I am a doll artist who owns recast bjds. I enjoy making clothes and accessories for these dolls but cannot spend hundreds of dollars to buy one from the real artist. I kind of look at it like Barbie dolls vs. the knockoff Barbies sold at Dollar Tree or the like. If the consumer cannot afford an actual Barbie but can buy a fashion doll for $5 or less then they are going to do it. True Barbie devotees won't categorize or even allow the knock off dolls to share a shelf, let alone spend $$$.

Rainn, I LOVE your outfit!! Oh no I can totally understand you being frazzled about the lizard! I’m surprised your cats didn’t find it first! I didn’t buy Disney Store Rapunzel dolls for several years because the face seemed so off. I think the face is better now but still not quite accurate like most of other princess dolls are. I do agree with you on the 10th anniversary Rapunzel doll! I was so looking forward to her and had saved my money but nope she wasn’t doing it for me, the outfit seemed too simple and yes, I did not care for all the pink, it definitely bothered me too! Yes I remember you re-rooting your Rapunzel doll 😄 I don’t think I like any of the princesses from that Designer runway line! I put Rapunzel and Flynn with the chair into perfect too but I am biased since I have them 😉 I love that “I See the Light” was you first song you danced to! Oh WOW I love that painting so much, what a beautiful gift!! I want to like that Fairy Tale Lantern Rapunzel too but I can’t get over her rooted eyelashes, it’s such a simple nitpick but I just can’t stand them (because one is super long which I guess it could be trimmed), but it just bothers me 😂 I don’t mind owning this Rapunzel in tinsel especially since she’s with Mother Gothel, lol you said the same thing 😂 Yay you put Rapunzel and Gothel into perfect as well 😄 Yes I agree since the Midnight Masquerade isn’t movie accurate, they should have made her hair different. Wow I must have blocked out the last designer Rapunzel because I kept thinking who the last one could be cause I thought you described them all. I do appreciate that the last designer dolls all had designers play with the designs but yeah I do not care for this one either (except for the face!) Yeah I agree that this dress just doesn’t seem to have anything that screams Rapunzel whereas the other dolls from this line do have attributes from their movies. I never even noticed the green shoes before! A mix between a toddler and a grandmother would wear is the perfect description of this doll! 😂

Rapunzel has some of the best LE dolls that Disney has done, probably because her main outfit is so detailed in the movie so the designers have a good blueprint

I like the first doll you ranked, and the one with Mother Gothel. I never purchased any Rapunzel dolls because I didn’t think the faces were ever quite right. However, I’m not familiar with every doll produced, so I might like some of their faces. The first doll is really amazing. This was fun, and if you are up to it, maybe you could consider doing more Disney doll reviews. Maybe I’ve missed some you’ve done before I started following you though. The fabrics so bad XD Sarah’s skirts so unflattering, i feel like the heads, and then the stockings and boots look great to fine. If they swapped out the huge gold stuff with a nice belt then the accessories they had in the movie it would have been better even if it was the unpainted gold or even black

Monster high was my childhood, especially Abbey Bominable and Freaky fusion is my all-time favorite. Jinafire long is one of my favorites as well. I just can’t choose which which one they’re so good. The originals are so good the new ones I’m starting to like.
