We've got another TIER LIST and this time, we're ranking NHL mascots! We saw your comments and while Corwin ranked the mascots on ferocity, there were a lot of other factors that went into ranking the mascots in hockey.

Here’s a backstory on why Carolina’s mascot is a pig/hog. The site the arena was constructed on was once a pig farm and a large investor in the arena was a gazilionaire pig farmer. North Carolina is also the second largest state in terms of hogs only behind Iowa. North Carolina is also famous for its Barbecue which is pork based. In addition to this, just a year prior to the whalers relocating in NC, Hurricane Fran hit North Carolina very hard and when you turned on the TV, you would see pig carcasses floating in the water everywhere. The original Stormy looked much more like a pig and was more fierce but many children and parents said he was “too scary” and the head was simply too large with little sight allowed. Overtime, they reshaped the head and made him look more friendly
