Swallow penny ranking is criminal, that shit is op af. It always drops a coin, and that coin can be dime or nickel and sometimes a lucky penny. When you get an arcade you can basically grantee you pay out all the machine and beggers. Not to mention d20 game breaks that are some times possible. Although i agreed it useless late game, but early and mid game basically a free win if you use it right.

Swallowed Penny isnt op. I dont see how you'd get a full arcade pay out with just Swallowed Penny (besides maybe a blood donation bank (which Blood Donation Banks are op af, I will give you that). Breaking the game with d20 is free and definetly doesnt require swallowed penny just d20 plus anything that drops pick-ups does the trick.

This FR Swallowed Penny atleast deserved to be in cool i guess tier for these reasons: 1. It's a godsend on playing the Keepers it's so busted on them it had to be nerfed to only be a chance. 2. It has a high chance to appear early game due to dropping from pots (A 2.5% chance per pot broken compared to Petrified Poops 0.5% though you break more poops than pots so you might see it more) which are usually on the basement, like petrified poop another really strong trinket in the cool tier. 3. Blood banks become even more powerful than they already are, doubling the amount of money you make from them. 4. The chance to see a blood bank goes up, because you can save up enough money early to get an arcade to spawn. 5. ANYTHING that requires taking damage gives you a slight benefit that can add up over a run (Sac rooms, Cursed rooms, Spiked Chests). I will concede that late game when you no longer have shops it is no longer useful but has a similar falloff to petrified poop because by the time you stop seeing shops is the same time you stop seeing poop on floors.

39. Cancer: you missed the part where it breaks the tear cap beign even more valuable than curved horn in the late game since your DPS Will likely be Better with cancer than with curved horn. As an Isaac veteran the horn vs cancer was a huge discussion in the community since wrath of the lamb

Yeah honestly this video starts off with bs right away. How tf is Swallowed Penny worse than Petrified Poop? Sure you don't want to take damage and should always imply a perfect player when ranking stuff... But how many high poop seeds are there actually? Chances are you get Petrified Poop in Basement and maybe two coins from the five poops you encounter. And then never encounter much poop ever again except for red poop in Super Secret Rooms/Womb. Card against humanity is very rare you can't bet on getting it. Swallowed Penny, there are plenty of instances where taking damage is still worth it, like Blood Donation Machines, chests/pickups behind spikes...you can allow yourself to get hit to make it for a Shop Item...Swallowed Penny is good you can turn your spare hearts into coin and ensure your shop buy every floor. Petrified Poop only really works with other Poop synergy items. Otherwise weak trinket.

@@anzorunono4967 You can break the game with Infinite Stores, IV bag, high luck and enough pickup spawn items like Swallowed Penny, Piggy Bank, Habit, Dark bum, Bum friend, Bumbo, etc. If you get Soul Converter and Potaoe Peeler you can make infinite Super Meat Boys. The on-damage spawn pickups stuff is all completely broken and can so easily be exploited with cheap store item builds that you just shouldn't underrate them.

You want to avoid damage from enemies, but there are plenty of instances where you can trade self-damage for value, and unless you are going for Hush/Boss Rush you should do so every time. Always trade in your spare Red Hearts from the map to the Blood Donation Machine, Devil Beggars or Curse Rooms, then there are Items like Piggy Bank or Habit that synergyze incredible well. Blood Donation Machine is particularly broken and gives you tons of cheap HP ups that you can then trade in for Devil Deals. Habit+Schoolbag+IV Bag+Converter+Infinite Stores+Chaos+Potatoe Peeler and enough Luck is infinite Money+Infinite Hearts and INFINITE ITEMS and INFINITE SUPER MEAT BOYS...with a store item combo. Had a Cain run lately where I broke the game, then accidentally fell down an Ehwaz traphole and finished with no Completion Mark due to not getting Polaroid/Negative. Sorry but you just didn't seem to have realized the way to play this game. Swallowed Penny is top tier trinket for any character except The Lost and Judas before he gets an HP up.

Looking for this; Broken remote + any no charge item (which there are a good deal of) = infinite teleports! This means you can escape dangerous situations, get in and out of any locked room for free, and even skip to the end of every floor with just a few clicks.

Swallowed penny is very eh. 1 coin per time your hit isnt very good, gives at most (not accounting healing) 24 coins. Which is 1-3 shop items, which are mediocre most of the time. Swallowed penny's greatest strength is being moderately common (bombing pots) and giving a 50% (?) chance to also drop a coin as Keeper.

As a vehement hater of Mom's toenail, I have one small defense of it. If you use it with gnawed leaf, you could afk most rooms/bosses, granted, it'll take an eternity, but if it's golden or if you have mom's box it becomes decently better. Combine this with even a weak orbital and you might just have yourself a run winner

bob's bladder is actually surprisingly good early-mid game imo, the puddle of creep does INSANE dps (way more than the bomb itself) so if you push it into a boss that moves and the boss walks onto it it'll basically instantly kill them. its not too hard to use on a lot of bosses and i've been carried by it a few times. (i do have 2500 hours in the game. you got me)

Butter can be used to get more items from whatever item pool you want if you manage to find a reroll machine in said room (or if you place one with that one repentance card). Using the item will drop it, then you can reroll until you have something better. Super niche item usage, but game breaking potential.

I think overall this list is really good but broken remote can force you to go into any room with no error room chance if you're using an infinite use active item. This includes secret rooms, shops, treasure rooms, planetariums, libraries, bedrooms, secret rooms, challenge rooms, and there's probably more im forgetting. It also allows itself to be used as a panic option for the lost, as on teleport your mantle will recharge.

Crow Heart can be very useful. If you find it as the forgotten. Then it causes any damage to use up the red hearts and not your Bone Hearts. So you only loose the bone hearts after all red hearts and greatly reduce the risk of losing devil chance

30:20 for cursed skull, there was one very specific instance where cursed skull actually helped me. This was back when I was still a beginner Isaac player and hadn't beaten mum yet. So I happened upon this trinket alongside Scapular, which gives you a free soul heart when you're reduced to half a heart. Which means every time mum kicks me, I lose my soul heart, get teleported out, and get a new soul heart. Making me practically invincible. It is an incredibly nieche scenario, but the item is not completely useless.

My Cursed Skull experience was completely different. I had Gimpy with Cursed Skull once. I kept having a skill issue and the 50/50 chance to get a full soul heart on critical health while holding the skull didn't really save my run that well. I got lucky on the first teleport, but after that, I got teleported out without gaining a soul heart. My run was doomed.

Equality is actually really good if you pull it off with careful planning. When everything matches it will not only make all new drops double, but anything that was a single drop will turn into a double when you re-enter the room. As long as the items are doubled, they won't undo if you mess up the counts or swap/drop the trinket. Generally when my items are equal I leave all drops until the end to pick up. But it's usually best on early floors

Cursed skull had one utility in AB+, where you could use it as a safety net for Keeper since he had only 2 coin hearts to give you a chance to heal with a coin you left behind. Now it's completely useless.

Fun video, some things of note, I think the best possible use of cursed skull is after you beat the boss, you have a lot of hearts and you try to find the ultra secret room. I really liked that you had Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door music somewhere in the video, and thanks for the suggestion to get a snack it was what I needed.

Butter stan here. What the flip is it doing in the same tier as TRASH like broken remote and moms toenail I'm bouta to tweak out about the crying baby game. Butter is one of the best trinkets for rigging as if you get it an basically any reroll YOU guarantee some nutty game break / goofy items. A library / Restock shop (with how cheap some of the active items are) is such an insane thing with this item just move them all to secret room reroll then free win baybeeee It's like a way worse version of moving box but moving box is already insane for Isaac rigs so a watered down version should still be considered "good" this also has a really cool synergy with glass canon basically removing the down side an giving you a really powerful room clear option. If your a based Isaac fan you should agree any item that has rigging potential is S tier (butter is probably around "cool I guess" cause its kinda situational but still what da flip is it doing in trash tier)

About broken remote: honestly with a bad run that has a no charge active that trinkets op With a no charge active like ventricle razor you can just go in any room or just skip the floor entirely to go to the boss or maybe get secret rooms! I won my first blue baby run with it a while ago in afterbirth so id say it shouldn't be the bottom tier as it can be used with specific conditions

2 interesting cases: With butter and damocles, dropping the active spawns a new item, this plus any 0 charge active like how to jump is literally infinite items. With the blue key, you can do that thing where you get close enough to a door to interact but not actually go in, open it, drop the trinket, and scam the door open

One thing to note about Sigil Of Baphomet is that the shield cant actually stack forever, it has a max cap of 5 seconds. But killing an enemy with 4 seconds does bring it back to 5 seconds. It is effectively infinite shield (equal to the enemies in the room), But if you use something like a death card on a room of flies like in your example then you will only get 5 seconds max and not 20 like you stated, that however does not mean that it isn't the fucking GOAT of all trinkets lmao.

Im late to the party but #103 "equality!" is probably one of the best trinkets if you get it early, once you know how it works and how you can minmax with it you will get stacked in pickups before You Even Fight Mom's Foot

Sigil of Baphomet absoutely deserves its placement, but if I recall correctly the stored invulnerability caps out at 5 seconds, so clearing a swarm of flies or something won't net you 20s as you say in the video. Still 10/10 trinket and it doesn't change its placement, just a minor thing to note.

Character like Tainted Magdalene or The Forgotten get the keep their Bone hearts for a lot longer, while normal characters get to have more than one heart to protect their deal chance (if owning multiple bone hearts)

believe it or not but broken remote can break the game if you have an infinite use active (like guppy's paw), since you can just keep teleporting across a whole floor until you've every special room. probably the most boring and tedious way to break a run, but it can break one nonetheless

Daemon's Tail slander on God- it turns most heart drops into keys which are way more useful than the red hearts you'd be finding instead and then also turns _literally every heart that actually drops into a black heart_ (except for in secret rooms that also turn every heart into a specific type). It's a "WE WON" early and mid game and "yoo that's pretty good" late game. Plus with Ace of Hearts it lets you black heart bomb your way through like 2 floors if you really wanted to Edit: Ok literally same reasoning you gave to put Mom's Pearl a tier higher except it pays out twice as often with the better heart type _and_ gives you extra keys to boot. 11:20 I'm not sure i understand the point of red hearts being less important late game? sure there's nothing to trade them to unless you get really lucky but red heart containers are generally a lot easier to refil than it is to get new soul hearts imo, unless you have items that help with the latter which you don't always. also red hearts in late game lose one of their main downsides in early game: it no longer matters if you take red heart damage once you get to the point where devil/angel deals no longer spawn naturally.

The daemons tail (probably) works by reducing red heart drops but if you get a red heart drop it changes it to black heart, its also very busted with the 3 skull gambling minigame because ALL hearts he drops wil be black

I would bump up Gulped Penny, the usefulness in early shops is very strong, you can recycle a lot of red hearts potentially, by having early coins in the run you boost the chance for arcades to appear which mean even more coins at the expense of red hearts... and all of that is boosted even more in greed mode.

oh i just mean that shop only appear on chapter 3 and not chapter 4 (the womb) so you don't have as many shops when you compare it to 'early game' (chapters 1 and 2)

I think you're underating mysterious candy, it gives you infinite money, red and soul hearts, it essentially is an instant win early and mid, and infinite health late game if you want to min-max the item. Essentially a one trinket game break

one thing to note with devil's crown is that you can take both the normal AND blind item in alt path. It's especially useful in the ascent path because the blind devil deals are now revealed, and hopefully by this point you have more hearts to take on those devil deals. It's obviously useful all the way until home if you did take the deals, but you can obviously switch out the trinket if the item rooms are all already transformed.

I think you really underrated the left hand in the mid to late game, having a chance to get soul hearts and deal teleports instead of pickups is a REALLY good trade off

12:18 Have to disagree with 'Paper Clip' being (it's whatever) to at least a tier higher. I honestly ended up in situations where in the Dark Room/Chest floor I had chests appearing, but lacked keys to unlock them. Heck, I even couldn't unlock the starter 4 at the time, so me getting Paper Clip was like a blessing, but that's a rare situations but did happen, lol. And I'm a full floor clearer type of player, and even then got screwed by no keys dropping. Overall, it is your opinion - I love your ranking and mostly agree with you. Although would have been great to have another ranking based on how much beneficial/dependent for the specific set of characters. You basically don't drop Swallowed Penny as Greed / Tainted Greed, this is a "WE WON" trinket for them. Don't know, if you read this comment or not, but regardless, I wish you the best and a solid video, comrade. 💜

I don't like rosary bead because the key pieces also buff angel chance while not taking up a trinket slot, while also giving you more chance for eternal hearts. Even if you aren't going for mega satan or playing something like apollyon the key pieces are still really good to have because they're a decent reward with fairly little effort

Swallowed penny should be higher, it's crazy to say "it's whatever", it allows you to buy things you may not be able to otherwise and that can have a huge impact on your power level. Having a strong build will trivialize most of the late game, and this trinket helps with that.

7:52 one small note on store credit, and not a good one. if you take pound of flesh, store credit stops working at all. it still doesn't count for devil deals and it stops working in shops as well. i was pretty bummed to discover that, i feel like that should be a trick that works with pound of flesh.

Equality is decent actually. You can double the pickups for an entire floor (just wait until you full clear to grab pickups so you can keep doubling for the entire floor). It’s good if you save all pickups for last

The main use i found for 103° "Equality!" is in greedier mode. If you force to be always in 0 coins, 0 bombs and 0 keys then you get x2 coins in the floor, you spent all so as you return to the 000 and continue like that.
