Australian Open is usually the best tournament of the year quality-wise, French Open the most epic one and Wimbledon simply the classiest one. US Open sometimes delivers great matches throughout the tournament (like in 2022 for example), but not this year for me. I agree with you about Miami, it simply doesn't feel that exciting since they moved it to Hard Rock (which creates zero atmosphere imo) and also because it's 2 weeks.

Because hard is most competitive and ao is on the start of season so players aren’t tired. This is why us open is usually most unexpected because this is easiest grand slam to win for dark horse. It was always least dominant tour by big 3

Generally, it wasn't most enjoyable season imo. Only tournament I actually enjoyed was Olympic. Djokovic vs Nadal match, Djokovic vs Tsitsipas where Novak injured his leg but again managed to win, Musseti winning bronze medal and outstanding final was just epic. Rest of the tour was quite boring because Sinner was so dominant, Djokovic played bad and was injured and Nadal played tragiclly.

I think Madrid should be at or near the bottom of the list and it's all because of the 2-week format. Yes Nadal's run was very fun and there were some other great matches but from 2-4 may (the 3 days before the final) the tournament was like this: 2 may: quarterfinals - FAA wins via walkover and Meddy retires after 1 set 3 may: semifinals - Rublev wins uneventful match against Fritz and Lehecka retires after 6 games 4 may: no matches When you have a big tournament like this and it's 3 days of basically nothing interesting happening it completely sucks the life out of the tournament to me, even it was good before that.

I find night sessions at RG a total turnoff, it doesn't fit the tournament because it's a natural surface. They have really long daylight and should just handle it with a curfew like Wimbledon

It's hard making those kinds if rankings because it really depends on what matches we watched. I don't really have an opinion on your rakning but I can at least confirm that this year's Atp Finals was very boring. But anyway I just wanted to tell you that my favorite match this year was surprisingly Dimitrov-Alcaraz in Miami. Grigor played out of his mind hitting hot shots after hot shots and Alcaraz wasn't playing bad at all too. So yeah you at least missed that match by not watching the whole tournamemt haha

I agree with your top 3 though I'd put Olympics at the top, not only for the matches, but for the legacy that this Olympics holds of the GOAT finally winning gold. Also another Rafole match was cool to see. Cincy was definitely up there as well, even with your biases aside, it was an exciting tournament. I think we also have to acknowledge that the Olympics affected Canada's low ranking this year, although it wasn't great last year either.

I agree with everything other than the fact Miami was one of the best masters this year 😢 and Paris was an absolute snoozefest at times because the courts were ridiculously fast and the points were shorter and simpler because of it🙏also Monte Carlo was boring because tsitsipas is becoming as much of a Monte Carlo merchant as Nadal so there were no upsets just straight madness on the court 💀
