This was really fun, and well done. Great guest to fill out the picks. But I say this for all of y'all's benefit, truly: Darnold at 14 is nasty work. Granted, your criteria was who could win a game tomorrow, so prior history is bound to play a role. But if you watch the games in full, Darnold has been who you think Jordan love is (with better ball security and decisions). Listen to the qualifiers you put on Stafford, Love, Mayfield etc yet ranked them (mostly) much higher. Anyway, you're missing out on an incredible story in how dominant Darnold has been (2nd in explosive plays, best against the blitz).

For Mahomes, I will add this caveat for his season: HIs tackles have been so atrocious this year that they have made the offense completely dysfunctional on multiple occasions, which is something neither Lamar nor Allen have had to deal with. Also, the entire offense was built around Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown, and both were thought to be out for the season by week 4, so the offense had to be completely restructured.

The offense had to be restructured twice. After the Rashee/Hollywood injuries, KC picked up Kareem Hunt. The Chiefs then turned into a power-run game behind Thuney, Creed, and Trey Smith, and Reid started running 13 personnel with Gray, Kelce, Fortson, and Jared Wiley. But then both Fortson and Wiley had season-ending injuries so that had to be scrapped too.

PFF has the chiefs O line ranked 4th this season. Mahomes’ numbers were worse when Rice was healthy. PFF also has Mahomes lower than Lamar Burrow and Allen, so it’s not just stats that show he’s been doing worse

@gavinbaskette4701 PFF ranks the Chiefs' O-line 4th, yet when you watch the game, it's clear that the O-line is not nearly as good as PFF claims. That means there's something wrong with PFF's grading. Burrow, Allen, and Lamar didn't lose their WR 1 and WR 2. They didn't have their WR 4, 5, and 6 on IR at various points throughout the season, they didn't lose their RB1, they didn't lose their TE 3, 4, and 5, and they didn't have 4 different LTs. Mahomes is still the best 3rd/4th down QB, the best 4th quarter QB, the Chiefs have the best 3rd down offense by ~5 percentage points, and Mahomes has had 7 game winning drives. As soon as Hollywood played only 20% of the Chiefs' offensive snaps, their offense destroyed the Texans' 2nd ranked defense by DVOA. What PFF is measuring is not how good Mahomes has been but the Chiefs' injury decimated offense.

Josh Allen has been to one afc championship. The playoff success of Josh Allen? Look if we go by playoff success. There are 4 current qbs that have won a Super Bowl. Mahomes, Wilson, Rodgers, and Stafford. The current qb’s who have played in a Super Bowl and lost Mahomes, Wilson, Hurts, Purdy, Burrow, Goff, and Garoppolo. So the only in their prime qb that’s have had the ultimate playoff success is Mahomes. Josh Allen hasn’t won a superbowl. He has been to one championship game just like Lamar Jackson. Lamar is a two time MVP. He has had the 1 seed two times during the Mahomes era. He has never had a dominate receiver. He scores more points and wins more in the regular season than Allen. Jared Goff always seems to be a QB who is in the right system and executes it well, and that's always been the argument against him. I feel like him being in these situations isn't just a case of being blessed and lucky though. There's more to football than just what happens on the field, and with that I'm referring to preparation/gameplanning. Most guys assume it's Goff's coaches who do all of that, but Ben Johnson has spoken numerous times that the Lions offense is crafted through both the mind of him and Jared. QB gameplanning is the type of stuff that guys like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning were lauded for, and I'm not saying Goff is on the level of them as QBs but I think there's definitely an aspect to how well he prepares for games that has led to his teams always finding success. Speaking of those two guys, Goff has just recently joined them as the only 3 QBs to be part of 13-win seasons for 2 different teams. I don't think that's coincidence.

Again way more disrespect of the ceiling of Penix Jr. Saying his ceiling is Tua is laughable. No he’s not a freak athlete but last time I checked neither is Joe Burrow who everyone has as top 3 QB. Penix Jr is literally a more physically gifted version of what you think Burrow is with sub 4.6 speed. And I say what you think he is because Burrow would go down several spots without Chase/Higgins. Penix Jr won’t even need weapons that good to lead team to top 5 offense. Hes one of the best processors ever and one of best ever QBs at sack avoidance in pocket. He’s going to be best QB in the NFC by next year and top 2-3 in the entire league by 2026.

All QB rankings will sort themselves out over the next 6 weeks. If Lamar breaks through this postseason ppl will have no choice but to give up the Burrow or Allen over Lamar takes to maintain credibility. Takes that will also be historically embarrassing if he breaks through because it sets up Lamar to go on absolute tear of winning multiple MVPs which combined with a couple of rings could make him first ever QB with 3 MVPs and 2 Super Bowl MVPs before 30 and the first QB period to win 4 MVPs and 2 Super Bowl MVPs or 4 All Pros.
