Ranking Every Clawdeen Doll!

Somehow I didn't notice during filming OR editing (finally caught it doing subtitles lol), but not only did I spontaneously change the ranking of one doll mid sentence, I also called two dolls the Ghouls Night Out Clawdeen. Big apologies for this, I don't know where my brain was 😅 Hope y'all can enjoy despite that!

Clawdeen is supposed to be all about fashion, but I always felt a lot of her dolls had really tacky looking clothes. It might just be because those clothes are no longer seen as fashionable now though.

I really love the original Clawdeen tbh it really surprises me that she didn't stand out to you. She gives me almost 80's vibes and I really love that because it invokes memories of the best horror movies from the 80's with werewolves and the thriller music video.

The thing with Freak du Chic, I really love what they did with the skin just because they were going for a more pastel look, and I LOVE the pastel goth look she has going on. Both her and Twyla were Target exclusives and Twyla’s skin was also changed to make the doll look more pastel as well. So for me Freak du Chic gets a pass for the skin change, and I own the Clawdeen one and I absolutely love her!

Oh I'm so excited, Clawdeen has some of my favorite *and* most disliked MH looks. With the Haunted clawdeen it's a bit different in person because her body is semi translucent like the others, I think it just photographs really light as a result. The color is also more saturated, almost looks like literal caramel? All of the haunted series have a more saturated tone to their bodies and it's a bit of a trip to look at. Thank you for putting Sweet 1600 in perfect where she deserves to be. 💖 The short hair Clawdeens tend to be my favorites, though a couple of them I would not keep in their original clothes. My absolute favorite Clawdeen is Dawn of the Dance. There is nothing more I could ask from Clawdeen doll. I also literally love all of the Coffin Bean and Scary Tale dolls so those Clawdeens also gets a perfect for me. I have a weird soft spot for the Shriek Wrecked dolls despite the reboot faces, and Clawdeen does make a very cute pirate. I've seen a few people just redress other Clawdeens in the outfit or heads swap for the old mold with similar hair rooting and it looks much better. There were so many good I Heart Fashion dolls but Clawdeen's wasn't a standout. They did her wrong. I 100% understand why Great Scarrier Reef Clawdeen is an overall disliked doll; as a customizer I love finding junky ones thrifting though. The great scarrier reef dolls in general are really versatile for OOAK. It is weird though. If they did different color castings more with the other characters it would be one thing, but that's far from the case. That's definitely something I hope doesn't carry over into the upcoming new production series. The only good Ghouls Alive doll was Robecca and she didn't even get real distribution. 😭 The tea Clawdeen looks like if Clawdeen got transported to EAH. I love the Freak Du Shriek dolls but if they were going to do a grey body should have at least kept the shade value the same as her regular skin tone?

Thanks for letting me know about the Haunted doll, I never saw her in person so it's good to know at least that one was more a photography issue. I'm sure the Great Scarrier Reef dolls are awesome for customizing! I've only ever done one custom doll and would love to do more, I have terrible luck thrifting though 😅

My Top 5 Clawdeens: 1. Skull Shores (I don't care for beach lines but everything about this one was stunning) 2. 13 Wishes (The black, the purple, the gold, the lighter hair. Everything about this one is stunning) 3. Scaris (Scaris Clawdeen was my favourite from the Scaris line. She's what I picture when I think of fashionista Clawdeen) 4. Ghouls Night Out (Another one I really like. Clwdeen just needs to stick to black purple and gold. It's perfect on her!) 5. Rockband (I loved the Jem and the Holograms vibes with this one and Clawdeen was definetly my fave.) I do think Clawdeen suits the green/purple split tone / short hair but I don't like green! I also hope happen to like her Book York and Dead Tired looks. *shrug*

I really love Freak du Chic Clawdeen. I don't mind her skin colour. Scarily Ever After is a great doll. All the dolls in that line were great. I love Dawn of the Dance and New Scaremester. I have a soft spot for some MH budget doll. Coffin Bean is so cute. Music festival Clawdeen has one of the most gorgeous of Clawdeen's faces. I also love her hair in that version. I have affinities with ghosts and I really love the Haunted line. I think Haunted Clawdeen is great especially because she was a budget line doll. All the budget Haunted dolls are great I think. I also quite like Boo York Boo York, quite cute in her shorts!

I have to agree Clawdeen is not my favourite of the dolls, when they came out I was very drawn to Lagoona but now I can appreciate the others too. I do now love Lagoona, Ghoulia and Rochelle.

I wonder if the people behind the g3 music fest dolls were aware of the lack luster g2 line of the same theme. It could be that someone never like that one and decided they could do the concept justice. Cause those dolls are CUTE!!! (if this is true...I wonder if we'll get some other redo doll lines. It could be a coincidence though.)

The changing of the skin tone for her was also a little weird for me cuz why make her lighter? I love her but for a girl who's basically a fashion designer they made alot of her dolls look "ok"

Scarier reef was one of the first movies I watched and when I first saw Clawdeen bc of her skin tone I was like “who is that??” It took me a couple minutes to realize it was clawdeen

honestly same with the never being a huge clawdeen fan. i absolutely adore her character in the movies & web show, but a good chunk of her dolls never clicked with me. my favorite ones of her are original dead tired, freak du chic (though making her, a dark skinned girl, grey, doesn't sit fully right with me lol), & scarily ever after. i do also really like both ghouls rule & skull shores

We share a lot of the same PERFECT Clawdeens :D I only have one of them (being Skull Shores) but the rest of my favs are all ones I’d love to have one day. I couldn’t collect MH dolls so I only have a good amount of them being gifted to me as a kid. Clawdeen was my favorite character but I literally only have ONE Clawdeen 😭 Gloom Beach Clawdeen has definitely been a dream of mine to have since I was a kid, hopefully I’ll get her some day. My best friend had The Scarily Ever After Clawdeen but I think her mom got rid of her dolls sadly 🥲

11:22 personality I feel like the lighter skin is a good thing because they were charged into ghosts. They were meant to be extremely pale/transparent.

I think the issue is it doesn't seem to be consistent through the Haunted line. Like maybe Twyla and the others are a little lighter but it isn't (at least to me) nearly as noticeable as on Clawdeen which makes it feel intentional

I'm much more mixed with Claween as she's my least fav of the main ghouls. In order from best to worst in tiers: -Perfect: Skull Shores, Ghouls Rule, Ghostly Tea Party, Freak du Chique, 13 Wishes, Scare and makeup -Good: Fierce rockers, Scarily ever after, haunted, frights camera action, school's out (wave 2), swim class, gloom beach, scaris -Good but not for me: sweet 1600, first day of school, maul monsterista, great scarrier reef, roller maze, ghouls night out, I love fashion, coffin bean, dawn of the dance, new scaremester -Mediocre: Original, ghouls alive, boo york, room to howl, howleen 2 pk, killer style, dance the fright away, field trip, electrified, save frankie, music festival, ghouls beast pet, shriekwrecked, dead tired -Bad but it gets worse: power ghouls, ghoul sports, ice scream, family 4 pk, monster family, sleepover, locker, winning werewolves, basic 2015, how do you boo -Burn it: Emoji, Wolf to wolf, Ghoul Spirit, swimsuit
