I really really wish the coneheads and bucketheads kept their beta designs. being a construction worker and painter respectively. it actually gives a reason as to why the buckethead has red on the titular bucket. Making them be the basic zombie with an item on them kinda gives a better idea that they are indeed tankier, and the simple change in design may be subtley appealing like you said with the conehead for its respective entry. But I still really wish it was more than just slapping an item on their head regardless.

Probably my favorite thing about this game is that every single zombie and plant has their own little backstory, some of which imply a lot of weird things. For example: Ducky Tube Zombie is part of a very select few zombies that can 'handle' the Ducky Tube.

Fun Fact, the snorkel zombies can be hit while submerged by the lobber-type plants, such as the Melon-pult. Just put a couple of those in the back and you're covered. Sure, you don't unlock those until after the pool levels, but on 2nd playthrough they're great.

Zombies in PvZ 1 have a hitbox that causes them to eat in front of them when they are in between two plants, and in PvZ 2, they used to have a hitbox where they would eat behind them in the same exact situation. This was changed in a version, I just don’t know which.
