Objectively this album is far from Madonna's best but if you know me you know that MDNA has a special place in my heart. It was the first Madonna release I experienced as a teenager, her first era that I enjoyed from start to finish, the first tour I knew of hers, it has Girl Gone Wild (which is one of my favorite songs and videos of all time), it also has one of my favorite photoshoots ever and it was also the first CD I held in my hands… I will never forget you, MDNA 🥹😭🩷

Your thoughts on this album? 🤔 In my opinion this is probably (and objectively) Madonna’s weakest and least cohesive work, but any pop diva would kill for the best tracks made here.

i don’t think it’s her weakest one because it had incredible visuals and concepts, which for example the debut and bedtime stories didn’t (that without saying those are bad albums, not at all), but it’s always a hard choice when it comes to her, the most artistic person we had in the industry. one thing is for sure, it’s her less original work, that i will say. but FALLING FREE and LOVE SPENT deserved a higher position here 🥲

The opener Girl Gone Wild is a masterpiece and I expected the rest of the album to be as good, but sadly left me disappointed. There’s way too much filler from Superstar and I’m A Sinner, and songs that are overproduced like Love Spent and Turn Up the Radio. The song Masterpiece is a standout, as it strips the production and shows more vulnerability. Other than that, yeah this album is very mid. Deluxe Tracks: I actually love Beautiful Killer and wished it was on standard. Sadly, not all deluxe tracks are as good. B Day Song and I F Up are two of the worst songs on the album.
