I personally like Zabaz way more than most of the other legends in the set for the most part and I don't even care about the modular stuff. I love new ways of making artifact aristocrats and if it was Jeskai it would be better because Emry and other blue artifact related cards would be allowed in the deck.

I like how Aeve, progenitor ooze tokens come into play. The first one is like *bloop* small as a basketball, no +1/+1 counters on it. I think the power of Carth was Underrated in my opinion. Lowering the cost of abilies can be devestating think things like Ghorruck being able to insta Ult giving you the +3/+3 trample token or Even 6 cost Vraska becomes a must answer threat with him out ups for 3 cost 8 to ult for Insta death token.

Started watching the episode and wondering the whole time how much crap you were gonna give my girl Sythis. Much to my sheer lack of surprise your response was similar to my own after first seeing her, "She does a thing. She does her thing very fast and very well. While she is fun at parties she is also the kind of lady one might take home to meet the parents." I haven't been playing a lot so I haven't gotten many cards recently, but I had some money left after rent and bought a MH2 box and there in one of the packs was Piru, but in another pack I saw Sythis, immediately fell in love her, and began building an EDH deck with her name on it. Enchantments, creatures that care about enchantments, enchantments that care about enchantments, other things that care about things caring about enchantments, you know, a massive singleton enchantress bonanza with Sythis at the helm. Now the play testing begins.

I built Grist, such a fun deck. Just chock full of bugs to make early board, trying to pump them and push damage finishing with ult. I love how well the Gravepurge effects synergise with it, too.

I think you guys underrated Ragavan. I've played against that deck a few times and it gets stupid so fast. It's basically a guarantee for the first 1-3 turns you are going to be ahead on mana. It just snowballs so quickly!

Coolness seems like such a vague and subjective factor. I think it would be better to have a flavor score, based off clear things like lore, flavor text, previous appearances, references, etc.

Then you can add extra points if they're good or excellent. For example : for Asmo, the lore is super detailed (theres a whole story), 3 pts, flavor text is good and really funny, 3 pts, never appeared before 0 pts, has a reference in a classic card and fits the description, 2 pts, thats an 8/10.

I’m surprised that chatterfang is not number one mh2 commander since it wins faster than the others. I don’t think you can win on turn 3 with the ones you guys picked after him. I’d look him up more because there are several combos that other token commanders can’t. You can make an aristocrats combo deck with a go wide sub theme.

I think you’re sleeping on Carth a little bit. If he’s on the field, there’s a _lot_ of walkers who come down, plus, and then your opponents *must* address then or else you just ult them and get some big dumb emblem. Also, one of the Garruks is an instant permanent overrun.

Holy crap, but seeing Grandmother Sengir just made me realize something profound: Yavimaya being printed probably makes Veldrane solidly better than Grandmother, because you can make everything be a forest, which Veldrane gets landwalk vs. He's still dog poo, but that is some secret tech IMHO. You might need to move him up in the rankings.

I feel like Smallta (Thrasta) badly needed 'cannot be countered' for Commander, but that'd be pushing things in Modern I suspect. As is, it feels like this was designed with Modern in mind (for once) and not Commander, because there are many better mono-Green beatstick Commanders out there.

So there are four outcomes: Win-win Win-lose Lose-win Lose-lose 3 of those result in you winning, so your odds of winning a flip with Thumb are 3/4. Another way of checking your math is to look at the fact that you have a 1/2 chance to lose the first flip, and a 1/2 chance of losing the second. 1/2 * 1/2 is 1/4, meaning you have a 1/4 chance to lose and a 3/4 chance to win any single coin flip event.

I looked into why the dash mechanic doesn't avoid commander cost and its the same issue as with Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar. Its because in the text its described as a casting cost. Casting costs are tied into commander tax, where as if it says something like pay X and put your commander into play would actually bypass the commander tax. Its silly word salad ruling, but those are the rules.
