The dexter writers didnt fall for the "wife discovers anti heros secret" cliche, instead having that generate constant tension but also purpose for dexter. When she died, all thst went away, but for some reason the writers kept dexter acting like shes still there, so the show became boring and illogical.

My ranking would be Season 5 (the first episodes are good and shows us dexter so hurt but the villan and all the reaction of the season is just😴) Season 8 ( just horrible) Season 7 (I think there were a lot of plots that made de season just crash New blood (it was good but I think that in almos 3 seasons of dexter they do the dexter being like a harry for other kid that is damaged so that ruined for me) Season 6 (if you want hate me but I loved the characters in this season a great villan the brother sam and dexter plot And the whole thing about Dexter with religion and forgiving, trying to do what Brother Sam teach him, I loved it. Season 2 doakes death was a before an after seeing dexter so unchained was amazing lila isnt my favorite character but it was a pretty good season Season 3 I love miguel and the dynamic they have with dexter its algo other thing I loved the Season I hace to admitir it dosent start strong but at it progress just wow Season 4 just its Season 4 dont have to say more Season 1 the best it males you love and algo get soo interested in dexter as a serie and as the character this made me whatch all the series and made me a fan grat villan I love de dynamic of deb and dexter I love rita and dexter thing with the kids and both of the being so hurt but that what makes them so perfect for each other I just loved so much this season

The correct ranking: spoilers lol 9: Season 6 (5/10, doomsday is a boring villain, set up s7 very well tho) 8: Season 8 (5.5/10, overhated, oliver saxon sucks, zach and debs deaths were done really badly) 7: Season 3 (6.5/10 boring ahh season, miquel is cool, the skinner is also cool, filler season basically) 6: Season 5 (7/10 jordan chase is super corny but lumen is great atleast) 5: Season 2 (8/10, pretty good. lila sucks and doakes death was done really badly other than that pretty great though heavily overhated) 4: Season 7 (8.5/10 EXTREMELY underrated season, issak top 3 villain, laguerta finding out is great, feels like earlier seasons) 3: New Blood (9/10 Very good end to dexters character, and extremely misunderstood by people who dont understand his character. best peak in the show 2: Season 4 (9/10lil overrated but still good, trinity best villain easily, ritas death is second best part of the show (behind new blood), just really good 1: Season 1 (10/10, it doesnt get better after this honestly, ice truck killer top 3 antagonist, just really amazing)
