In the 19th century, a man named Charles Babbage conceptualized the "Analytical Engine," an early mechanical general-purpose computer. While the machine was never completed, due to both technological limitations and lack of funding, Babbage's design contained many features that would later become integral to modern computing, including an arithmetic logic unit (ALU), control flow via conditional branching, loops, and even memory storage in the form of punched cards. However, one particularly bizarre and relatively useless aspect of the Analytical Engine was that Babbage, for reasons that remain somewhat unclear, chose to use a base-60 number system (sexagesimal) rather than the more standard base-10 system (decimal) that most modern human cultures use for everyday counting. He was influenced by the ancient Sumerians, who chose 60 because it was highly divisible, making calculations easier in some ways. This choice would have made the machine’s operation extremely difficult for most people to understand, as it would require using 60 different symbols to represent numbers between 0 and 59 in each digit, compared to the relatively simple 10 symbols in our base-10 system. But, as if that wasn’t nerdy enough, there’s also the fact that Babbage envisioned a form of "programming" for his machine, and he even developed early forms of algorithms intended for his device. These early algorithms are now recognized as some of the first instances of computer programming, and it was an English mathematician named Ada Lovelace who first recognized that the Analytical Engine could be used for more than just arithmetic calculations-suggesting it could also manipulate symbols, laying the groundwork for what would eventually become modern computer science. Despite this incredibly advanced conceptualization, the Analytical Engine was never built, and Babbage’s visionary work remained, for all intents and purposes, a grand nerdy footnote in history. And just for fun, the number 60 is also used in various ways throughout different systems and cultures: time (60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour), angles (360 degrees in a circle, with 60 minutes per degree), and even in astronomy (the Earth’s equator is divided into 60 parts). But when it comes to the Analytical Engine, we’re left with the nerdy trivia of Babbage’s questionable decision to stick with base-60, which no one uses today in practical computing, and which remains a testament to just how weird and wonderful the history of computing can be.

I Hope there will be Like an antarctic Expedition Themed upd Ik it doesnt have much do to with xmas but the iceitems don’t rlly either. As the ancient I would want a FX grappling hook gun with a rope Trail and custom Sound and for the knive I would want a icepick Evo with a matching effect of Like icy metally looks. For the gifting Item I would want a icicle knive and for the Box a gun a lugerfrost and ofc Chroma varietions for Both of them. The leaderboard trophies would obviously be the ancient and the evo. Then there would be an itempack with a clear crystal Shard and matching gun a light Blue icy godly Tier effect wiches animation would be freezing the killed player and a Radio. There would be a challenge to make tasks everyday to get a set of Expedition clothes that create an Outfit and if you have the Outfit combined it would be untradable and you would Receive a new murderer ability( you would be able to freeze the floor to make it slippery so that the Players would get slower for 5 secs for 1-2 Times in a round but if you would have the Expedition clothes on with Spiky shoes it wouldnt affect you) Addition to the Update would be the permanent ban of any Type of exploiters. And the speedglitches would be patched too. The top 100 leaderboard prices would be light Blue. The Lobby would be a antarctic base camp. And the new map would be a ice Cave System( a Bit Like a Christmas themed mineshaft). And the last thing would be that the Workshop map would Return. Pls comment if you like my idea. It Tool a while to think Abt Everything and to Type this. I even made scethes for this idea.😅
