Hey all, last video in this tier list. Been a great journey but I'm not done with Guild Wars yet! I got some ideas and you'll see the next gw video the next after next.

I'll offer some thoughts on some select Mesmer elites (PvE use): ~04:10 Crippling Anguish (B-Tier): Bar compression for heavy degen and snare that mostly shines vs. smaller mobs. Always at least solid vs. no/lite hex relief. ~09:59 Energy Drain (A-Tier): Always solid if no other elite is needed, but it really shines in an energy intensive build (e.g. wastrel's). ~10:57 Energy Surge (S+ Tier): Always good vs. mid to large sized mobs. Too good really. ~12:42 Extend Conditions (S-Tier): Great on a condition focused team on which Mesmers generally have less utility. Spreads and extends usually short duration conditions like burning and dazed. ~23:45 Migraine (D-Tier): The anti-caster version of Crippling Anguish for twice the energy, but I use far less often. ~24:34 Panic (S+ Tier): Defensive skill, but it's very powerful at the start of a battle. ~30:33 Psychic Instability (A-Tier): 12 pts in Fast Casting for 4s aoe knockdown on a Domination or Illusion Mesmer. ~32:32 Recuring Insecurity (B-Tier): I like degen strategies more than most. Energy intensive and needs other hexes from the team for max benefit. ~33:32 Shared Burden (S+ Tier): Great bar compression that can ~half enemy damage potential.

Hitting on some more: Fast Casting.... Arcane Languor (F-Tier): Energy denial not helpful in PvE. Single target. Keystone Signet (E-Tier): Damage doesn't affect target and only adjacent. More of a "fun to use" for something different. Mantra of Recovery (C-Tier): Recharge is ~duration, so somewhat energy intensive given its use to cast (e.g.) Backfire more often. Stolen Speed (F-Tier): Though this is in Fast Casting (so available for a Domination Mesmer), Shared Burden far better. Symbols of Inspiration (F-Tier): Too gimmicky for hero use.

Hitting on some more: Domination.... Enchanter's Conundrum (F-Tier): Hexes not always effective, only adjacent aoe, slower enchantment casting of possible niche use. Hex Eater Vortex (D-Tier): Does less damage and has longer recharge than Shatter Hex. Use limited to vs. hexes and heavy enchantments. Power Block (C-Tier): Only best used to shut down a single caster in a smaller mob. Power Flux (F-Tier): 10e, 10s recharge interrupt. Energy denial not effective in PvE. Psychic Distraction (F-Tier): Very energy intensive shutdown interrupt. Perhaps if only your spells are disabled (i.e. signets still available). Simple Thievery (F-Tier): Too niche for PvE. Visions of Regret (E-Tier): If I'm using a hex strategy, I will have other Mesmer hexes in play. Only adjacent aoe.

Been playing on and off since launch Love this game so much And how I don’t need to farm new items every expansion/update What really got me was the WvW Didn’t know you made gw2 content cuz I only started getting your videos recommended on Monster Hunter Wilds hype train

@CB-lg1pk This is actually guild wars 1! But yes, I also played gw2 a lot in the day. I do content on many different things. Not just MH. It ain't a MH channel. It's just people watching my MH stuff

Strongly disagree on Enchanters Conundrum here. Compare it to Energy Surge: ES costs 5 Energy less and has the bigger AoE effect, but EC does a bit more damage and has 5 seconds lower cooldown, PLUS you get the increased cast time for enemies (but not really important, tbh). Often enough the AoE Range wont have a big effect, often enough it will. But especially as a player, you usually can place it well enough that you will hit the relevant foes anyways. Enemies also rarely ever have enchantments on them, so thats not too big of a downside. What is a downside is the Energy cost, which does make you very reliant on BiP. One upside that would probably often be overlooked is - only for players - the great synergy with Cry of Pain, as EC is a Hex, while ESurge is not. So when you use ESurge, you would also have to bring a hex like Mind Wrack to use Cry of Pain, which means extra energy and extra casting time, while with EC you can start the fight with EC->Cry of Pain, which is really sexy. Oftentimes I chose EC over ESurge as Mesmer Player for the lower cooldown and the Cry of Pain Synergy, because its that good. Now, for Heroes its a lot less good, as they cant target as well and dont have Cry of Pain, but at least for Players I'd argue EC is just as good as ESurge, which puts the skill to A or S Tier in my book

I don't play Mesmer enough to know all the ins and outs. But You're right EC maybe stronger than I give it credit for. Maybe it should of been in A at least with the AoE damage. Although it's adjacent and they have to not have an enchantment. So B would be good overall. Thanks for your input, it's good to see.
