So nostalgic! I loved watching this video and being taken back to some great childhood memories. I hope Western Land eventually makes it to the Switch Mario Party. That was my second favorite board with Horror Land also taking the cake for me. 😊

This list was really good! I remember loving the bob omb canyon one as a kid who played only against ai, then learned how annoying it can be with friends, all bringing each other back to the fly guy.

About Bowser's Magma Mountain's dice roll game... the rolls you get are actually _PRE-DETERMINED._

Everything in mario party 1 is pre determined. From the dice rolls to the bowser and chance time roulletes to what the cpus choose to do in minigames everything is pre determined.

As someone who has tasted alligator before (Don't ask), it does taste like chicken. I don't know how close yoshi tastes to that, but I assume you are correct.

I think that eternal star is a unique board and it my favorite board out of the Mario Party N64 Trilogy

The warps in Eternal Star are not random at all, they follow one of 3 preset mappings. The fact that you can lose a star while trying to get one is the only glaring flaw of that board imo. I'd still say it's better than half the boards in MP1 personally. Unpopular opinion: Eternal Star's music is even better than Mario's Rainbow Castle's. Possibly my favourite song in the series.

nice list dude! i agree with alot of placements here, but 1 thing i personally disagree with is mystery land. 20 turns doesn’t do it justice; to enjoy mystery land i’d recommend 35 turns; that’s where it truly shines despite it being the weakest mp2 board.

I personally like Western land! Only downside is I usually play Mario party 3 specifically because of it having Daisy in it. So I don’t play much as 2

I see a lot of people put Mario's Rainbow Castle at the bottom tier because they say its so boring, but I'm glad to see someone else put it so high up. It's like playing Mario Party in low stress mode. The music is so peaceful, when I was a kid, I would turn this level on my tv, put a thick quilt over the tv, and sleep to the music. I also agree with Horrorland at number 1, but that's not even an opinion, it's just objectively the best lol. It was so good, the entirety of Mario Party 6 was themed around the same day night concept, and Mario Party 6 is also among the best Mario Party games.

What? Do you actually liked Waluigi Island, that map is so full of traps that is insufferable, hell even CPU struggle into get away and the only thing u'll see is that damm center

20: Yoshi's tropical island. Neat mechanic but the island imbalance of the right island having boo and left having nothing ruins it. 19: Wario's battle canyon. For reasons said in the video. 18: Mario's rainbow castle. Enjoyable for what it is and well designed but very simple and I just never want to play it. 17: Woody woods. I literally forgot about it and this was typed in post. Nice gimmick but I just never enjoy it sadly. 16: Peaches birthday cake. Luck based but still very fun only low due to other boards being strategic as well as fun. 15: Eternal star. Crazy fun idea but not perfect execution. Check out Starlite pony's guide if you want to learn the warp patterns. 14: Dk's jungle adventure. Good layout but the straight with bowser is questionable. Nice whomps though. 13: Horror land. Genius day-night system that wasn't used to its full potential. Big boo is an amazing idea but other than him there isn't alot going for it aside from a great layout. 12: Creepy cavern. Good layout and a great minecart mechanic but I feel this board was robbed of a better action time event that could have added to it. 11: Pirate land. A little too many luck based events but the thwomps are used well and the design is good. 10: Luigi's engine room. The gate switching idea is better for me than the signs in woody woods. Strategic plays are also plentiful. 9: Waluigi's island. Fun for being crazy but it boils down to loads of linear paths. 8: Deep bloober sea. Not much bad to say. A lot of good ideas put into a well designed "2 halfs board" 7: Bowser's magma mountain. A linear board with a moving star works well with the genius betting bridges. A board the king should be proud to call his first. 6: Space land. The great threat of the coin beam and multitude of paths make this one special. 5: Western land. Simple overall but the train and hootenany events work brilliantly with the boards size. 4: Spiny desert. The mirage star gets everyone split up, the sinkholes bring 'em back together and the cacti get you thinking. 3: Chilly waters. The lake event is scary and the snowballs help you get around. Simple but effective. 2: Mystery land. The most underated board in the franchise. Each island has something of value and a way to access the others, the curse houses are fantastic and the bowser bomb is PURE EVIL here. I will never understand the haters. 1: Bowser land. My GOD if this isn't the greatest board ever I don't know what is! The pipes ruin plans, the parade ruins friendships, the blooper wheel is a risky play to stay safe, all with the banks pumping money left and right, change after change to the parde path, the bowser suit getting 3 unique buffs, Trying to run, trying to hide but it's no use! The parade destroying you, only for you to bounce back with bank money, crushing your opponents OH MY GOD IT'S SO GOOD Please tell me why I'm wrong in the replies. I hope to start a war!

​@@GlitchanBlackAll the times that I have played Pirate Land, I felt like the game intentionally cheeses the Dice Block so you land on those god-forsaken happening spaces. I would personally rank Pirate Land higher if it was't for the fact that the Happening Spaces fuck over everyone on the bridges.

The mario party games are actually programed to make sure that happening spaces get landed on at least once in a while. This can be used strategically since the more time the game goes without someone landing on a happening the higher the chance is that someone will.
