Very arguable, but Views, NWTS and IYRTITL is probably drakes best period of music. Why I say this is because pre take care was drakes “Hunger” period, where he was hungry for what he has become. In this period he didn’t really have is own iconic sound but a collection of every other artists that has helped him sound. Post Views, I find drakes album not holding the same emotion like his previous ones. Not to say they was bad albums as I think quite the opposite, but they are just not the sound that’s made Drake iconic. If you showed anyone the NWTS album cover and the Morelife album cover, everyone will know that NWTS was from Drake whereas the Morelife cover could confuse those that are not really into rap.
