Supposedly Undertaker trained and was ready and wanting to do so much more with Cena. But for whatever reason Vince wanted it to be a squash. And especially then Cena was always in agreement with Vince, so Cena backed it because Vince wanted it. So it's just how it was, Taker was outvoted and Vince got his squash match. Vince must have one of two trains of thought here. One he feared the match just wouldn't be good. Or two Vince feared Undertaker was losing his aura after losing the streak and losing to Reigns, so since Taker only wrestled like once a year, squashing a top star in Cena was a quick way to repair Takers imagine and make him look like he's still a dominate force.

What I was hoping they would do for the WrestleMania 30 match with John Cena vs Bray Wyatt, would be that John Cena did in fact take that swing with the chair shot at Bray Wyatt, gets disqualified, gest beaten up so viciously by the Wyatt Family immediately afterwards, then Bray picks up a fallen John Cena and puts on a Sheep Mask just like with Rowen, effectively brainwashing John into doing his bidding. Then start a feud with Daniel Bryan using his family and a brainwashed Cena trying to get back at him for leaving his family. Just imagine how much of a mega heel Bray Wyatt would've instantly become?!

I just want this nerdy take out there. My dream match for Mania 41 is John Cena against the Rock for the title in an I Quit Bloodline rules match with the rest of Cena's scheduled appearances on the line. If Cena quits he quits for real. No such factor exists for the Final Boss as they are the champ and they have the prize Cena needs. In this thrice in a lifetime match, being promoted in a way that shows how both participants are in very different places from last time they fought, with a larger (kayfabe) disrespect for one another. That's my dream match anyway, with the dream spot in that match being Bloodline goons holding a battered exhausted Cena down, the Rock demanding Cena say the words. Cena saying "Joe Hendry " instead. Then a confident but confused Rock hears Hendry's music before Hendry comes out to deal with the goons so Rock and Cena can go 1 v 1 proper. Cody Rhodes, KO and CM Punk (especially with the odd history they have) aiding in taking out Bloodline members welcome. However the Bloodline is to strong and is besting our heroes. The Fina Boss is about to destroy Cena in a clever way using a ladder when R Truths music hits so the 52 year old super star can save their childhood hero John Cena. R Truth is soon overwhelmed by the Bloodline so the Miz comes out to save his friend and tag partner. The Miz AAs the Rock and hits a five knuckle shuffle. The Miz then holds the Rock in place so Cena can do some big damage with the ladder. The Rock quits. (The importance of Miz saving Cena is not lost on me). With the match over the Rock defeated and Cena victorious the Prize Fighter KO does a stunner on Rocky.

The undertaker vs cena is not his worst wrestlemania match. It had to be a squash due to undertaker just having hip surgery. Tbh it shouldn’t have happened at all during that period. If you’re going to bash the match, bash the fact that we didn’t get the match sooner when undertaker was in peak condition from 07-10. He would have carried Cena to a great match during that period.

People would've whined much more if they dragged cena vs taker instead of squash match. 2007 was the year for that match to happen in logical sense. 2014 or 16 was the year where they can replace both taker and cena matches with each other but I prefer cena vs Bray more in 2014 because Undertaker wasn't in good form during his match with Lesnar he looked exhausted means cena vs taker in 2014 would've ended so bad. 2016 taker was actually better than 14 and 15 so instead of Shane it should've been cena
