Ash Williams Army of darkness have equivalents of Ghost Rider Iron Man Thor Hercules Captain America Hulk and dr strange from other dimensions, Ash or Guts / Gatsu (berserk) have the Amadura godkiller or irongod or Titanuim Man, Psylocke makes love with Ash

@ as a movie? Probably B tier, the third act is great. Idk it feels sloppy throughout most of it. Not a fan of fat Thor. I also would have enjoyed a scene with just the OG 6 avengers together. We kinda got that after black widow died though. She definitely deserved to be at the end fight too

Despite the appeal that the main posters have, I find that most don’t live up to how simple and breathtaking some of the teaser previews look. Like how the Avengers ones are just the “A”, or having Ant-Man so small and nothing else taking up space on the poster besides the title.

My ranking; The Avengers - Badass seeing all the heroes in the middle of the Battle for New York. Ripped right from the film Guardians of the Galaxy - What a fun poster. It reminds me of Star Wars mixed with Marvel fun. I love the bright colour pallets. The Incredible Hulk - does a great job expressing the theme of the movie, like Bruce and Hulk’s battle for control Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - I love the reflection thing they did, it really worked as the villains were coming from the sea. The absence of T’Challa is felt, but it seems like such an homage to him that I love it. Also the logo is chefs kiss 😘 Avengers: Infinity War - Excellent colours, brilliant placement of characters via their importance to the story and some truly amazing villain prominence - Thanos owned this movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - Beautiful colours and feels like the end of an era Avengers: Endgame - The purple theming was fantastic and it looks ripped from 1980 action movie posters. Love the prominence and placements of Steve and Tony, representing their climatic arcs Thor: Ragnarok - Fun, bright and all the main story points are included Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 - I get your complaints, but I love the colour of it. It’s so bright. Doctor Strange - A cool poster with lots of colour and symmetry Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Has all the main characters included as well as uses a direct scene from the film with the falling Hellicarriers. Says a lot about the story, without giving anything away Captain America: The First Avenger - Looks very cool and WWII-inspired, so I like it Captain America: Civil War - The simplicity of the two sides facing off was fantastic, and encouraged audiences to choose a side. Excellent marketing. It’s just very grey Deadpool & Wolverine - The colours seem to emirate off the screen and it perfectly depicts the movie - Deadpool and Wolverine do fight a bloody lot in this film Thunderbolts - Upon first glance it looks like floating heads, but they are attached to bodies upon closer inspection, and it looks like they’re fighting each other, in a playful way. It looks fun Avengers: Age of Ultron - I love the red logo and the way the poster feels overwhelming with the Ultron bots. It teases the films finale. It’s just too grey Black Panther - I love this poster for its colours Black Widow - I love the white and red contrast. Sooooo cool Ant-Man and the Wasp - Very slick and fits in line with what this movie is. Colourful, fun and small Captain America: Brave New World - Looks like an action spy thriller and I am intrigued. It’s a shame the movie doesn’t look overly great. But we’ll see Thor: Love and Thunder - What a fun poster, even though the film itself was all but. Gorr looks terrifying in the background and Hemsworth looks HUGEEEE The Marvels - Another 1980s inspired piece. I love the colours and the way it looks hand drawn Captain Marvel - She looks powerful here and the colours pop nicely Thor - Floating heads, yes, but seeing the floor break away is badass Iron Man 3 - Floating heads again, but at least the coloring is better than the first two Iron Man - Floating heads, but at least it’s got some grit to it. The Tony / Iron Man being back to back was cool too Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness - I love Scarlet Witch being front and centre and Doctor Strange looks very true to his character Eternals - It’s pretty to look at, but seeing as I didn’t watch the movie, that’s all I know about it Iron Man 2 - Another floating heads poster Thor: The Dark World - The worst case of floating heads yet, it also is just so bleak and grey Spider-Man: No Way Home - I don’t know why, but these MCU Spidey posters don’t do it for me. This one does have the most story accurate depictions though Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania - A lot of floating heads, but it clearly takes place in the Quantum-Realm and for that I give it points as the film takes place there Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - Boring, grey and bland. The film was amazing. I am shocked the poster didn’t lean into it Ant-Man - Why is a film that is so fun, have such a bleak poster that doesn’t tonally fit the film at all! Their teaser posters were much better. Spider-Man: Homecoming - What a mess. Floating heads, and just too much going on. Looks like a 3 year old made it. Spider-Man: Far From Home - Wrong characters and honestly with a villain like Mysterio - this is all they could come up with?

If I had to pick a favourite poster for the mcu, I’d say iron man. I love how the suit takes up half the poster making it clear what the focus of the movie is about but I also appreciate the small amount of actors on the poster. My other favourite would be the avengers poster for the first movie. My favourite superhero movie poster isn’t even mcu though, that would go to x-men days of future pasts theatrical poster with wolverine front and centre and all the yellow colour for the background.
