This show epitomizes the shallow football analysis we often see on Sky Sports, One example - Spurs. In a massive rebuild, they sell or loan 9 or 10 first team players who do not fit Ange's system including Ndombele, Royal, Gil, Hojbjerg, Lo Celso, Rodon, Skipp, Sessegnon, Tanganga, Solomon. Some good loans for their excellent academy talent, Bringing in superb young talent in Archie Gray, Lucas Bergwall and Wilson Odobert. And bringing in their top target, Solamke. And these zeros give them a D grade.

They've sold extremely well (25m for Carvalho and 25m for Van Den Berg is highway robbery) and they bought Chiesa for WAY less than he's actually worth, also secured a long term replacement for Alisson with one of the best young keepers in the world. Second half of the season is gonna be a massive struggle, and Slot will be getting the blame. For Man Utd, IMO, the real success in the transfer window came outside the signings (even though they were still fantastic) & the outgoings. Their window truly shone in the way it was handled: no sagas, no caving in to obscene demands, no ridiculous wages, targeting players in positions of despair only, securing personal terms as soon as possible so deals could get done swiftly, keeping options open & moving on from unfeasible deals (Todibo & Branthwaite) etc. They actually seemed to have an actual plan & structure for the players they wanted. All of this while being very restricted & threatened by PSR. Other club's fans may look at me & think I'm ridiculous for celebrating the bare minimum, but this bare minimum is miles ahead of whatever Glazer disaster we've been in. Being able to not stress about any single transfer & just watch the deadline day as casual bystanders was incredibly satisfying for me. as a liverpool fan i know from experience that there’s nothing worse than an angry sterling, for a few years he was always city’s best player against us, us booing him at anfield made him a different beast regardless of if he lost or not.
