Lakers were beating the nuggets the entire series except for in the 4th quarters. They showed some flashes of being a top 4-5 team in the west. They brought back almost all the same guys under jj Reddick and a stacked coaching staff now to guide him. Rui and Dlo showed flashes last year too, hopefully carries over. They added knecht who will help with scoring off the bench + Austin reeves will hopefully continue to improve after what was already a very strong year. That's all not even mentioning ad and lebron who Even older will still provide a lot. I think they'll be top 5 next year.

I understand that Jokic is incredible and the Murray pairing is probably the best in the league, but you cannot underestimate how much of a loss KCP is to the team. They are pushing Christian Braun into the starting line-up and expect him to fit seamlessly and shoot and defend well enough to replace KCP. Their bench is atrocious. They don't shoot that many 3s and their starters will have to play a lot of minutes to contend. I think they have regressed a lot.

As a Nets fan, I've never felt happiness in my life to be able to be bad, and say what you want about Sean Marks he has a damn good eye for talent in the draft with the few late picks he's even had. Cam Thomas, Claxton, Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Jalen Wilson and Clowney have shown some promise, Dariq is a complete idk, he's barely gotten run time cause of injury, and he's struggling in Summer league so tbd if he's bad cause coming off injury or if he just isn't gonna make it in the league. Imagine what he can do with picks better than the 20th pick lol, and being able to take more upside swings since you have 16frps until 2031, with vets still to trade. There was years we didnt even have picks so to find that many people in the draft in a seven year span, when always picking in the lower 20s and second round, is honestly pretty impressive (i mean that team would be ass, but usually teams picking that low for 7 years are because theyre a perrenial playoff team already who already have a star, or stars, to put those pieces around.

Very knowledgeable my man … I would say I have some disagreements - Phoenix always implodes despite their talent, the Lakers always seem to be fighting for playin position despite Bron and AD. And disrespect to Cleveland … you say that you expect them to be a 3-4 seed but place them in Tier 3 doesn’t make sense to me. And no way Embid is staying healthy this year. Philly should be knocked down a spot.

I tend to agree with most of the comments here which say you overreacting the Lakers. I think you make a lot of sense when talking about every team, except the Lakers. You even hesitated & had a real good comment when you spoke about LBJ & AD being a lil worn out from playing in the Olympics this summer. Surely this will hurt them, as they'll need "games missed for rest" during the season. The West too stacked for the Lakers to be any more than a Play-In team, at best.

Honestly, I think the sixers should be tier 1 with the Celtics, the completely revamped the roster with better talent, and Paul George compliments maxey, and Embidd pretty good, Jared McCain is also a amazing pick for the sixers, the knicks should probably be up there aswell, I don’t see any other team in the east win over 50+ games besides the Celtics, sixers, knicks, and maybe the pacers

Kristaps was easily the celtics 2nd best regular season player, top 5 most dominant interior scorers last year incredibly efficient and is the sole reason 87 year old al horford from starting all year, mad disrespect to say either of the guards were more important to them last year, playoffs are a different story cause he wasnt healthy but he’s absolutely a top 2 player on the team when healthy

Why would Gary Trent sign a minimum.. when he’s only 25 and averaged 13.7ppg and can play defense. pope is 31 averaged less (10.1ppg) while playing more minutes.. and got basically 22 mil per year. Gary is worth at least the same contract. As a 25 year old who’s averaged 18 ppg and 17 ppg. Has averaged 15 ppg four times in his career. Pope has never averaged 15 ppg.

They beat them in 7 and the magic just added one of the best role players in the league. They are also younger so they should realistically have more natural improvement. They also improved their spacing (which was their biggest problem last season)with guys like KCP and Tristan da Silva so putting the magic above the cavs isn't really a hot take imo.
