How do you rank the Judas Priest albums? Let me know down in the comments👇

For me, it is more based on my mood what album I put on. That is what I love about Priest.

Truth- much metal diversity with JP. Reason why they are my favorite metal band!

Your rankings are respectable. I would change some of them, but it’s a matter of personal taste and perspective. I’ve been a fan since the early 80s, so my favorites are a bit different. Thanks for doing this.

A respectable ranking, I would shuffle a few albums around but I like your list. I'm glad you liked Jugulator, I always thought that album was a good one and I agree it would have been better without some of those intros. My top five albums would be: 1. Painkiller 2. Screaming For Vengeance 3. Defenders Of The Faith 4. Firepower 5. Invincible Shield Last place would be Demolition. Judas Priest was my favorite band for over four decades until I discovered Lovebites last year. My top three bands are 1. Lovebites 2. Judas Priest 3. Iron Maiden. 🤘

Solid ranking! Painkiller had to take the number 1 spot. Personally for me it has always been a battle for no. 2 between 'Defenders...' and 'Stained Class'. After much drunk contemplating over the years I finally decided to go with 'Stained Class', simply because its the more groundbreaking album to me. Also it looks like I finally need to check out 'Invincible Shield'...

I'm 22, but I've been listening to Priest for about a decade... So here's my ranking: 19. Demolition (I dont like any songs on it...lyrics are very weird and Tipton's production is bad) 18. Rocka Rolla(I like 2 songs on it: Run of the Mill and Rocka Rolla) 17. Jugulator (Cathedral Spires is amazing. Ripper did an amazing job, but although I like it as it is, I'd really like to hear Rob sing this one. Burn in Hell is cool too...Most of other songs are forgetable) 16. Point of Entry (Heading on to the highway and Desert Plains are amazing, other songs not so much) 15. Turbo (title track, Reckless and Parental are good... Other songs are too cringe for me) 14. Redeemer of Souls (if they put bonus tracks on the album it would be top 10 for me easily. Fav tracks: Halls of Valhalla, Sword of Democles, Never Forget, Redeemer. Middle part is boring) 13. Nostradamus (I LOVE Exiled and Future of Mankind. If they didnt include those short 1 min fillers on it, it would be top 5 for me) 12. Killing Machine (I despise Take on the World! Fav songs: Hell Bent, Before the Dawn, Green Manalishi...) 11. Sin after Sin (start and end are fantastic, middle part not so much - Raw Deal, Last Rose of Summer and Here Come the Tears are the reason this album is so low, even though Sinner, Diamonds and Rust and Dissident are some of my favorite songs) 10. Angel of Retribution (I like every song on this album...the reason its so low is that I only LOVE 2 tracks - Judas Rising and Hellrider) 9. Firepower (no fillers, all songs are great, but just not as much as those on the other 8 albums) 8. Sad Wings of Destiny (this album would be in top 5 if it didnt have Genocide and Prelude. Other songs are incredible) 7. Ram it Down (its so high because my favorite song by them is on it... Blood Red Skies, but its not higher, because it has Love Zone... Fu*k that song) 6. British Steel (I'm kinda tired of listening to Living after Midnight, but objectively, this album is great. I really like Rapid Fire and Rage) 5. Invincible Shield (still listening to it every day since March. Its insane that they can make such an incredible album so late in their career. I really like all songs, except Vicious Circle, but thats a bonus track so it doesnt count) 4. Defenders of the Faith (top 4 albums are perfect, the reason this is the last of the 4 is, that it has Eat me Alive and the title track, which is great live, but not so much as an album track) 3. Stained Class (some of my favorite songs are on it. Exciter, Beyond the Realms, Saints in Hell, Better by You...only songs that are not one of my favorites are Savage and White Heat) 2. Screaming for Vengeance (I love all songs on it - escpecially Devils's Child, title track, Electric Eye, Fever, but even if its perfect, its not Painkiller type perfect lol) 1. Painkiller (1-10 + bonus track... PERFECT... Even instrumental Battle Hymn is incredible)

Point of entry is underrated and a much better album than Rocka Rolla and Jugulator imo and your least favourite song on that album Don’t Go is my favourite. Most memorable chorus on the album. It also has Heading out to the highway, Hot Rockin, Desert plains, Turning Circles, Solar Angels, All The way and On The Run just to name 7 more, these are all really good to great songs so why is it ranked second bottom? it’s a mid Judas Priest album and don’t get me started on Nostradamus. Oh and British Steel isn’t my favourite but it’s definitely too low here. It even looks wrong. It’s a classic. I’d swap it with Angel of retribution which is just a mid Judas Priest album at best. As I always say though. Each to their own
@TheMetalJunkie2 ай бұрын
I do enjoy the chorus on don't go but the verse drags for me. Point of Entry is still good it's just up against Judas Priest's discography lol like you said it's subjective. Thanks for watching

We are very close in ranking - Priest fan since late 80’s. I would put Sin after Sin into masterpiece (due to the fusion drumming of Simon Phillips!..won’t see that again)! I don’t like Richie Faulkners playing, & think the last album is cookie cutter metal..let alone masterpiece?!!

My rating of their discography, coming from a 19 year old with some bias towards their newer stuff solely because I got to experience their releases. I also slightly lean towards heavier songs. (I also did this before watching the video to avoid influence) 19. Rocca Rolla: A bit slow and weird. Has some catchy songs and not a bad album, some killer riffs. 18. Demolition: Heavy, but kinda boring. A good album if it wasn’t Priest. 17. Nostradamus: Your play through was the first time I’ve listened to the whole album and I have got to admit there were 4 great songs, the rest… well, ehh. Visions, Nostradamus, Alone, and Future of Mankind are awesome songs that stand above the rest. If I want to listen to this album in the FUTURE, I’ll just play these four songs and call it a day. 16. Hell Bent for Leather: I love Burnin’ Up and Delivering the Goods but the rest of the album seems either weak or overplayed. 15. Sin After Sin: Has some absolute classics on it but the rest of the album isn’t as good. More amazing riffs. 14. Juggulator: THIS ALBUM KICKS ASS! To beat out some of their classics without Rob is super impressive. PS: I’m seeing KK’s Priest in October and I can’t wait. 13. Redeemer of Souls: Sword of Damocles, Halls of Valhalla, and Dragonaut are masterpieces omg. The rest of the album is good… the 5 bonus tracks too! 12. Turbo: This album isn’t as bad as everyone makes it out to be. I can’t get enough of Out in the Cold. 11. Ram it Down: A transition between the “hair” sound of Turbo and the Thrashiness of Painkiller. Fun to listen to once in a while. 10. Point of Entry: The perfect road trip album, nothing more to say. 9. Sad Wings of Destiny: Classic. Rob in his Vocal Prime, hit some of his best notes on this album. 8. Invincible Shield: This album is really good, beating out some amazing records. I was hoping it would be as good as Firepower, but oh well. Shoutout to The Lodger. 7. Angel of Retribution: Lochness was Priest’s take on a long, Iron Maiden-like, song, breathtaking; Hellrider is all out power; and Angel is so utterly beautiful that my dad asked me to play it at his funeral when he passes. 6. Stained Class: Not enough people talk about this album. I think it’s one of the best albums of the 70s. 5. British Steel: Basically tied with Stained, they’re both perfect. I think The Rage just makes it slightly better. Some songs on this record are way overplayed (I think we all know which ones). 4. Firepower: This album blew me away. One of the best albums they’ve ever made almost 50 years into their career. I keep saying it is the best album made since Iron Maiden’s Brave New World (2000). 3. Screaming for Vengeance: Such a good album omg. It’s not #2 because I got burned out from its hits. 2. Defenders of the Faith: Just slightly beats out its predecessor. Not really a fan of the title “track” though. 1. Painkiller: Perfection. Every song on this album is a masterpiece. Any song on this album could be the best song on a large chunk of these albums. Man that was tough… Sorry you had to read all this🙃 understandable if you didn’t 😂

The Priest was my favorite band in my teenage years (late 70's - early 80's) and your rankings are WRONG! (LOLOLOL). So for me, the 70's albums are all top-tier to me. Then, after Screaming for Vengeance they started getting a little too polished or over-produced. Then Painkiller was a reset from that era - which is a milestone album for them. Nostradamus is a mixed bag for me. Definitely an artistic masterpiece, but I am not a big fan of almost 50% of the songs. Their last couple of albums are amazing too - you can really tell that Ritchie has found his spot in the band. Overall, the worst of the worst only drops to "Just Okay" for me.
