Saturn Version is better overall but the music is hit or miss while Genesis music is consistently good and it has Diamond Dust and Volcano Valley. But Saturn version gave us “Your my Hero” and without it we wouldn’t have gotten the remade version in Generations. Green Grove: Saturn Rusty Ruin: Tie Act 1 Saturn Act 2 Genesis Spring Stadium: Saturn Diamond Dust: Genesis Volcanic Valley: Genesis Gene Gadget: Genesis Panic Puppet: Tie Special Stage: Saturn Boss: Genesis Final Fight: Saturn Invincibility: Saturn Staff Credits vs You’re my Hero: Tie I like Genesis Soundtrack more overall. Diamond Dust and Volcanic Valley are just too good.

This game was (and is) amazing. Ok, i started saying like everyone else, eww the isometric view, but once i played and finish it, i couldnt stop. The music, the graphics, the incredible intro for the capabilities pf the Génesis...awesome. also it has a atmosphere that no any other Sonic game has. So, it bothers me deeply all the hate it receive, mostly being way worst and unapealing games on the franchise (some of them overrated). Playing this in 1996 on your Genesis was magical, i remember saying, DKC and Mario RPG have nothing on this and i mantain the same posture now. So, yeah. Sue me. 3D blast along 1, 2, 3, Knuckles (my all time favourite) and Adventure are on the top of my list (i learned to love CD too). Also Volcano valley act2 genesis song is EPIC!.

Was the first Sonic game I owned as a kid and I played it to death. Good times...
