Well, at the end of this 9 year long road, it's finally time to check out all 48 tracks in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster course pass for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch game on the Nintendo Switch Family of systems! (Seriously why do they insist on naming things this way in Nintendo directs???)

As a Tour player myself, I also love the Tour tracks! Maybe I'm biased but I don't care. Even Tokyo Blur, which I consider the lowest one of the Tour tracks, I still really love!

Amazing video! I don’t think there’s many other creators that are as good as you are at going in depth on what makes something work and what doesn’t in these kinds of rankings, even as someone who hasn’t played this game, a lot of what you said about these tracks was still able to resonate with me. Also I was surprised by how many tracks from tour were able to make it high on the list. Thank you for always putting in so much heart and effort and working so hard to bring us these videos every week! I’m sure this one was a lot on you and I hope you’re able to rest up a bit before the next one.

And I thought I was the only one who immediately thought Piranha Plant Cove was a masterpiece. Very nice list in general, though the only reasoning I majorly disagree with is your take on Kalimari Desert. The train bringing the race to a stop was always the best thing about the track, something you could only understand if you played the original on the N64 where this was pretty much guaranteed to happen. It was the funniest shit that could happen in multiplayer with friends and made the track what it was. Though I can see why one would dislike this if they were a competitive player.

Yea as a more competitive mario kart player, I never liked it. It disrupts the flow of the race too much, even back on the N64 I always hated it because it just got in the way too often, though i understand why people like it

Personally, Im on the love side of sky high sundae, now YES, the track layout is pretty... Oval. And yes, the camera can be akward from time to time, but I like this track for 3 reasons, 1, the track is NOT just an normal oval, driving past ice cram shops, driving through a cone for items, high ramps to trick off, FOR GOD SAKE YOU START IN A CAFE INSIDE A GOD DAMM FREEZER!! 2: The physics, with under water physics in a NON undertrack allows you to make REALLY neat jumps, you can even skip a small part of the last section, which I (personally) think is really nice and adds variety to a oval track. And 3: the music is an underappriceated banger, giving a adventurous and mystical feeling in a lost world of surgery delight. There ya go, my (PERSONAL) reason why sky high sundae is NOT a bad track (imo)

Nice to see more creators ranking the tracks! I’d actually disagree on GBA Snow Land, as it’s a MAJOR improvement to the original, which definitely was criticised a lot, maybe not too high, but in my opinion, at the bottom of the top half, or somewhere in between at least. Wish Tokyo Blur was better though, they could have gone on part of the Japanese railway. DS Mario Circuit also could have been placed higher, and the only track to feature Fire Piranha Plants, but it’s weird that it even beat out Luigi’s Mansion, DK Pass and especially Airship Fortress, though not every fan favourite gets in, unfortunately. Shame that both Wii Mushroom Gorge and Maple Treeway were put below Coconut Mall, the same with N64 Kalimari Desert, which definitely allowed us to go in the tunnel on the second lap, cool. Wish trains were used on a few more tracks, enough to be enjoyable. For the very first city track, New York Minute managed to be somewhat decent. Wii Daisy Circuit was definitely an odd choice, but in the end, it’s ok, the weakest of Wave 6 to be honest. Tour London Loop certainly had a good standard for what it worked with, not much to say. Same with Merry Mountain, nice to feature a more obvious Christmas reference in the track. I’m surprised that Riverside Park is the second best GBA track in the ranking, but here we are, still impressive. Wii Koopa Cape, wish they could have had the Koopa Zappers, but didn’t turn out bad either. I guess Tour Paris Promenade worked out for a first Booster Course Pass track, and yes, the backwards route is always appreciated. Tour Berlin Byways though, more of an improvement, and still good. Ironically, yes, GBA Boo Lake is very impressive, even with it’s short length, and got the lake itself, since the original didn’t have it. I also enjoy DS Peach Gardens, a Great track that also utilised an additional portion in the remake! It’s also one of the two tracks in the series, outside of different courses, to occupy the same slot, after the original, for 2 entries, along with Mushroom Gorge. Hmm, didn’t crack the top half, but DS Waluigi Pinball still managed to be fun, unique sound effects included. Oh, yeah sorry, just sliding in the top half with Wii Coconut Mall, in my opinion, it should have been better. At least Wave 2 allowed the cars near the end to move, even if Tour had the original pattern. It’s just one I don’t find amazing anymore. It’s odd that 3DS Rock Rock Mountain, or Alpine Pass, managed to be decent, but Ninja Hideaway is, in my opinion, really good, and offered a lot with so little, it was actually in Tour first, but still brilliant. I did not expect Wii Moonview Highway to appear in the DLC at all, but it did, and is probably the best traffic in the game, and I’m happy with it! 😄 Weird that Tour Amsterdam Drift scored this high, but regardless, really good! Even Bangkok Rush is good, it could have had some improvements, but I‘m glad not much can be criticised. Tour Los Angeles Laps, the only section-based city, and it’s still done well, I like it too. The first GCN course with Waluigi Stadium, and I still enjoy it. The same with the only city to utilise proper anti-gravity, Tour Vancouver Velocity, routes-wise, they should have done 3, 1, and 2R respectively, but it’s good that it turned out great in the end. Probably one no one, or almost no one, could have gotten! I’d put it in the top 5 personally, I am shocked that it turned out brilliant! Tour Sydney Sprint, admittedly, it could have been better, but it still holds up for the second wave, though it was beaten by GCN Daisy Cruiser, which I am still impressed by it, still brilliant! Then we get to Yoshi’s Island, I’m surprised that it’s well liked, but I enjoy it as well, so that’s a winner! Just missing the top 10, GCN DK Mountain is still amazing to me, and I‘m happy with it, while Wii DK Summit, or DK‘s Snowboard Cross, is surprisingly good, and both tracks don’t disappoint! For Tour Athens Dash, I really enjoy this! It’s odd that Wii Rainbow Road is only at number 8, as it’s an easy winner for me, but regardless, still fun. For Tour Rome Avanti, I’m also pleased for this one, along with Singapore Speedway, as both tracks just feel absolutely brilliant, and Madrid Drive cracking the top 5 shocked me, but I really enjoy it! Man, SNES Bowser Castle 3 is absolutely gorgeous, and just blasted everything out of the water, even to me being the second best track in the game! This is outstanding! Squeaky Clean Sprint, this is still a very well liked course, and I agree, racing in a bathroom, is fantastic! 3DS Rainbow Road, still brilliant, and one of the best to exist! I was also surprised that Piranha Plant Cove was put at the top, but definitely a great course to race on, and for Wave 6, it ended on a perfect note! Anyways, thanks one more time, and hope to see more content on the channel! 👍

Piranha Plant Cove at #1 is based! I love that you went from being doubtful of the Tour tracks to loving most of them. I think most people did to be honest. Tour may be a mobile game, but it's genuinely got some of the most fun and unique nitro tracks in the series. Great video!

I honestly think them just being shoved and mashed together into one track saved them for me, if they were all just one version of each I probably wouldn't have liked them nearly as much, and tour had some interesting ideas! Characters, karts and tracks that were all genuinely interesting, and if it was a real console game without the gacha elements and played like a real mario kart game I think it'd probably be my favorite entry. Hopefully the next real MK game uses a lot of the characters/karts and tracks from tour.

I was just thinking that! I think the next Mario Kart will bring over a lot of the cool content from Tour! Characters, costumes, karts, gliders, skins for karts and gliders, coin shop, challenges, elimination-style battle mode, items, etc., on top of new stuff of course. I also could see a few new nitro tracks that also change routes each lap, like the Tour tracks. Like how 7 introduced section tracks, we can have route-changing tracks. That's one way they can make the next game even bigger than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, especially if they somehow have 96 tracks again. Oh, and if Piranha Plant Pipeline is coming next game you'll finally get to experience that track! It's the only track from Tour that didn't get added to the BCP for some reason. Probably some sort of gameplay issue. But I imagine they just ported it to the next game so they have extra time to work on it. @@AstralKat

A bit funny how the tracks you compare to each other, I feel the opposite way about. To me, Sweet Sweet Canyon was dull and missed potential and goated Sky High Sundae showed how a dessert course should be done. And I used to dislike Cloudtop Cruise because I thought of it as just "we have Sky Garden at home" BUT I am starting to come around a bit, mostly because I think the lightning section is cool. Shocked to hear Ninja Hideaway and Athens Dash get a lot of hate because I haven't seen anything but love for them (correctly, because Ninja Hideaway is INCREDIBLE) and people putting Athens in the upper-half of their city course rankings. You probably got a flood of people saying similar things, but even tho i'm not a fan of it, the train blocking in Kalimari Desert is unique and to me, it pretty much wouldn't be Kalimari anymore if it DIDN'T force you to wait for it when you're not quick enough. Like removing the sunset in Sunset Wilds. You might as well just include a different track then. But any ranking that had me going WTF is unimportant, your list is based for understanding that Squeaky Clean Sprint is top 3 material.

I dont agree with gacha games, I think they're awful, lazy excuses for uninspired devs to syphon money from their player bases, but I genuinely think the tracks are decent, once they were ported over to the switch, hell my top 10 is almost 80% tour tracks
