I'm a UT fan and I like this version of the smokey greys. The coolest part to me is the tri-star patch and the 3 stars on the back of the helmet and down the pant legs. That comes from the state flag, so pretty cool state reference there. The metallic grey helmet is nice too.

As an Alabama fan I wish we would come out with just one alternate jersey. Like an all white with houndstooth numbering, or something. But I also like that we keep it traditional. My second team Memphis always has nice threads, hopefully they come out with some new unis soon, even tho they have like 50 already 😂

it’s likely now with saban gone and Deboer in at HC he could possibly influence a new uniform choice and that’s what has me hopeful. i also think a color rush all red would be sweet like the chiefs for example.

this actually happened under Saban.... alabama rocked a nike pro combat in 2010 with faint houndstooth numbers. it's not a good look in general imo. bama shouldn't push out alternates it cheapens the brand. thinking of similar comparisons none of the oklahoma or ohio state alternates do it for me. I have yet to see an alternate at a traditional school that is a step above their traditional uniforms.

The Tennessee uniform is state themed. The tri-star on the shoulders are straight from the state flag. The three stars are also used on the pants and are in the same alignment as they are on the flag (no star is at a 90 degree angle, state flag code dictates so). The stars are also on the helmet, and the helmet has the off-balance orange and white stripes to match the stripes on the end of the flag. It’s also the first Tennessee jersey to have “Tennessee” printed on the front.

The Tennessee jersey is a nod the tri star design on the state flag. They’re called the Smokey greys hence the Smokey mountains in the helmets. Again it’s tri star so the three stars on the helmet also represent that. It’s a mixed reaction from the fans bc some just like the traditional jerseys

My only problem with the Black Generation O uniform is the fact we had to place the Big10 where it is. Looks pretty awkwardd, id perfee if we could have had that either in the center of the V or on the sides of the shoulders. But from what I understand it's required to be in that specific spot.

I like clean classic looking uniforms. The more you have on a uniform the more tacky they are. I'm glad VT went back to the 1999 style uniform. Although, they do have the white striped away helmets. Cool thing about these uniforms is the letterman had a say in the design.

yknow for how simple in contrast with other Shamrock Series uniforms (2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, etc.) the 24’ ones are, i’m kind of shocked at how polarizing they are. I personally really like them but i’ve seen SO many people dislike them. they’re a 3 true outcomes hitter, you either think they’re the best uni in school history, the worst uniform in school history, or the exact middle.

So many thing wrong about Oregon and Oregon St.. 1. The “old duck” was released in the 2010s and the “Modern O” was released in the last 90s… so you got that backwards. 2. Nobody, not even beaver fans, like this beaver logo over the old ones they have. We call them the nutrias or naked mole rats for a reason.

The Smokey Grey TENNESSEE VOLS uniform is based off the Tennessee state flag. That why they have the tri-star patches on each sleeve, the skinny white stripe on the helmet, the 3 stars on the back of the helmet and 3 stars on the orange stripe with another skinny white stripe down the legs. Also, the put the shape of the state with the circle in the middle with the tri-srars on the top right front of the pants, where the “POWER T” belongs. Then they felt the need to put TENNESSEE across the chest right below in that horrible font we’re slowly phasing out in each sport. Baseball won’t have that font on their uniforms this upcoming season as we set out to defend our regular season and Tournament Champions, host another Regional & Super Regional, then defend our CWS National Championship. Sorry I got off topic. Thought I’d mention a couple good things UT has done lately, because those uniforms are hideous. WAY TOO BUSY & OVER THE TOP. I hate every single Smokey Grey and Black uniforms the VOLS, and that Orange helmet that makes my alma mater look like Clemson on the field in those things. Stick to the basics. White helmet only. Home jersey always should be ORANGE, Away jersey should ALWAYS be WHITE, and Orange worn in about have our away games and 1-2 a year home (preferably the Orange pants with the Orange jersey and white helmet should only be worn on the Homecoming game. Lastly, we wear white cleats with an orange Nike Swoosh only. No back anything. No “Smokey Grey” anything, no orange cleats, and definitely no Orange helmet. We’re UT! We should only have 4 uniform combinations! Orange jersey & White jersey, Orange pants & White pants, 1 White helmet with a solid orange stripe and a “Power T” on each side, and white cleats with an orange Nike Swoosh. Auction off all that other shit and use the money from the auction for a charity in Tennessee, like possibly St. Jude Children’s Hospital. That’s a massive win for everyone.
