Another thing about Hesperornis is that their eggs turn into oil when put in a cooker/cooking pot. They’re difficult and frustrating to tame but breeding them and having them mate and egg boosted can lead to easy passive oil. Ichthyornis also make taming Otters and Hesperornis WAY easier since the fish they catch are enriched providing extra taming speed/effectiveness so they’re far more useful than most think.

And the Otter also attacks while on your shoulder. Shoulder pets are immune to combat damage while on your shoulder so it is just free damage. (Mounted shoulder pets can still drown tho so keep that in mind)

Back in the day i think Hesperornis used to lay a golden egg time to time which could be used for crafting superior kibble, im not sure if im right?

i learnt a new trick with the otter. You can have it on your shoulder, and while attack my target on fish, it will kill and harvest it, and it still farms silica perls and black perls

They are really food for pearl farms yeah. They get a good amount of oil from tilobites too

3:14 I completely agree that the noglin isnt very useful but it is very fun to use especially on pve. Just having the ability to deal 10 million damage to anything is very useful especially if your stuff is being camped by a giga or smth. Other than that it is also very fun to experiment with it and taming normally untamable or unrideabble dinos like that onyx in the video.

If you get the vulture to harvest a corpse it only gets spoiled meat.

That’s a directly really useful ability, but only if you need spoiled meat in a pinch, with any sort of preparation it’s easy to have mountains of spoiled meat

Noglin is completely broken for PvP but its very hard to get. Cant breed and cant clone. But u can do some massive damage with a Noglin. Doesnt get shot by Turrets, can take control of people and their dinos and make them run into your turrets

Oh I recently found out on the pegomastex that thing is utterly BROKEN when it comes to gethering seeds. On wandering it snags like 10 of every kind per bush ... add that to the fact that I unintentionally tamed 3 of those sneaky little bastards just cuz I had Mejo in my last slot while on the beach... It is good for getting a kickstart in farming.

The micro raptor can also attack things off of ur shoulder! My. Fav shoulder pets are pego and micro, mainly cuz they’re cute and derpy ( to me) but whenever I have my micro on my shoulder, the game says that it. Killed like a Rex or something LOL.

One thing you missed for the ichtyornis is that it is also usefull for getting prime meat, make it kill any small animal and harvest it. Idk if this still works on ascended tho.

Icthyornis and brilliant. In evolved they guarantee prime meat gets harvested and no more pesky piranhas. They are really good whilst tamed but absolute nightmares to tame

the Ferox when small also provides some heat and cold resistance when its on your shoulder, plus when tossed off it can potentially find some element dust. also the ferox once enlarged, you can feed it more element to increase it's "Addiction" meter which provides it with more power, but won't be able to maintain it's beast form for long, at max i think the time it can stay in beast mode is around 10 minutes and you would need to feed it element to resent the time. Also how high it's addiction is requires more element to get a ferox to change into it's beast form

The featherlight alerts you of any max lvl creatures nearby. I think that makes it deserve more than 4th spot of the glowpets

Otters (and dimetrodons) are a cheap, breedable, alternative to air conditioners. They're great for hatching eggs, so I breed up a bunch when I'm hatching wyverns or rock drakes.

You can launch into the air with cosmo by grappling the ground in front of you and double jumping

so i should mention about the vulture, it will harvest meat from corpses while on your shoulder and it quadruples the spoil time of meat in its inventory. Only issue is you cant add anything other than spoiled meat to it, only way to get raw meat in is to have it harvest the meat. Also they do alot of damage to enemies if you get attacked.

When you are showing the Ferox, you are wearing a very interesting helmet skin. What it is and how did you get it? Oh, and the otter harvests your kills while your are carrying it. I love using it in the water caves on The Island.

Helmet skin is VR boss helmet skin from genesis pt 1 you get it after beating the genesis pt 1 final boss

You should probably title this about PVE…pego, noglin and ferrox are all incredibly useful tames for PvP game play. I would personally add them lower on the list along with the dimorph…

I'll say that the icthyornis is a BIT more useful to me, given I always base next to fish. I can just have it passively hunt and bring back lots of meat for tranqs or my ever growing army

Pyromane is absolutely broken imo. It completely null and voids any and all other cave runners in the game. Can go anywhere, jump over anything, light everything on fire, And is immune to lava should you fall into it in caves. It’s training wheels for part-timers

for the compy i think its good because, when im trying to run from a giga or Rex, the giga or Rex will get distracted and i can run away

mesopithocus can also unlock doors im pretty sure as well, as long as their from the inside of an enemy base not 100%| but saw it in an ark video so maybe? never tested it though

I've only ever had 2 shoulder pets A compy That Guide to a stego when I accidentally hit a stego And I just tamed a compy yesterday

the fact that you put the archeopterix in shoulder pet and point as a negative point that you can't do anything while holding it is really stupid, if you count it as a shoulder pet so would be the dodo, achatina, dung beatle, etc... It just isn't a shoulder pet
