I hate when people claim Chapter 1 was only good because of nostalgia. For one, that’s not a bad thing, and two, the game was just too fun and iconic. You just had to be there, everyone irl was talking about the game, every win felt special, and Fortnite still had its identity

it was a great chapter, obviously, but most of the times when people are talking about it, IS nostalgia speaking. Of course, is okay to feel nostalgic, is part of life, BUT, when nostalgia is the main driver of your speech, you end up talking a lot more about the time, the context of this given time and the moments you experienced, than about the objectively aspects of the game itself. It was great, but not perfect, and not everything needs to come back, and somethings are better nowadays, but when you are driven by nostalgia, you are unable to see clearly

Someone didn't watch the video. Basically the simplicity of the game is what made it better. Not only that, but the experience of when it first started, because at the time it was different from other games that Fortnite was doing live events and a storyline. There definitely was a story, just not as shoved in your face as it is now. It's almost like an old movie where they didn't have voice acting, there was still a story but you just had to pay attention to it. Saying that chapter 3 in chapter 4 are the same and are "okay" what is the most disrespectful thing I have heard in a long time, because last time I checked chapter one is carried by nostalgia and it's good storytelling, in chapter 2 is ironically carried by two seasons, that would be season 2, and season 4, chapter 2 is arguably the most inconsistent chapter of time, you have primal season, you have season 1 being the longest season without an update, and the first update was a harpoon... And season 7 and 8 were the same thing, alien based seasons leading up to chapter 3, and also saying that chapter 6 is on top of chapter 3 and 4 it's just crazy as well.

Consistent is a key word Chapter 1 changes didn't make the game radically different. It just changed the game metas smoothly. In Chapter 2 with the addition of different forms of ai, mythics, and season 6, the game felt foreign to me.

Hot take: I enjoyed C3 S4. Idk why but many people disliked the movement and weapons but tbh I found the loot pool quite fair and I actually really enjoyed that chrome thing. Not to mention that when you applied chrome to your skin, it would make it like a shiny silver/gold colour, it made me think that my skin had an additional style to it. 😂 I’m happy that people are agreeing with me on this 😁 maybe some people did actually enjoy it just like me

Unpopular opinion but back in the day I in all seriousness hated Chapter 2 of Fortnite I personally only enjoyed season 2 and 3 of that chapter, I thought the map was terrible and ruined the flow of the game, never had an memorable POI’s, and the content past season was genially terrible in my opinion, Chapter 2 remix solidified my opinion even more.

We had consistent updates, 10 seasons, good map locations with multiple biomes, no crossovers being forced, fun loot pool, originality, no sbmm till season 10, no bots filling in games which ruins the satisfaction when getting a lot of kills and winning. Chapter 2 is extremely overrated. The gameplay felt fake and boring with the 60-90 bots or felt exhausting with sbmm in public games putting me in lobbies more sweaty than my unreal lobbies. So far chapter 6 is looking to be my new number 2 spot or even number 1 so it’s definitely not nostalgia, but bots and sbmm gotta go and they gotta fix the server delay.

Chapter 3 Chapter 3 is pretty forgettable apart from season 1, and despite all the problems with chapter 5, I still had fun. I just had to become more of a casual player, and less of a ranked/comp player, because if you looked at the chapter from a more open minded standpoint its not that bad.

In my opinion I would rate it 6. Chapter 5: 3/10 I did not really enjoy the map or guns. 5. Chapter 2: 7/10 I liked seasons 2,3 and 4 but the other seasons I did not enjoy and thought they were boring. 4. Chapter 6: 8/10 Cool map decent guns but nothing crazy. 3. Chapter 4: 9/10 Good map great guns and was very fun to play. 2. Chapter 3: 9/10 This chapter had my favorite map and a great vibe and the only bad part was season 4 was mid. Season 1 of chapter 3 is tied with chapter 1 season 5 and chapter 2 season 2 for my favorite season of fortnite. I loved the Spider-Man gloves and sprinting. 1. Chapter 1: 9/10 I would rate it a 10/10 but season X and season 1 were not great especially season X. But every other season I would rate a 8,9 or 10 out of 10. Taking out the nostalgia I would still say it would be number 1 but it is close.

Chapter 6 is okay at best, it's fixing the absolute horrors chapter 5 introduced, an OG is not even OG. We still have the same AR from chapter 2, the movement is the same, so are the structures and graphics. They tried but they failed. Reload is just 10 better.
