor Who). Most of the episodes under perform and awesome ideas are abandoned. Amy and Rory steal the show in my opinion as this is where Smith entered his silly stage and started to decline as the Doctor for me. Best Episode: The Girl Who Waited. Worst Episode: Night Terrors. Underrated Episode: A Christmas Carol. Overrated Episode: A Good Man Goes to War (I like this story, but it is not a masterpiece) 7. Series 2 - A bunch boring episodes where nothing worth noting happens for most of the season, even Sarah Jane Smith coming back feels like an after thought. The Doctor & Rose are so insufferable in this season it's frustrating, I don't think I have ever hated the Doctor more than I have with this series, he is so obnoxious and up himself and not in the frankly cool Colin Baker way. Best Episode: The Impossible Planet/ The Satan Pit. Worst Episode: Fear Her. Underrated Episode: The Idiot's Lantern. Overrated Episode: Doomsday 6. Series 8 - I don't know why but I really like the tone of this season. Capaldi is on fire and I wish Clara was because she is at Tennant levels of frustrating in this season. It seems there goal here was to get the audience to hate Capaldi with the way Clara and other characters treated him. Capaldi deserved better and anytime Clara was mad with the Doctor I just couldn't help but think, he has done nothing wrong at all. I liked the approach they had for a more morally grey Doctor. It was a great place to take the character and unfortunately was abandoned by the next series. Best Episode: Dark Water/ Death in Heaven. Worst Episode: Kill the Moon. Underrated Episode: The Caretaker). Overrated Episode: So many to choose from, Listen is very 50/50 on how people feel so I would day Flatline 5. Series 3 - Basically Last of the Time Lords brings the season down a bit for me, that combined with the Doctor continuing to be a twat, ignoring Martha because he is hung up on Rose. This also makes all classic companions look like nothing as the Doctor never acted this way during the classic series and some companions died and the Doctor moved on. The Doctor acting like this didn't advance the plot, just serves as a reminder of how much he loves Rose for all the teens out there who love that stuff, pointless. Besides that this series is simply stunning. Best Episode: Human Nature/ The Family of Blood. Worst Episode: Last of the Time Lords. Underrated Episode: Daleks in Manhattan/ Evolution of the Daleks. Overrated Episode: It's pretty cliche to say Blink but I'm doing it anyway. 4. Series 5 - The tone, the Doctor, the companion, everyone is so fresh in this season and it's a shame that by the end it has started it's transition from fantasy-fairy tale feel to full blown convoluted rubbish that was series 6 but up until The Big Bang we get a line up of excellent episodes (for the most part) with some excellent story telling. Best Episode: Vincent and the Doctor. Worst Episode: Victory of the Daleks. Underrated Episode: The Beast Below. Overrated Episode: The Eleventh Hour (a fine episode but not mind blowing) 3. Series 4 - Tennant at his best, no love, no jealousy just The Doctor and Donna travelling in space (mostly Earth) and time (mostly present day). Sadly the finale is lacking any real creative genius and I feel it is the laziest series finale we have had to date (although Donna's departure is truly heartbreaking), with returning characters, action scenes and a fake out shock regeneration disguising an awfully weak plot when you strip it back. Evil dude is gonna do an evil thing that will kill all the universe, but why, Davros' motives are just stupid. In the classic series he was cold, calculating and insane but he was a scientist and extremely intelligent. To be burdened with such a lazy plot just makes him look like a boring character which he is far from. Besides that everything is really well written and executed. The specials however are a bit hit and miss and The End of Time is just dreadful (Besides Wilf of course). Best Episode: Silence in the Library/ Forest of the Dead. Worst Episode: The End of Time. Underrated Episode: Planet of the Ood. Overrated Episode: The Stolen Earth/ Journey's End. 2. Series 10 - I love this series. No it's not perfect but Capaldi feels so right in the role this time round, much closer to his Series 8 portrayal than in Series 9. It's a bit jumbled in the sense that there is no real plot that carries over the season (apart from Missy becoming good) Just things that pop up here and there and I actually enjoy this approach. It means the episodes can focus on being episodes without having to worry about fitting a grander plan, which after 9 seasons of this is a relief. The Monk trilogy started strong but by the end had falling apart and was forgotten about quicker than Adam Mitchell. Sadly Capaldi's departure was one of the worst in the shows history, completely unfitting to one of the best actors who has played the role. Best Episode: World Enough and Time. Worst Episode: Twice Upon A Time. Underrated Episode: Thin Ice. Overrated Episode: Knock Knock. 1. Series 1 - My only gripe is how quickly Rose can flirt with other men even though she has Mickey but other than that this series is absolutely breath taking. Every episode matters, you can't skip an episode because you will miss something that will come up later, you don't know when but it will and it is storytelling at it's finest. I truly believe there is no bad episodes in this whole series it is that damn good. Best Episode: Bad Wolf/ The Parting of the Ways. Weakest episode: Rose (just because there is so much ground work that needs to be done that the climax feels rushed). Underrated episode: Boom Town. Overrated Episode: I honestly cannot answer this.

Liked the video, but the wind was REALLY annoying. My ranking of the series: 10. Series 6 (too complex and difficult to follow making most episodes bad) 9. Series 7 ( I prefer part 1 than part 2 of series 7. Most episodes are boring or uninteresting or even terrible, such as Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS, Nightmare in Silver) 8. Series 8 (First three episodes I like Peter Capaldi as the 12th doctor, but I really hated the 12 doctor in Kill the Moon as well as not liking Clara.) 7. Series 9 ( I didn't mind changing the personality of the 12th doctor even though it was out of nowhere and inconsistent, Clara is better in series 9 than she was in series 8, LOVE Heaven Sent but HATE Hell Bent.) 6. Series 2 (liked 10th doctor and Rose even if their relationship sometimes went a little too far. Mostly enjoyable episodes, but series 2 did have a rough start.) 5. Series 3 ( like 10th doctor again and for the most part liked Martha. Some episodes were disappointing such as the dalek two-parter and I though the finale with the Master could have been even better than it turned out.) 4. Series 10 ( LOVE Peter Capaldi in this series, he is at his best and LOVE Bill and Nardole. We haven't had a series this great in a while in my opinion.) 3. Series 5 ( in terms of nostalgia series 5 is the best but as a whole I still love series 5. This series is easily Matt Smith's best series. I also love Amy too.) 2. Series 1 ( Like the characters and the emotional aspects of them, iconic episodes such as Dalek, The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances and Bad Wolf/The Parting of the Ways.) 1. Series 4 ( LOVE the relationship between the Doctor and Donna, all episodes are from descent to awesome, and it was just fun.)

Now that 11. series is out... I. 4 II. 2 III. 1 IV. 3 V. 5 VI. 9 VII. 7 VIII. 6 IX. 8 X. 10 XI. 11 Series 4 easily as no. 1 for me. First ever episode/story I saw, was The Silence In The Library/Forest Of The Dead. So funny, emotional & exciting. And so is the whole series in fact (including the specials). And I have to place no. 2-4 at the same position, really. All of them (series 1-3) have got the action, humour and drama I want, but they also have the weird & poor episodes/moments in them, like the Slitheen (although the story's got some great moments, but the first fart just...lets not talk about that...), Love & Monsters & the one where Gatiss is the awful CGI monster, The Lazarus Experiment? And series 11 was just...awful. I mean the 13th Doctor was ok, I guess, a bit blah. I also loved the idea of a big group travelling with the Doctor, but the stories...boring. Poorly written stories. And there was actually an episode I just simply could not finish, cause it was so awkward and horrible. Never happened before.

*Warning Unpopular opinions below* Sorry but Season 1 looked crap. It isn't old enough to look charming but old enough to look shit, story wise it's also hit and miss. Series 6 has a ridiculous complicated story arc but I really liked it as it was some brilliant moments such as the first two episodes, God Complex, The flesh two parter and more. Hell, even the overly complicated arc is good with in itself.
