As a warriors fan, I will happily assert that any other year damn near that rockets team cruises to a championship similar to how the Celtics did this year. Like, they crushed basically everyone but us, cause we were the greatest team ever. That WCF was bigger than the real finals that year imo. To me, whoever won that was going to get the trophy. I remember still being terrified even while they were missing all those threes game 7. I vividly remember getting pissed at some of our turnovers and saying "FUCK, the rockets just want it more than us! This would set basketball back decades if we let this style of play win."

They gotta go up a tier. 2015 warriors won a mickey ring with a mickey roster and it was the perfect case of right place, right time because the league hadn’t yet seen or adjusted to their playstyle. Maybe this is personal, but Festus Ezeli, Mo Speights, Leandro Barbosa, old David West and David Lee are not moving me. I’d also argue that 2016 Cavs should go in S and 2018 Warriors should go in A but that’s more debatable. I’d say S tier for Cavs because if the Warriors won, they would be in S tier no question. The Cavs won three straight games against an S caliber team including game 7 on their home floor. Lastly, the Warriors would not have won the Houston series if the rockets didn’t have a historic shooting collapse and if chris paul wasn’t made of glass bones. Houston didn’t even play that well beforehand and were still notably outperforming the Warriors through 5 games. … okay maybe that was more than a few
