What's your favorite GHA in the game? Edit: To address a few comments saying I ranked things low for "not getting the reference" that's 100% not the case. For Okuyasu specifically, I just think they dropped the ball on accurately utilizing The Hand, I know the original game came out before the anime so they may have had a harder time getting across what was supposed to happen. For being too hard on the punch supers, it's Jojo. I know, but watching so many back-to-back it got stale by the end of it. I love me some Jojo punches, but I was purely basing my rankings off reaction. In a bubble almost every super in this game is A-tier or above when compared to almost any other game. The quality bar is EXTREMELY high for this game! As far as the additional more hidden supers, straight up had no idea they existed. If they weren't in the move-list I didn't even know they existed, so there may be some change ups when I re-do this list post-DLC! And lastly, for not knowing Baoh's origin. Yeah thats on me, could've looked it up beforehand, I didn't. Cool character tho

Fugo's. It's a reference to the novel. It actually transforms Purple Haze into Purple Haze Distortion if you pay closecattention to the model. And it permanently buffs all his moves. And even recharges all your capsules. What's not to like? It both damage, an instal, and an utility super all in once.

Not really. That's exactly how Hand and Okuyasu himself work. Hand swings its hand, erases space and whatever was in that space, and space repairs itself, pulling things that the erased space is between towards each other. Okuyasu, being the dumbass that he is, gets tired of thinking and just swings away wildly with Hand, not taking into account the repercussions of the ability and pulling something towards him that hits him in the face. It's pretty clear what's going on if you know how the Stand and its User work.

Jotaro also has a unique counter against Part 3 DIO's GHA. If you use Jotaro's the time-stop ability (you need 1 and a half bar of meter), he will get away from the steamroller before it explodes. This basically costs all your heart meter, but the damage received will be cut in half _and_ you won't get knocked on the ground.

Fun facts: 1) Speedwagon got his black-and-white hat from Will Zeppeli himself. 2) Josuke's GHA is references the Highway Star/Yuya Fungami battle. He told Josuke that beating up an injured hospitalized man was cowardly; so Josuke healed him, and _then_ beat him up. 3) Okuyasu's power is to erase things. If he erases the middle part of something, the two remaining extremities will be forcibly joined together. By extension, if he erases the space between himself and a flowerpot, he and the pot will be forced closer to each other - Okuyasu can either teleport himself forward, or drag the pot to him. 4) Kosaku's GHA has several additional effects. It nullifies all enemy transformations/powerups; heals Kosaku slightly; and adds 10 seconds to the timer. 5) Giorno's HHA has a few easter eggs. For example, if you use it against Jonathan, Gold Experience will put his thumb inside Jonathan's eye - just like how Dio did back in Part 1. 6) Fugo's GHA references a JoJo novel, "Purple Haze Feedback". Fugo, in a last-ditch effort, decides to hide a virus capsule in his own mouth and pop it right when his opponent is near him, poisoning both of them. Incidentally, this act also evolves his Stand into Purple Haze Distortion, which can use a virus capsule to destroy other viruses... including _Purple Haze's own virus._ 7) Regarding Hermes's GHA: to be fair, when she does that technique in the original manga, she beat her opponent so much that when she removed the sticker, the opponent's head just exploded. (When she puts a sticker on something, she creates a copy; when the sticker is removed, the two object re-fuse, and then the original takes damage.) 8) Pucci's HHA takes away the opponent's ability to perform their own HHA. Johnny has Multiple Supers. You missed 2 of them. At leats one of them is mid tier. If you do his super once it upgrades into the next one. And after that it upgrades again if you do it while off the horse. DIO also has a secret HH if you do the super while in time stop. Fugo has a transformation super that cost no bars if you are a low health and input QCB + 3 Attack buttons. Someone already told you about Joseph extended super. Josuke 4 also has an extension to his HH you do a fireball input. Dio Brando HH has a special zoom if you kill Jonathan with it Gyro and Johnny have slightly different GH against Valentine. Jotaro can spend bar to do a counter GH against DIO's GH by pressing down down right bumper. EDIT: Iggy's GH also changes depending on the costume you have him on.

I'm not sure if you're aware or not, but Fugo was supposed to be one of the best characters in Part 5. He was supposed to be the antagonist in Rome instead of Cioccolata, but Araki was dealing with a bout of depression at the time he was writing it; and he didn't want to make Giorno have to kill a former companion, so he substituted him with a different character that has essentially the same ability. Plus imagine how Narancia would have been during that situation. I wish it could be rewritten, because that would have made Part 5 hands down the best part.

I do find a lot wrong with your list in my opinion. 1. Ranking things as just punches when stand rushes are iconic to jojo, however the GHA use their unique ability in these rushes. So they are still unique in themselves. 2. Ranking DIO as S for its Iconic nature but ranking part 3 jotaro (an arguably more iconic stand rush) as just punchy dude category seems hypocritical. 3. Since your anime only I can’t really hate on it too much, but ranking past part 6 and not even looking into the stand abilities of those characters. 4. Not part of list ranking however the Last thing is not a big deal but you say Kira is your favorite villain meaning you did watch part 4, but not getting the Okuyasu vs josuke reference in Okuyasu’s GHA. Just a “cmon man” moment

ROADO RORA DA is a unique move, and a fricken ridiculous one just on the concept alone. Jotaro's GHA is just punchies. A LOT of characters have punchy Supers, and they all do it better by showing off their more unique Stand abilities (Restoration, Plunder, Dimension BS that also has a unique interaction with Funny). Even basic bitch Jonathan has a much better punchy Super because of how well-paced it is. Heck, even Part 4 Jotaro at least ORAs you off the ground, turns his cap, and then proceeds to ORA you again. Part 3 doesn't really do anything unique besides rip off DIO's time stop.

I'm definitely late saying this and someone else probably already explained most likely, but what happened here at 31:32 is, Funny Valentine used his stand ability to take his opponent to another universe, then makes the original opponent crash into the alternate universe opponent, causing severe injuries. This is also shown in the manga when Diego Brando AU meets Lucy Steel. Lucy kept a bag with the original Diego's head in it, making it combine with AU Diego causing him to perish. So yeah, that's basically what happened.

And the final fight is great and weather report (the stand) at the end is amazing. The Weather backstory is tragic and pucci is a real good bastard of a villain and a very involved one. A lot of the fights and stands are really cool even if some are a bit mid. But idk the cast feels kinda weak. FF was real interesting but died to early, Anasui even tho he has one of the coolest stands and character designs in the series is extremely boring (and annoying imo). Emporio is a big non-character until the final arc in which hes pretty cool. Ermes is great and Weather is real interesting (even if his sudden angsty cool boy phase after he gets his memory back feels a bit OTT and sudden). Jolyne is fun but shes no Josuke or Joseph but shes pretty cool.

I get it with the black blood effects, but the disintegration is just way easier to animate in black and white, else they would have to add a unique animation for every character being disintegrated. For context trying not to spoil things, Funny Valentine's stand's ability is that whenever he covers him self with an object like a blanket or flag and it gives him the ability to teleport to alternate dimensions but he can also bring other people with him. If the other person encounters them selves then the two will be fused together and forcefully squished together, except for funny valentine

There are 2 alternate scenarios for DIO (Part 3) when he executes his GHA specifically against Jotaro (Part 3), some of Iggy's animations change when he goes against Polnareff, and Johnny and Gyro have slight differences to their GHAs when put against Funny Valentine. Also, I'd recommend reading Baoh, it's only 10 chapters.

While i do agree with a few things here, I think that overall this tier list was done poorly. here's a few gripes i had. 1: Mentioning not likening Fugo's character and taking this into account during ranking, when the video is ranking supers and not the character. 2: Not knowing how the hand works. 3: Putting all transformations in D tier, without ranking the transformation itself. 4: Ermes Ha was a counter, but it was mistimed, you neglected to read the moves description 5: Josuke's had an addition to his HA that could be triggered, but you neglected to read the moves description. 6: Joseph had an addition to his HA that could be triggered, but you neglected to read the moves description. 7: Neglecting to read the description for Ghiaccio''s Ha, not understanding the HA, and then still saying it was bad. 8: In regards to your pinned comment, there was a manga of part 4 before the game and anime, so they knew what The Hand did. Watching this made it seem like you haven't watched the show before.
