@@texandeerhunter7351 Fighting it in eternal mode took about 11 or so minutes for me THEN NEXT FLOOR I ENCOUNTERED AN ETERNAL BLOAT AND DIED IN SECONDS. Luckily after about 50 hours of playtime on eternal mode alone I was able to beat eternal blue baby. Wrath of lamb was torture and I’m glad they didn’t bring back eternal mode.

I would love to see a tier list about specifically the champion versions of the different bosses and if they make the boss easier or harder. I, at least, know plenty of champion bosses which I don't really care that much about meeting and then there are some champion versions that can just feel so unfair in a run. (Looking at you, pink Monstro in a closet boss room because they for some reason existed once.)

Imo ultra greedier is way harder than ultra greed, ultra greed only has one remotely hard attack (the key coins) and even then its a joke if you have splash damage, ultra greedier though theres way too much stuff going on at once that you cant properly see whats even happening

12:10 I'd argue if there's a large spike in difficulty within circumstances, that's borderline unfair. Ragman is easy most of the time, but he's just not a fun or fair boss if your DPS is too low. At least with most other bosses you are chipping away at them, but Ragman can technically keep you on Basement forever lol

Both minions take 5-7 hits to kill with base damage, one of them is small, nimble and moves erratically and the other is technically infinite so just lowering their HP to maybe just 4 hits would make it less of a tedious experince. As for haunts tells they are quick to the point of none existent, if your infromt of him you have little time to see his shots or beams in tike to effectively dodge

I think to nerf Famine just reducing his pooter's hp by 1 hit would be nice, maybe give them ~7 hp so they're not insta kills at 5 damage like flies but they're not annoying to kill. Man, Rotgut is the hardest boss ever. Sometimes he has attacks that you literally can't dodge. Just take the console and try to check all of his attacks (on pfase 3 too). And the Chimera is the most easy boss of the Corpse, but still hard.

I agree with most of these (give or take a few based on personal experiences), but here's how I would rearrange some of them: -Ultra Greedier is easier than Ultra Greed and not at all unfair in my opinion, he has less hp than the first phase, he doesn't spawn enemies, and you can basically control the entire fight by moving from corner to corner and you'll never get hit. I say he's on the perfect tier. -While Great Gideon wave spawns can occasionally hit you, the fight itself is basically just an easier greed mode because at least the waves don't overlap. -Hush is definitely harder than Mother, when he's at 40% or less HP, things get rough. -Siren is easy, and so are Tuff Twins and The Shell. -Beelzebub should be above Gemini, and Blighted Ovum is a straight up pushover in my opinion. -The Beast is a pushover, the soul attack is the only thing that actually hits me, if the fight even gets to that point, the Ultra Harbingers are all harder (while still relatively easy) with Pestilence > Famine > Death > War. -Daddy Long Legs, Triachnid are pushovers, I get they cheat a little bit with their HP, but now that their foot stomps are properly telegraphed, they're just free. -Mr.Fred is straight up free as well. -Mama Gurdy (the hand picture) however is one I would put in borderline unfair because of the random floor spikes attack, screw that boss. Also, I was waiting the whole video for you to put Delirium in the actual unfair category, where he belongs. Seriously, this guy NEEDS to be fixed before I get Dead God lol, this fight is just miserable.

Ultra Greedier can be kinda unfair, if he does that normal 5 shot attack with a high shotspeed, there's a very high chance you're taking a hit because of the explosions. Gotta be lucky to dodge that one, and that's pretty miserable on the harder characters. He is probably technically easier than regular Ultra Greed, but he's still got cheese. Not to mention you have to fight Ultra Greed beforehand, so Ultra Greedier is more difficult by default.

I generally find blighted ovum much much easier than say lil blub just because blighted ovum's attack patterns are predictable and the attacks themselves are telegraphed well. When you learn how to proprely run away from him and if your speed is >=1 it's basically a guaranteed no-hit fight. Lil blub on the other hand, while being pretty easy most of the time can just corner you randomly with his jumps in the second phase, especially if you get unlucky with the arena. So it's not really a harder boss but definately a bit more unfair. Same applies, even tho less, for the rainmaker with the only issue being his tears spawning inside of you. So it's weird for me to see them both being on the easier end of their tier. Totally agree with the take of blighted ovum being one of the best if not the best boss of the first floor. Overall great work and a good tier-list! Thanks!

Frankly I think Bilghted Ovum would go in easy. Gemini and Steven are both harder, and the one hitbox is the big thing. Suture's brimstone is REALLY easy to deal with, because it takes 12 years to actually go off, but it's really the one hitbox. Not having to focus on splitting your fire is a lot, health is pitiful, and I've died ~8 times to it across all my years of Issac.

@@bd1pLP i think our opinions are quite tainted by playing the game so much. I don't struggle at all with bloat but i still think he's right down unfair. He has zero tells for everything he does, it just our experience fighting it that makes us succeed. In that regard most of all repentance bosses are far better. Bumbino gideon, the pile, etc. Those are genuinely better and more fair bosses. Of course, as it stands we haven't fought them as much as Bloat, like how he appears constantly in Greed and Greedier mode. And it will stand like this until they eventually add more ways to encounter alt path bosses. (Boss rush in alt path could have alt Plath bosses? Greed and Greedier could have alt path floors. And the void could also have alt path bosses. I also would love for Delirium to have alt path forms (obviously with a proper difficulty rework)).

The only big difference for me is ultra greed and ultra greedier, personally if i have a run with low dps ultra greed is borderline unfair because it gets real hard to clear the coins and if he gets 4+ keys i sometimes find myself unable to kill the ads before they reach me. While ultra greedier not only has less boss armor i find his attacks much easier to dodge and in most of my runs if i can beat ultra greed, i can do greedier damageless, but then again I die pretty often to his first phase.

Honestly this game in general just needs something akin to Enter the Gungeon's spawn indicators Either way, I've had some painfully unfair/hard-to-react moments with Lamb and Delirium as the Lost I honestly felt relieved as hell to get Lost's Delirium mark, I was like "NEVER AGAIN" And yes T-Lost still looms over me and we still have no signs of when the Delirium rework will happen, but in the moment I was ecstatic

Late, but fun fact: Larry Jr isn’t completely random! He can only move in a direction if there is more of the room to that side. (IE: if he is on the left side of the room, he can ONLY turn right. He cannot go left. Same with up / down) the only exception being is if he hits a wall or rock, he can go in the opposite direction

I feel rotgut deserves a higher spot on the tier list, he can be really unfair sometimes on that 3rd phase especially if you don't have alot of dps. I'd go so far to say he is harder than mother, also the visage can be a little bs too some attacks you don't even get to see because on most runs you kill him before he does any hard attacks. 99% of bosses can be done without any hits with base stats but rotgut and the visage i'd say are the most impossible to do with base stats with deli of course. other than that great tier list tho

My only real disagreement would be the 2 greedier, I think phase 1 is much harder than phase 2 simply because phase 2 can be avoided /cheesed by remaining in the 4 corners of the room and destroying any bomb coins nearby, his beams can't hit you, you can duck away from the corner briefly to dodge his coin shots and anytime he jumps just move to any other corner that isn't the one he was in and if he comes stomping towards you he's extremely slow and there's little issue in skidaddling away from him, even with a sub par run you can bully him. Then phase 1 doesn't have that, he's quicker than his gold counterpart and can only get faster as he heals, can summon pretty beefy enemies, has the various pickup coins that can fuck you up without good items or damage, has the dreaded spin that can chase you down and his shots spread out in a way to catch you if you aren't ready to dodge, you can't just bounce from corner to corner with phase 1, you have to actually have to fight him child to monolithic shopkeeper thing and he can punish you for having a poor run

Great list. I agree with pretty much all of it, with the exceptions of: 1. Baby Plum should totally be "Hard but doable" tier. The fact that you can get Monstro or Plum on any given Basement 1 has me both confuzzled and perplexed. I love the boss, but quick, bullet hell-like attacks shouldn't be on floor 1, imo. 2. Rag Mega is probably my least favorite boss in the game. Staring at a roll of toilet paper for several seconds at a time just isn't fun. I'd put him in at least "fair," only because it's more obnoxious than difficult if you're trying hard. (It especially sucks 'cause I love the Rag enemies' aesthetic.) 3. I'd put Bumbino in Unfair, tbh. The boss doesn't belong in Caves, gameplay-wise. His hitboxes are janky, his attacks have barely any startup (like with Gurdy Jr.'s insta-charge), the falling rocks are nigh-unreactable with how light the shadows are, and atop all that, he steals your money. He simply feels half-baked, especially his spare requirement (get bullied out of your lunch money to win the fight? who would opt for that?). ending on a positive note: god I love Dogma so fuckin much dude, absolute top-tier vibes, music and fight

I'm not sure if it's just me but if you don't have the damage to move beast to his next charge fast enough thoes alternative attacks he uses are pretty tough to deal with. Especially the one where he goes into the lava and starts shooting fire balls at you I don't think I have ever dodged that one perfectly. But he is very easy if you can keep him moving onto the next charge with high enough damage.

I actually like the regular Ultra Greed fight; all of his attacks are pretty well telegraphed, which can't quite be said for some other bosses. I've heard complaints about his boss armor, but all it does is prevent you from killing him (a boss who has far less health than other bosses with boss armor) immediately, which I think is perfectly fair. But who's decision was it to give Ultra Greedier rock spikes? They make up the majority of the damage I take in that fight, and they were complained about on the Cage before Afterbirth+ was even released. Just why?

I hate Adversary purely because his curvy brimstone trips me up every single time.

The key to avoiding that brimstone attack is whenever you think he's going to do it, get right BEHIND him and stay there. His 90° brimstone can't attack you when you're behind him as it's 180° opposite to him! This strategy works 95% of the time, with the other 5% getting hit by spiders spawned on me that I mistook for his brimstone attack, lol. My suggestion when you get two of them is to use a similar strategy whenever both of them are about to do it. Get behind one, and then as the other one fires its laser towards you, move away from it in another direction whilst still avoiding the one nearest to you. You might still get hit, but the chance is much lower. Also, I think they try to avoid hitting each other, so staying behind one of them when they're both about to fire will prevent you from hit by the other brimstone. I'm NOT 100% sure about that, but the aforementioned strategy works out well for about 85% of my double Adversary encounters.

I honestly can't stand mother at all and would put her into unfair. No matter how powerful I am, the boss fight ALWAYS drags on. And she just moves too fast for me to react and I always feel like I'm fighting the camera. Projectile protection always seems like a juloke unless you have pay fly and I feel like she's just too fast. I also never feel like I have enough items for this boss that seems like she should be hush to delirium boss levels of difficulty.

However, if you have a character with physical attacks, you can hit the fistula back towards mother, then she'll try to hit it back against you. Repeat this process a few times and you'll stun and damage her.

Is there ANY way to actually avoid Hush's continuum tears? I've tried almost everything, and even after beating him on Hard with all Afterbirth characters, I still get hit by it every single time.

I don't know if they changed it, but some tears actually follow eachother, so once you find a cheese spot, stay here, and the continuum wave won't touch you.

The strat I do is to stay next to the center bullet stream, that one is a straight line so you are safe until he switches directions (90 degrees) then you should go to the side of the center beam, its a bit hard to time but you get to stay still fot 80% of the attack

glad to see im not the only one who thinks wormwood is easy, my friends hold R when they see him, it hurts. But I gotta disagree on min-min that boss is a pushover, just circle strafe the whole fight and change direction when it fires stuff.

Ultra Greedier doesn't seem that bad, tho I do abuse the corner trick because at that point cause I'm usually on low health. Both mom fights are easy imo but that's because you run into them so often. I struggle a lot with Hornfel but that's alright. I can usually no hit Bumbino but he's still fast as shit and the drop shadows are barely visible to me. Think I'm just bad at "unpredictable" bosses, probably why I think Mother can be pretty easy once you learn her and why I fall flat on my ass with The Herectic

I know im late to this but id just like to say that i totally agree with delirium being in the unfair category. a few days ago, i was playing as a tainted character and was about to beat delirium, and i did technically, but i also died. The reason why? Delirium turned into moms foot (which you know spawns the hitbox right on top of the player) and also spawned tears. literally spawned on top of me. If that hadn't happened i would've beat delirium. call me salty because thats what i am.

Dogma should have been borderline unfair, ok, it's a choice to go for the Beast, but still, if your build kinda sucks, maybe you decided to go for the planetarium strat, so you could take all the items you missed in the ascension path, if those items are, idk, a bunch of beans or some shitty items, you are screwd, you cannot survive against dogma, because of his second phase, if you are lucky maybe you can manage it, but if it does only the spinning circle attack you are pretty much dead, in my opinion

Seems well balanced to me after you have to beat the 4 horsemen and dogma. To make it harder (and potentially unfair), during the final chase you could have it shoot out fires or bullets at random while still dodging the stalactites, which would make it similar to the robot boss from Cuphead.

Increase health from 10,000 to 12,000. His spikes are unbreakable or just have like tripled health. Make all of his chase attacks very slightly faster. The gaps in the fire rings in his inhale attack should be a bit smaller. In his third phase (endless chase phase) add the falling spikes. End.

@@poyodarkz so umm , his 2nd chase is in his 1st phase , its actually a loop, and you kill him before he starts a second loop Don't attack him at all in one of your runs , you will see that he doesn't have 3 phases , but 2 and that you basically never see the 2nd

Huh. Weird. I have almost the exact opposite opinions about downpour bosses. Blub is a bastard (I hate leeches) and Wormwood is so goddamn fast, while you can just kite Rainmaker and Min-Min in circles. Adversary can also be a bastard if they brimstone right after the ground slam and you're too far away to dodge - really, the brimstone should work more like Vis Versa enemies and I think it'd be a lot better as a boss. Also, Bloat makes me wait and that is unforgivable.
