When the episode "Tenacity" in season one came out I was only fifteen, and I remembered I was very excited of how well done the "Ice Ice Baby/Under Pressure" mash-up was made. My happiness wasn't for too long because my favorite contestant, Marissa, was eliminated. What a nostalgia. TwT

Ooof I remember how they made them do Eye of the Tiger in 1 take and it took like 13 hours to get it right.

Too much, unfortunately. The writers/creators of Glee were already losing steam, and you could tell the only thing they could think to do with her is make her another Rachel, which would have sucked. I think Wicked/Broadway is a much better use of her talent, honestly.

Lindsey and Alex. Although as much as I love Alex, Lindsey was 100% better than him back then as while Alex's range and power was still hella impressive, his tone wasn't the best back then.

I'm willing to wager they already had a character in mind and just needed someone to fill it. You have to admit, "Bland White Cis Guy that can act" is much easier to write for than "Muslim Girl" or "Girl in Wheelchair", which is what they would have been reduced to.

@@rachelranderson I do actually think that true and partly why Michael and Charlie lasted what I thought was a little too long (Michael not being bottom three during the week Shanna went is so sus in my opinion). Then at the second to last week when Michael was eliminated Blake had already won. Sam winning the first series was definitely a direct result of Cameron quitting and the character written for Cameron being Joe having very little to do with Sam other than the constant references to dreads.

What? Blake was the clear star of the bunch, he was the deserved winner lol. Ali and Aylin were great, but they were not as versatile as Acting wise, he can literally play any role, and ultimately that’s what carried him through. Not to mention he was the most consistent week after week. I’ve gone back and watched in recent years to confirm this. Aylin was off many weeks and was easily distracted. She wasn’t ready. Ali was great, but she wasn’t right for the show, hence why Blake won. His Eye of the Tiger performance alone was something to behold. He had by The hardest part in the video and didn’t mess it up once or complain.

The absolute worst is during the Raise Your Glass video where all the eliminated contestants each say a really awkward and cringe line shoved in between the finalists singing the verse. Matteus just going “Cool cool cool” randomly makes me physically uncomfortable 😂

Lindsay was WAAYYYY too good for this show. They really had to find flaws for her cause she was already perfect in every area. Also, what i find ironic is that the things the show criticized Lindsay for are just a portion of the things that Lea Michele used to do backstage.

The Edge Of Glory, Price Tag, Like A Virgin, Everybody Hurts, Mad World, Lady Is A Tramp, Under Pressure, Milkshake, and Bad Romance are really nice. They did a good joob.👍🏻 I wish they had Naya singing Milkshake. Season One was Great 10/10. Season Two the casting was just all wrong. I mean Blake was the only actual professional screen actor of the entire group. They needed more of a healthy mix between pros and amateurs.

Everybody hurts So yeah most if the songs were on glee first, mostly done to save money buying the rights. This is super obvious in the last chance performances too where 30+ of them had been sung on a glee before

Edge of Glory is from episode 0 and because of that I don’t have the footage unfortunately in a high enough quality so I just excluded it as it didn’t effect the competition, Everybody Hurts had Mario being assaulted in the final video which doesn’t sit right with me. That 100% should have been cut and just use a different take. Also It’s the only time it seems someone doesn’t actually get a solo in the group number (Abram voice is a little louder than everyone else’s in the chorus but he really should have been given a solo line and it’s not really fair to him)
