You totally nailed it with the "I can't believe this is free on KZbin" aspect of Helluva Boss, but no mention of the music? I think the way they incorporated the musical numbers into the show was great, and I'm normally not a big fan of characters suddenly bursting into song during a show. It also has a decent amount of episodes out at this point (16 I think?) which is significant considering that some of the other shows you mentioned only have a few episodes or just a pilot.

If it doesn’t end up hooking you by episode 3 it might not be for you, but I do agree that the tadc pilot hooked me more in the beginning.

Yea but Helluva Boss is a terrible written show. I dont know but people writing these characters or episodes dont know how to do it right at all. There are no character dynamics, character buliding, there is nothing such as progress in these characters like in Moxxie (bro is still a pethedic bitch episode after episode, acting like the last episode didnt even existed), humor and jokes are ... I'll say that it is impossible to create a good, based humor without established character dynamics so this show has a lack of humor (sex jokes, penis, sex sex and sex toys and sexxx ha ha and thats it). This show also jumped way to far into some lore, deep, dark back stories and plot. On the first shoot, I tought that it will be just a comedic series and maybe with some progress it'll be more constructed. But hell nah. They just destroyed totally the main plot line, main characters (Blitz and Stolas and their relationship, Stella, Striker, almost everyone important really), I think they cant come up with something different than daddy issues, their world building is starting to falling apart. For me this show is just a wasted-potential.

While Season 1 may have had its shortcomings in character development (not forgetting the sex sex sex jokes), season 2 takes things to a whole new level. You'll find more depth, more backstory (including the part where Stolas meets Blitzo for the first time, it helps us see why he cheated on his wife, even though it's clearly wrong), and more character development in this season. It's really where the series starts to shine, in my opinion, and I really do appreciate it. I believe it's unfair to criticize this series so harshly without giving it a fair chance. There's a lot to appreciate once you delve deeper into it. It's preferable to say that these types of shows might not match your vibe, but that's more about personal taste than any flaws.

Fun fact: As far as I remember, Lackadaisy's animated pilot took three YEARS to make, and the result of the production team's efforts really shows. The pilot also encouraged me to read the web-comics by the original author and artist, Tracy Butler, who also took part in the animated pilot's production. The reason being that there were a lot of things I didn't understand when I originally watched the pilot for the first time. And after reading the first page of the web-comic alone the weeks after the pilot's release date, I found myself literally bingeing lots of pages for only three days and two long nights until I finished the latest page released which, at the time, was "Epithet".

I don’t think many people know about this yet, but a few days ago a brand new series pilot called “Godspeed” just released. And let me tell you IT IS ONE OF THE BEST PILOTS IVE EVER SEEN. It has beautiful 2D animation topped with amazing voice acting. It’s story is about a young woman who is left behind on earth after most of the population has either died or left via spaceships because there is a large mass of energy and light about to destroy the planet. I would highly recommended if you enjoy apocalypse stories.

It felt SO good when you acknowledged Meta Runner and Sunset Paradise. Yeah, Digital Circus has potential and Murder Drones is undeniably awesome, but the other shows are really good too. SP was fun to watch. I think I wouldve liked it more if it focused a bit more on action than comedy, but the setting was colorful and felt video game-y and the characters were where the show really shined and I liked seeing Meggy overcome her inner demons It also upsets me how underrated Meta Runner is. The story is mysterious and engaging, the setting is neon and colorful like something out of a cyberpunk anime, the fights literally feel like anime, and AJ Dispirito had no reason to cook as good as he did on the soundtrack.

murder drones is also personally one of my favorites up there :D my only complaints would probably be the lore being a bit hard to keep up with unless i'm actively rewatching, and also the way the show treats the death of characters (such as people being killed off for la-funny moment, but when a main character dies its serious) but other than that, it's an awesome show! 👍

Murder Drones is definitely number 1 for me 😁. I love the characters, the lore, the mystery, the dark story, the action, the comedy, the strong horror vibes, the character designs, the environments, and the score of the show so much. I really liked this video i I doubt you will see this comment but I have a indie animation series to recommend if you are interested. Animator vs animation and animation vs Minecraft are two very different shows that are connected by there world and the main cast. All the characters are stick figures with no facial expressions or voices witch you may think makes it uninteresting but it actually gives a sort of charm and engagement that other shows don’t have. It all starts when an animator draws a stick figure and it comes to life and starts attacking the mouse cursor. The animation starts out unremarkable but soon turns into something to die for. Before I watched this show I didn’t know stick figures could make me cry but it is truly an incredible experience and such an enjoyable emotional roller coaster

Haven't watched this yet but I swear if BFDI isn't on this list Edit: Ohh boy, now I gotta give a whole ass explanation as to what it is Battle For Dream Island (or BFDI for short) is a 2010 Flash-animation web show made by the Huang twins (Cary and Micheal Huang) and has been around since January 1st, 2010. The first season, running until Jan. 5 of 2012, consisted of 20 inanimate objects competing for Dream Island, an island where, and I quote: "A whole square mile of paradise, A five-star hotel, a casino, 6 restaurants, robot servants, and the winner even gets to decide who comes in and who doesn't." At the time, Micheal and Cary were about 10 years old when making the first episode, however, the animation was still on par with others at the time. Later on, their animation inspired several others to make their own "Object Show," most notably Adam Katz, creator of Inanimate Insanity, a similar object show still progressing to this day along with BFDI's 5th season, BFDI: TPOT. After the show gained traction with the first season, the twins brought it back with BFDIA, aka, Battle for Dream Island Again. I won't go into detail of story for spoiler's sake, but I will say there are a few plot points in the future where you will have to watch BFDI season 1 to understand. After BFDIA 5e in 2013, the season went on a long hiatus before "returning" with IDFB, it's supposed season 3, which was abandoned after episode 1. season 4 was finished however, being BFB, the most well-known BFDI season to this day. In episode 16, a character named 2 arrives and splits the cast in half promising Two's wide range of abilities as a prize for BFDI: TPOT. (aka The Power Of Two) Later in 2023, BFDIA returned with episode 6 after 10 years and is progressing to this day. The most notable part of the series (at least for me) is how the animation style was always changing. even in season 1 when it was still just Cary and Micheal, you could tell they were constantly trying to one-up the quality of the last episode. Running gags are proficient throughout the series, and the community they have created, the OSC (object show community) has benefited them so much. Fun Fact: A character from BFB, more specifically the host, was one of the things that inspired Caine from TADC's personality. That's the effect the show has had on indie animation. And yet, the show has never left the OSC. It's absolutely criminal it isn't known by more. BFDI is already recognize by many people, why would you want more people too see it! BFDI has one of the lamest plots I’ve seen in a web series, the characters are bland, the voices are either annoying, or whatever, the host from season 1 is just an announcer with barely anything this guy has outside a hotel, six restaurants, etc, and the end of season 1 is bad. Like the only good thing this show has is the animation, and soundtrack.

I’m hoping that I can get my own animation out sometime within 3-5 years. I’ve been working on it, but my artistic capabilities are abysmal at best, so poor animation quality may be a minor setback for a while. My first animated series will be called “Fable of the Hunter”, about a teenage boy who, while on a school trip, is attacked by a mythological monster known as a Pterolycus. After suffering severe injuries, the protagonist is suddenly cast into a whole new world of mythologies and fairy tales come to life. It lies up to him to defend humanity from the Fables (Fae) that seek humanity’s destruction.

Hunter: The Parenting is a pretty unique comedy series I’d like to mention. I’m not sure if it really counts, seeing as a lot of the series is just audio dramas, but what is animated is hand-drawn and done in a unique way. I hope I can do be part of the indie animation show, also hate to disappointed all of you but its not going to be an adult indie animation show, its going to be an action/slice of life kids show(action kids for examples like ninja turtles, teen titans and samurai jack) its going to have a pilot movie, an introduction to our 6 heroes, first being Kenyon, (yeah I know the name sounds dumb for an main character but its just me) the pilot movie its going to lead into the series with either action, slice of life and sometimes horror. (the type of horror you're allowed to show to kids) The reason why I'm making an action kids show its because I want to stand out from most of the adult shows on KZbin, I'm just hoping I can make it on a streaming service too like vizipop's show.
