i rode thru saint denis after selling to the butcher, i got sniped once, alright... again after trying to get my horse... cool ig. 3rd time in the swamp, just spawning... why?? 4th time , spawn again in the swamp...*messages* “chill bud.” i was called racial slurs, stalked and harassed from different accounts for a week😊. reported him to rockstar and microsoft. nothing happened and, i’m pretty sure he’s still running around.

@@itsjustdubz Fair enough, but I think the wish has to do with hunting for "Trader". Animal spawns still suck unless you find a lobby with less than 15-16. Really hard to run "Trader" if you are limping in with a couple of crows or even turkeys and a squirrel skin. I'll live with full lobby deliveries if they let me hunt.

I favorite part about the moonshine role is the bootlegger mission where you go to a bar and have a fight, i honestly wanna see a wrestling/boxing role in rdr, and having charles as the guy who helps u and the higher ur level of this role, the more skills u get to learn like maybe new fighting abilities and etc

Just do collectables and dailies.i make 11 gold and around $3000 to $6500 in around 3 to 4 hours for both. In around 3 weeks ive made 570 gold and $48000 that's only spending around 4 hours on the game a day

I'd rank the roles this way: 4. Trader- last because it's a real grind, especially when no animals are spawning 3. Bounty Hunter- you get paid very little. If you need gold, get a streak going with the daily challenges 2. Moonshiner- you can start a batch while doing other things, and the bar expansion is awesome 1. Collector- the best way to make handfuls of cash, and you can do it solo

I gotta admit, since the recent patches I've had zero disconnects, no more camp issues, no freezing missions, no bounties not paying out, and plenty of animal spawns. As far as the roles, I bounce between trader and moonshine. I do bounties just for the daily challenges, and I never bothered with the collector. I just wish materials hunted last longer in the trader roll, to run a full 100 good wagon I have hunt a phenomenal amount of 3 star animals. And I'd love to see a way to make the herbs that you need for flavoring moonshine show up on the map. Otherwise RDO has been awesome. Thanks for the content as always man!

The amount of time you have to out into this game to obtain significant gains, vs the disconnects and glitches - it's not worth it for me anymore. Not when I still have to finish FF7, TLOU2, and getting started on Ghost of Tsushima. Until I hear an OVERWHELMING response from the community that it's safe to go back in the water - I'm holding off, which sucks because I love the game.

Yep plenty of them about when playing Solo 210XP still out numbered. I don't know whether they fixed this but if attacked doing Moonshine & Trade Run .Switch off the minute they attack .Restart and your stuff will be still there .Low leval Players always Twitchy with the Trigger explosive & Incendiary bye ,bye but sadly doesn't always work .If doing Trade Runs as a mission do a small Trader run short distance or long as they come up on Daily Challenges. Hope it Helps.

I got griefed by two players who were way over my level. I was at least a level 9 they were level one hundreds. One person pressed charges on the person. I feel like I'm earning shrute bucks when I play the game. There needs to be fun activities to do with friends and other players. I feel like these roles you got to do it solo to be able to make profit because whenever I help a friend with their role jobs I rarely make anything and most importantly your trader supplies never produce into goods and moonshine never produce when you're in another posse. Collector: Pro: Safest way to get a lot of cash as well as general experience When roaming from one collectible to another, you get to increase bonding level with your horse if it's not full With the daily updated map you don't need to spend a single penny on Madam Nazar for her maps A lot of collectibles are near or inside rooms so you can also take your time and pick up a lor of tonics or provisions Con: Time consuming Boring even with friends With the recent nerf, heirlooms, coins, arrowheads and jewelries become RNG. Trader: Pro: Rather stable income Can share with your friends or get a share from your friend's sold product Pretty safe Con: Could run into griefers in distance sale Hunting is kinda like grinding Moonshiner: Pro: Make less cash per sale but consuming less time and a little less risk than trader Role-exclusive horse is probably one of the best role-exclusive in the game Get to enjoy some story missions Con: Most expensive role to unlock (25 gold bar vs the standard 15) Bounty Hunter: Pro: Second most stable way to get gold (first being daily challenges) and the only role that rewards gold as well as cash Fun with friends Legendary bounties Able to use eagle eye when sprinting Bola and reinforced lasso Con: Cash reward is practically a joke (less with target brought in dead) Bounties that needs to inspect clues and do a lot of backtracking is a pain in the arse Edit: Naturalist: Pro: If you don't do the "naturalist" things, you get some nice trinkets and new outfits with the new trapper Elephant gun is funny Wilderness Camp (thank god finally) Con: *Basically everything else.* You also get really annoyed if you do trader stuff a lot

I have a system down where I do two roles at the same time. 1. Create a private lobby and hunt deer and bucks only(greatest value for your time) and load up wagon 2. Return to normal lobby and turn in the dear carcasses. This typically fills up the required materials to the max. 3. While Cripps does his thing, do collectors role in the vicinity of your camp. Return to camp once in awhile to do sellers missions. I typically net a little over 1k an hour with this method.

Legendary bounties with 5 difficult modes, each of them in a special condition (lifes, enemies, bounty alive) is less repetitive for bounty hunter role than other roles. For a player like me (lone wolf) is a big challenge make 4 or 5 star bounty alone.

Im definitely not the first to say but, what about a trapper role. You have a wagon/caravan (like madam nazar) that you can set up in towns or on roads filled with all your pelts and animal parts. You have to hunt for your own pelts and animal parts or can purchase parts from NPC's who visit your stall. You also have to do your own crafting in a special trapper bonus game where you sew and craft hats, jackets and other clothes. But depending on the quality of the pelt you use the price varies for NPC's to buy. The missions in this role could be going from town to town selling your clothes and gear. If you can imagine it being like a job. I think this would be insane.

I think an oil tycoon role would be awesome. Buy land, drill wells, deliver product, fight rival companies and upgrade production capabilities. The heartlands oil fields are already in place as a refinery and the train runs right though!

I was just vibing in online when i see a group of four guys in Valentine just trotting down the round in a line. I come out the gun shop and they all dismount and slowly walk towards me. I get hogtied and placed on one of their horses. They killed my horse and took me to the Northernmost lake in Ambarino, i nearly froze to death being in my summer gear. Everytime i broke free and whistled my horse they killed it and hogtied me. Eventually i gave up. When we reached the lake, they drowned me. When i respawned, they killed me again, each fulfilling their current daily challenges. Eventually, they took me to lagras and fed me to crocodiles. The entire way i was screaming for help in game chat. When we were in lagras for a bit, another posse turned up and there was this crazy shootout. I dont know who won bc i just dipped. It was crazy man

To safe you some time, especially the lads and lasses who are divided as to wich role they want to level and unlock first. 1. Trader. Pro's: -Good pay -Can keep you busy can get boring tho. -Cool unlockable stuff, themes, upgrades outfits, emotes and other clothing items. Con's: -Needs full attention and can be pesky to complete -Grindy -For full payout you have to risk PvP encounters. I personally rate it 6/10 2. Moonshiner Pro's -Great story -Good pay and unlockable equipment (toxic moonshine and molotovs) -Semi-Automatic production (go in, request recipe you wanna sell, go out, come back, sell) Con's: -Buggy mess -Tedious task to get recipe materials 3. Collector Pro's -Grants ability to pick herbs from horseback -INCREDIBLE payout with little effort and there's even a map for collectibles online. Con's - None 4. Bounty Hunter Pro's -Only role to pay in Gold -Fashionable unlockables -Pretty fun PvE role -New weapons -Ability to sprint on foot and horseback with eagle eye activated Con's -Kinda grindy Hope this summed it up a bit for y'all. Lol, i get more gold resetting my Achievements than I ever could doing the bounty hunter role. I've maxed out lvl 10 on over half of them now. Just not my thing (bounty hunter) when i can easily get 5 bars of gold for doing 5 challenges and collecting for the 2.5 bars everyday in less than an hour

1-Trader used to be fast money, at least in one mission. Quite grinding on XB, so I don't really count on until it's fixed. But dropping even feather from time to time, a skin here and there, I can sell one or two large wagons each week. 2- moonshiner is now the only money machine left, with a little collection of herbs, it rolls in the back ground and pops every 48 min. 3-collector with the maps online. Easy Xp and can bring money regularly -if cheating- with maps. Can be done like the trader on the way to doing other things. 4-Bounty for some kind of mission with my posses, little cash, but some good xp. I play one or two hours everyday, I stick to 5 ou 6 challenges. Easy going, I'm not trying to maximize, just goofing around and leveling up slowly... Especially since there is nothing really new now that I'm 20 in every roles. I keep the streak up for 158 days now not counting the 99 days before the crash when the roles came out (grrrrr). Trader can be very passive if you keep a wagon full of legendary animal pelts. You might not get the easy one all the time, but certain sighting missions like the Inahme Elk have a faster version where the elk spawns in almost immediately. And the banded gator literally takes like 2 minutes to do every time I've done it. Yeah, you will get sprayed; but the cool down is really not that long. Just make sure you always have a full wagon of legendary animal pelts and Trader is fairly passive. Every time it gets below half just donate one legendary pelt, do 1 sighting mission, put the pelt in your wagon, and go back to doing other stuff. Try to do the easier sighting missions with bigger or slower animals.

I'd like to see an additional 20 ranks to each role, I love the cash collector gives and how easy cards can be upgraded while being a collector, I do the trader the most tho, but I wouldn't say it's my favourite. Moonshine is dead for me as I get disconnected everytime I try it, so I guess bounty is my number 1 too. Although I would like to see new roles including rancher/farmer, robberies/heists, so much potential

i just use the trader role and the moonshiner role at the same time. i start the bootlegger mission then i buy the mash for the moonshine and then i go hunting for the trader role and whenever i have a resupply mission i do it and i keep doing sometimes i do the collect maps too

Absolutely! Once you get above like 20k+ its good to focus on the gold :) Plus you can always run some bounties and dailies and do other things like collect or work on trader in the meantime! Always multitask

if you do the Cecil C. Tucker legendary bounty, you can get upwards to 170 dollars if you really take that long. You dont have to sit there next to the area, mainly because you spend so much time killing Cecil’s goons you just rack up money from there.

I find sometimes when i bounty hunt it kicks me into a solo session sometimes it only last a few minutes sometimes its permanent till i long out unfortunately its quite random but when it works and you invite 2-3 friends you'll make a massive pile of money as well animals as far as the eye can see

Good list. I didn't even bother with Trader/Moonshiner since I did all that sort of thing in GTA:O. It used to be better but the Collector role is really where it's at for solo money making, I join posses to do bounties for gold and every now and again the posse leader will do a big Trader sell which is usually a free massive payday for posse members.

I enjoy the Trader role the most, as hunting in the game is a lot of fun. I'm on PC, so animal spawns haven't been much of an issue since I started playing. As for gold, with a 21+ day streak going, I'd much rather spend my time completing the daily missions rather than doing multiple Bounty Hunter missions. Doesn't take long to earn 5+ gold bars every day. I suppose earning BH gold is great for those who don't own all of the roles, though.

I find Trader role mixed with the naturalist role works well, as all you need to do is skin the legendary animals that you take on from The naturalist, throw them in the back of a hunting wagon and done! You only need like 3 or so legendary animals and that bar is filled! Pay for resupplies since it only costs like $20 anyway. It's easy money, just can be slow while waiting for that bar to fill up again. It's not the most fun role to play, but it's one of the more useful ones!

When trading stick to the Great Plains and tall trees tree line. You're bound to find 3 star Bucks, Proghorns, and Elk. Plenty of black bear and grizzly spawns in the area. I do have problems with the bison spawns. That's really it though for me. Before you get the wagon, grab a wild horse and tame it. Use it as your second horse for your hunting trip and make sure you're riding it. For it will not follow you. Then you can load both your horses and then lasso a carcass back to camp. You can drag a three star animal across the map and it wont damage it.

For the very first time since starting this game, I have finally experienced the animal spawn bug. I couldn't find a 3 star gator to save my life, and there was never a herd of anything. I am usually literally tripping over gators in the bayou. I rode all over for a single deer. And played like 5 hours without being attacked by wolves. Traveleing the edge of the woods and plains north of blackwater is generally a guarenteed wolf encounter. And the far north east corner of Annesberg usally yeilds a cougar. Nothing. Not even a deer. Its like the game knew I was grinding the Trader that day lol. What IS odd, is that while on trader and moonshiner deliveries, there was animals everywhere. And as soon as I finished the order, they went scarce again. Strange bug.

Yes & No as personally I have noticed improvements but with them fixing Glitches no new Content? As a Veteran I have said your words many a Time but what brings me back ? It's a Great Game when it plays well but can understand your frustration as I have got burnt out with it so many times .Drip feeding Silly Cosmetics, Glitches etc. I think the GB system is Fair if used proper not cosmetics weapons etc.But new Content isn't coming any day soon . Give it a rest keep your Cash & GB and always go back when its sorted.

Rockstar is a multibillion dollar company and they can't fix minor stuff within a year? GTA online gets more attention from the company because it makes more money because people buy more shark cards than they do gold bars. Rockstar doesn't care enough about Red Dead online to fix this stuff. And honestly it's kind sad to see because this is one of my favorite games ever. The story mode at least.

Tip for the traders. Load into a legendary bounty. It will put you into your own lobby. Then instead of going to hunt the bounty. Just go hunt animals. Spawns will be way better since there are no other players around. When you're loaded up. Just leave the legendary bounty by finding a new free roam session

It takes only 20 minutes to fill up trader twice with now animals loading in for me and I order supplies. Best camp location for me is scarlet meadow or heartlands but always be at emarald station when setting up camps

It depends on my mood. Trader is pretty good if I'm in the mood to hunt, and there is something to hunt. Moonshiner is probably my favorite. I can do collector runs or treasure maps while I wait for Froggy to make a batch, and If I'm not in the mood to kill 15-20 federal police officers for a $20 discount... well $60 isn't that expensive to start a batch. The bar fight missions are fun as hell, mainly because the locals don't start shooting you in the middle of the fun. As for Bounty Hunter? Dragging em in still kickin' is a pain in my rear, and turning in a chunk of long pork hardly pays enough to be worth it. It's the only role I haven't bothered to max. Moonshiner weapon gear is nicer anyway.

The way we make gold with daily challenges I actually stopped playing Bounty Hunter unless it's for a daily. Collector is profitable but I don't like having to constantly read a guide on where everything is because it takes me out of the game and kills the immersion. I have settled on Trader + Moonshiner roles. I have the most fun doing these 2 roles and I've made a lot of money with them. If you set up camp near Moonshine shack it's a quick jump back and forth and the 2 worth flawlessly together.

Nah trader’s best if you know about the glitch. Do the local 500 sale with other people, if there’s bandits kill them before doing this but the leader delivers the wagons and closes their game when they see the tick. Everyone else gets 500 and the leader keeps all of their goods

What i like about the moonshine the most is the Nordfolk Roadster. This breed in real life went extinct over 100 years ago sadly but it was nice rockstar brought it to the game and its the only 10 speed horse with 9 acceleration while the criollo, fox trotter and brindle thoroughbred have 8.

I don’t have any animal problems about Trader role. In New Austin i find a lot of the different variations of rams and does which is worth around 5 materials per perfect carcass. For me both Moonshiner and Trader are kind of passive roles. I have my camp close to my shack so while i do a bootlegger i hunt and donate it to cripps. While collector role is so boring becuase you have to travel so far and if you aren’t patient enough sure you can fast travel but you’ll spend around 50 dollars fast travelling beetween locations. And Bounty Hunter well it’s incredibly fun until you’ve played every Legendary Bounty and realised that it’s a waiting game.

1) Moonshiner. Easy money, it's like the Bunker in GTA Online, except the deliveries are even easier most of the time. I'd like Bounty Hunter a lot more if they got rid of the timer. I either get the bounty back with several minutes to spare, and have to decide if I want to spend another 5 minutes waiting to get the best return or just hand them in anyway, or I end up chasing them all over the map, get them there just before the timer runs out, but then the cutscene runs over the timer and I don't get rewarded. It should be a set amount of gold and dollars alive, a lower amount dead, and nothing if they escape. Simple. Collector is OK but I doubt I's have completed a single collection without the online maps. I get 95% of my items just riding around with the metal detector out, but there's always one tucked away in the back of beyond that I would never find without the maps to help. The Collector Maps from Madam Nazar are almost useless, they won't complete a collection for you even if you're just 1 or 2 items short. I only do them for the daily reward. I love the trading role and made the bulk of my dollars this way (until Moonshiners came out anyway). Playing on PC I rarely have problems hunting. I'd like if they added legendary animals to the role so you could get an extra income boost.

Bounty Hunter is not worth it because you're not making a lot of money from it. The only good part from Bounty Hunter role is The Legendary Bounties. Even if you earn Gold from it you can still get more Gold from Daily Challenges.

That is not true, if you do the maximum amount of guys to capture you will get like 70 or 80 dollars if you wait. Besides, it is the only role that can get gold fron the missions themselves. Being an active role, you can have the moonshiner producing, while you make money from the bounties. And if you are a new player you can grind Etta Doyle to get a lot of money and gold.

It makes sense for you to do it but it's not worth it for me. I get more from Trader, Moonshiner and Collector though the Breton from Bounty Hunter is better than the three other roles as its more Durable. Kladruber is the fastest from the roles but if you want a sturdy horse go for the Breton.

I'm earning plenty of Gold from Daily Challenges, I've got over 410 Gold Bars and I want to get 500 before the next update. I've been using Legendary Bounties for hunting as it doesn't affect your honour to kill Farm Animals during Legendary Bounty Hunts.

Idk I find it fairly easy to filter between trader, moonshiner, bounty hunter, and collector roles just fine. I end up having a nice cycle between all 4 roles especially when moonshiner and trader roles are in their production. It gives me time to bounty hunt and collect simultaneously. Once I'm tired of that and done a couple of runs for both moonshiner and trader roles, I take a break and do some online showdowns or races to pass the time as well. There's always something to do basically ZERO downtime when you're past level 10 on each role!

Trader is probably my favorite role, honestly I enjoy the busy work and if you hunt with a couple of posse members you can fill up your materials meter in a matter of minutes and then do bounties or collector maps while Crips produces goods. The camp glitches definitely hold back the trader role though, sucks coming back from a hunting trip only to find that your camp is invisible.

I was set on bounty hunter because I wanted to get gold to buy more roles later but found that I got gold by joining a posse and doing bounties with someone who already has the role. I have managed to raise 15 gold in a few days with that and have done a few legendary bounties. Now thinking of getting the collector so I can do things on my own as I enjoy having some me time and exploring

In my opinion, Moonshiner is my favorite role because it pays the most if you know what you’re doing. Trader is meh, animals ARE starting to spawn again, but sometimes when you’re purposely not trying to find animals, they spawn out of nowhere. Especially bears, cougars, and wolves. So kind of annoying. The Bounty Hunter is fun even though it doesn’t pay that good. The bounty hunts that pay the most are Legendary Bounties. Normal bounties just don’t pay as good. The Collector is fun and I like how the Collector brings you to exotic locations and places with beautiful scenery, but to me it gets boring very quickly. However, the best way I earn money and gold is collecting Treasure Maps. They pay the best, even more than Moonshiner.
