I'll be real, I used to geniunely think Tombstone was actually made out of rock instead of just being albino. Why else would he be pale and super strong and have -stone in his name?

TIL that he isn’t made of stone lmao. In my defence this show is pretty much my only exposure to him. I did think it was a tiny bit weird that none of the rich people had a problem with the guy made of stone, but it was easy to ignore. Him being albino would make more sense tho lol

​@@Unbrickable27 Even though it isn't accurate to the spirit of the comics I liked, I think, for what it is, Spider-man 2 is the best adaptation related to Spider-man (I think 90s TAS Spider-man is the most accurate to the spirit of the Spider-man comics characterization) and I still think Spider-man 2 is the second greatest superhero movie imo. First is the Incredibles!

What this series did with the more classic character designs should be more appreciated by people. I took the oldest designs but I did not caricature them to make fun of them, on the contrary, they are the most basic ideas of these characters transmitted in a simplification so effective that not even modern animated series or modern designs have managed to represent today. without the need for many textures, unnecessary patterns and all those artistic technicalities. This series only with good coloring and excellent design ideas became, is and will continue to be one of the best animated series in the History.

The symbiote suit actually has 3 variants in this show with the one being a in-between with the first stage and the last stage having some of the webbing on the mask hands feet and neck and i personally feel like that variant is the best out of the three

@InsidiousOne Spectacular was a great show but most of it was boring af. The only thing great about it was the street level things. The Animated Series went on to give multiple cameos that still felt real i even got emotional when spidey tried to ask help from X men and they didn't. They had limited action not because it was an old show but due to restrictions.

It's unironically the only Electro design which actually looks cool. Every other time he looks a total goober or a Doctor Manhattan ripoff. I personally don't think that all classic comic designs will look goofy by default, a lot of people like to say that for Shocker's classic design, but I disagree, I think Shocker's OG design CAN be cool if you do it right, but Electro's OG design is genuinely so ass. It has a nice color palette, but yeah, it's so impossible to take seriously.

Even though Spectacular Spiderman is arguably the greatest Spiderman series we've ever gotten I can understand why some people would find the character designs off-putting, even though I actually like the artstyle and gives the show its own simple style but still tell an excellent narrative Personally some of my favourite character designs were Spider-Man, Electro, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Lizard, Tombstone, Mysterio, Venom and the Symbiote Suit. Would love to see you do more of these comic book animated design rankings for other shows like X-Men 97, Avengers Earths Mightiest Heroes, Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, Superman The Animated Series, My Adventures With Superman, Young Justice etc...
