I'm not a Padre fan but if you watched this year's playoffs, you could see that the Padres were probably the 2nd best team in the league. They had a REAL shot at beating the Dodgers, and pretty much went toe to toe, pitch for pitch, bat for bat, against the team you put heads and shoulders above everyone else. So how are they not at least on par with the Yankees？

Soto doesn't necessarily make the Mets "ELITE". Ask the Padres in 2023 when they didn't even make the wildcard and the Yankees this past season when they blew a 5-0 lead and lost the WS in Game 5 on their homefield 😂 Dodgers beat BOTH those teams that were way more stacked 1-9 than your Mets as they stand right now. Not to mention they got even better this off-season with all their arms coming back. The acquisition of Snell, bringing back Teo, Treinen, Tommy Edman extension, added versatility depth in KBO star Hye-Seong Kim, and they're not done spending. Good luck lol

Yankees are good but they have a bunch of question marks around them, primarily with injury. Bellinger, Judge, Fried, Rodon, Clarke Schmidt, and Stroman are all susceptible to injury. Hopefully Devin Williams doesn't get injured again and pitches well. If anything they'll probably do their usual Yankee thing where they have a fantastic first 2-3 months and coast off that.

Some people are questioning trading Naylor and some other good players but they don’t realize Naylor had ample time to lose weight and he refuses I kinda want people to keep sleeping on Cleveland because they seem to do better recently when people don’t expect their season to be good. All last season nobody took the Tribe seriously until it was too late and even when they had their early hot streak people (even Some Cleveland fans) were quick to assume “They were in over their heads and they’ll be in realty at .500 by the All Star Break”. I think they’ll be fine, now if they reach the ALCS again, only time will tell on that

I understand why the Cardinals are going with youth and ereduced payroll given they are not going far anyway, but hope they only trade Arenado if they can get a minor league pitcher on par with Mc Greevey who did really well at the end of the season. A problem though is they still have Mikolas and Matz making big money of the staff for one more year. These two have little value so the Cards appear to be stuck with them. Despite great attendnace we are being told St. Louis has a small TV market all why Stan Kroenke moved the Rams back to L.A.. despite a new stadium and a lwasuit that settled out of court.

The Yankees won the AL with 94 wins in 2024. Like most years there are always 4 or 5 teams in mlb that have a great 1st half and then fall apart in the second half. Yankees, Balt, Rangers etc...
