Mapping people with slugs just feels like... a different kind of power. You kill somebody with a pellet shotty, whatever, you kill them with a fusion, they get angrier and push you more. You kill them enough times seemingly out of nowhere with a slug, you traumatize them and they don't push that corner against you anymore. Slug life can be addicting.

Duality is bugged but also maybe I am the only one but I have a lot of kill lags with the slugs. After a shot it takes a sec or two till you see them killed. Anyone else with similar experiance?

Fortissimo belongs in A Tier AT LEAST (more like A+ Tier). Fluted, Accurized, Threat, Opening and Range put it at 94 range, 96 handling and 67 aim assist. It also feels way better than Nessa’s and Super Cluster due to higher AA, Threat Detector and the Suros sights.

Yeah it can be very good. I will say nessa gets pretty identical stats so I’d probably say it’s fair to bump it up. For me it more came to the likely hood of actually getting that roll

I'm still learning slugs but your vids have been invaluable in learning to use them properly. Currently chasing gunnoras, I haven't gotten a single opening shot roll all week

Duality has been my favourite gun ever since I found out about it. It's so versatile since it can also be a pellet, yet it still can map people like Chaperone or Inquisitor with Opening shot.

loved your sniper vid, so glad when I saw this come out. I am not good with slugs but I like using them. I got lucky because I somehow had a pretty good roll of fortissimo and Gunnora's. I even have 3 different crafted heritages lol (and all the other ones)... but somehow super cluster just works the best for me. The sound it makes, the feel, and it just feels more consistent than other slugs i've used. I have an ALH/OS bonechiller that I rarely used because of handling, but now that titans get ophidians via exotic class item I've been messing with that again too.

9:55 brother you forgot to mention skulking wolfs, literally invis+dilation when you get a kill with low health, it happens all the times with any close quarters shotty fight, its very good in both 3s and 6s.

something about those sights on a lot of the legendary slug shotguns (gunnora's axe is my baby) are just so clean to the point where 9 times out of 10 i would rather use a legendary slug shotgun with the suros sights than either of the exotics even with a non exotic primary.

Gunnora's is also one of the few rolls with ricochet rounds (if not the only), which lets you shoot around corners. That moves it above Inquisitor for me.

Used no reprieve exactly once in pvp and that was during the crafting with a aggressive frame spread on it where every pellet dealt slug damage

On mnk, only the sojourners tale and heritage feel good for me. Maybe because they both have iron sights that doesn’t wobble when u ads so I can see where I’m aiming at.

I think gunnoras and chaperone are best in slot. They both have something special besides just good stats like the other top tier slugs, that being skulking wolf and roadborne.

Personally my favorite is Inquisitor I got 93 range with fragile and I love mapping people with it I’m almost at 1k kills on it too

​@@Awake_wlIt's been bugged since they decoupled zoom and range. I'm not sure Bungie even acknowledged it's bugged again. (It already had that no range on slug issue a couple of years ago but that got fixed). The missing range shows quite often though when you're used to the non- bugged version. Especially quick clean ups with a body shot or a very ranged hs tend to not kill though they normally should. Love Duality but swapped to Inquisitor because of the bugged range.

I am one of the few Bonechiller enjoyers. I dont know what it is about it, but it's only one of 3 slugs I can hit shots with consistently, the other two being chappy and duality.

I really like bone chiller if you have a build that guarantees 2-3 stacks of surplus. I used to use it a lot with stasis hunter + 6th coyote and I would just not use my charged melee so I always had 2 stacks and most of the time I had either a dodge or a grenade up so 90% of the time I had 3 stacks. Kind of niche but it turns bone chiller into a monster.

Duality was my baby back in peak 120 2 tap meta. But now i dread using it because that leaves me pairing it with a legendary hand cannon. To me they all feel the same and i get bored of using them real quick

Nessa's is actually pretty goated on controller, it has a bit more aim assist so I'm ok with 86 handling and slapping on a dex and targeting mod. Heritage and Nessa's are my top picks when it comes to slugs.

i run fragile focus on my inquisitor, has always 100 range and 100 handeling but i speced into stability and i basically dont get flinched

Would you value Freehand Grip or Targeting Adjuster on a hipfire heritage more? Also, I remember reading that ADS and Hipfire have the same range on slugs... so if you have hipfire heritage, is ADSing still worth it over just sending it once the reticule is on their head and you are within that 8-9m range?

I don’t use the hipfire builds that often because I think it’s more of an mnk thing but basically you’d need to see if hipfire grip makes freehand irrelevant or if they stack together and make it better. If not then TA would be better.

Heritage to me is the best in game It’s just pure magic and I was gifted with THE god roll and I don’t do raids much Ended up deleting it when I got the crafted version kinda sad cuz my kills are gone and ever since the ammo changes using special in general is kinda not worth it Side arm/smg and pulse seem to be the move these days or just forerunner 🙄

Lol I suck with Duality too. Chaperone feels like the head hitbox is everything except there feet so I use that if I use a slug lol. Every now and then tho you play against a guy who mastered Duality and def a force in the right hands but would take awhile to master for sure.

If you use ophidians then high aim assist slugs become a lot better such as Bonchiller, Blasphemer with hip fire grip and opening shot has the best aim assist + max range however heritage will still be better ads while still being very good hipfire

I legit just used 3 Deepsights on No Reprieve….. & it’s RARE to get to crafted cause you can no longer get red borders for so no it’s not actually craftable atm

@@Awake_wl I personally think RPM of smgs is a big factor. Like 720s like immortal used to feel amazing but now they don't, whereas now 600s feel incredible especially with kill clip and target lock respectively. Also 900s do melt really fast but they lack that range.

slideshot/snap/MT is not the god roll for heritage lmfao. put Offhand + Hipfire grip and enhance them both. with offhand proc'd you have ***fourteen meters*** of range with insane bullet magnetism. it outranges every other option by a mile while also providing the benefits of not having to ads for a precise shot. crafted hipfire heritage is, in my opinion, the best slug in the game, bar none.

Yeah I pointed out offhand strike but the current ammo situation hurts it pretty bad. Other issue for me at least is that hipfire in general is better on mnk than controller so a lot of controller players would just rather use chaperone at that point imo
