A lot of Italians immigrated to the United States during the early 20th century, especially after WW1 ended (I think, my memory of history is a little fuzzy; correct me if I'm wrong), so she could have been born and raised in the US, just by an Italian parentage.

Complains that I there is too much flying in “Friends in high places” The literal flying campaign. I loved that story 09/06/22 Edit: The remember the ending to Friends in High places. All the war stories elicit such different emotions and reactions from the player at the end.

you have no respect. Those emus while I understand their intentions of defending their land, they were awful. My grandfather led many battles against these monsters. their weapons were more advanced than ours. they were impossible to hit in the trenches where only their tiny heads and skinny necks were visible. My Grandpa told me that when the fighting got to extreme, our sides came to a truce. True emus left to colonise Mars. They left clones of the stupidest emus on earth to cover up the atrocities they did. Us humans did atrocities to and the entire country of Australia would have to deal with PETA if anyone found out. We covered it up on our side by saying it was a few mercenaries hired by farmers. We used to be one of the greatest military mights on earth, but look what the birds did to us. I suggest you don't make fun of emus because they would happily come back and show you what they can do. long story short, show some respect.

Avanti Savoia was my favorite because of the message it carries, the atmosphere, the theatre it takes place in (the Italian front is rarely covered when it comes to both World Wars), and the Ending line it gives you, that fucking gave me chills as I've lost a sibling personally, so it really hit home.

Oh, Come on... Nothing is written was beautiful, Avanti Sovia was quite sad, friends in high places was a bad-good story, meaning the character changed for the good over time. The Runner made me smile from joy at its end. I don't even need to explain the rest Battlefield 1 campaign was obviously made to represent ww1 in a different way then how others see it. I don't know what everyone hates it.

My ranking: 6) Nothing is Written (Cool but too much stealth) 5) The Runner (Liked the story, while gameplay is just classic shooting) 4) Avanti Savoia (MY GODDAMN COUNTRY FINALLY GETS A CAMPAIGN!!!! Too short though) 3) Storm of Steel (Best level in the game, but one level doesn't make a story.) 2) Friends in High Places (Cause I love flying!!!!!) 1) Through Mud and Blood (Tank, great narrative, fun optional stealth, tanks. The final section where you fight two waves of German tanks and BF's iconic theme plays in the background is just awesome.)

TBAG, you said that Clyde Blackburn was not a good person and very rude, however this was most likely the intended persona of the character, and is what makes you wonder whether he was a hero or a villain. You can argue both ways which makes him such a dynamic and interesting character. I respect your decisions but try to think a little deeper about the characters. Disliking a war story because the protagonist isn't a glorified hero all the time does not seem very valid. Everyone has opinions and this is mine. Anyways I really enjoyed your video and it was interesting to what someone else thought about the war stories. 👍

the thing is, it's is very likely that Clyde Blackburn was a straight up vilian, the final cutscene of the war story establishes him as an unreliable narrator, and that a rumors are going around that he murdered his way through the western front, stole a plane, and murdered it's original pilot - Wilson, and only escaped retribution because of a german bombing run on London. and considering how he is portrayed in the story. it's probably all true and that his entire story is a lie. which perfectly showcase how war is needlessly glorified and that the soldiers cane sometimes be terrible people. not to mention how it satirizes the whole 'war hero' genre of stories and games we have. this makes it the best war story besides Through Mud and Blood, and Storm of Steel

If they expanded the prologue into a full blown story with more trench warfare then that would have been the best war story ever. The prologue was what I was hoping the BF1 campaign would be. Also the second level of the arditi mission is actually very cool, gives the closest feel to the prologue

My ranking of all operations in Bf1 (Including DLC) Normal operations: 9. Brusilov offensive Too hard to progress at ,especially Galicia. Sniper Paradise. 8. Iron walls Beautiful maps, but very unbalanced for the Italians. Really hard to progress. But not as annoying as Brusilov offensive. 7. Red tide Probably one of the funniest operations to play on , but at the same time very frustrating, especially for the Red army. Pretty hard to advance on, but it's possible. 6. Kaiserschlacht Very easy operation, which is good sometimes, but I slightly prefer most other operations majority of the time 5. Beyond the Marne A bit campy, but still a good operation. Excellent vehicle action and pretty good long range gameplay. 4. Conquer Hell Very hard to progress on, but its very fun to play on those hectic objectives and blasting away with a shotgun or spraying with a Smg or Lmg is quite satisfying. Nice maps. 3. Oil of empires Hard operation, but has good long range gameplay, good vehicle and infantry gameplay. Good in all areas, but it's slightly longer than most operations, which can be pretty boring if you are playing on a bad team trying to advance 2. Gallipoli I don't really know why I like this operation so much. Its one of the harder ones, but its still fun! Good maps. 1. Devil's anvil Nuff said Shock operations: 1. River Somme Fun in the trenches. The most authentic SO. 2. Lupkőw pass Pretty fun to play on, works with all playstyles. 3. Zeebrugge A bit linear, but I like Zeebrugge as map, and it has perfect naval combat 4. Prise de tahure Hard to advance on, but brings the adrenaline levels through the roof. 5. Giants shadow Dont like Giants shadow as a map so I dislike this SO.

Honestly if i were to rank the war stories in BF1 it would probably look like this (5 is the worst, 1 is the best) 5 - Friends in High Places: ok i’ll admit, i loved this mission, the only problem was that it was D I F F I C U L T, make fun of me if you will but that mission was pretty damn hard for me, even on regular, though that could partially be credited to me just playing super recklessly, and actually being a War Thunder pilot, and as such, am more used to the more punishing mechanics of War Thunder piloting, as opposed to the forgiving mechanics of BF1, and honestly, it got a little repetitive, the first real mission has you escorting a bomber squad, and i believe you will need to escort at least two squads to complete the mission, since one squad of five will probably only take out half to 3/4 of the fort’s health, and you will almost definitely lose at least one bomber since all 5 will be attacked at once and your AI teammates seem to be capable of doing jack-shit, plus you’ll have to peel off every once in a while to shoot down the bandits that will likely be on your six. The stealth segment that followed was ok if you ask me, and the part where you had to carry your friend across no mans land while avoiding friendly fire was a great touch. The last mission is pretty much the same thing, except you’re on the attack this time, and as usual, you’re basically left to kill all the bombers yourself, with your teammates doing absolutely nothing to help you besides take out the occasional enemy fighter, and dont get me started with taking down the airships, once again you’re literally taking down two of the damn things on your own, and it gets boring pretty quick considering the absolutely massive amount of health they have. It gets a bit interesting when you end up crashing your plane into one of the airships then eventually, commandeering the AA gun up top to take down other airships, but that segment was a bit too short for my liking. 4 - Avanti Savoia: too short, and pretty dull compared to the other 4, but it was definitely one of the most fun, playing as a sentry for the first half and a lighter soldier with a Villar Perosa in the second half was extremely fun, not to mention that one segment where you took control of an AA gun, it was fun too, just kinda sucked when you started getting targeted cuz you have no way of avoiding the damage other than shooting down the planes. And on top of all that, it was definitely the one mission that hit you in the feels the hardest, with The Runner being (imo) a close second Note: from 3 to 1, the entries are going to be very close, so close i can practically interchange them and the ranking would barely change in the grand scheme of things 3 - Nothing is Written: i LOVED this mission, everything from the stealth, to the full on assault of the train, and i loved the fact that this was the first of only two missions wherein you could use the Tankgewehr, (and it was more available in this one than the other one) something about watching an armored car or small tank go up in flames after getting hit by one bullet was extremely satisfying. The stealth in this game was also some of the best, and it’s the one mission i’d replay a lot, the only thing that kinda works against this mission though, is the absolutely MASSIVE map in the second stealth segment (with the pigeons) which was practically impossible to get around without either the horse, or the mini tanks in the ruins to the left, other than that though, i loved this mission, 10/10 would replay 2 - The Runner: gunfights in this mission were amazing, everything from storming the trenches, to taking on the fort solo, loved every minute going through it, and the student-teacher/father-son like relationship between frederick and foster was a nice touch, and the running segments where you had to deliver messages back and forth was really good as well, even the part where you storm the fort solo was fun. Only thing that kinda sucked was the stealth segment, too short, and easy to bypass with a bit off out of bounds trickery. And of course, that ending, it was definitely sad to see Bishop end up dying at the end, especially since he’s the only one of the five who ends up dying, and his last words upon seeing Foster’s flare hit me with one hell of a feels train, albeit, not as hard as the one from Avanti Savoia 1 - Through Mud and Blood: this mission is AMAZING, it’s everything good from the previous 4, mixed into one, the great vehicle play from Friends in High Places, the amazing stealth from Nothing is Written, the great gunfights (sort of) from The Runner, and the fun factor and similar feels train of Avanti Savoia. It was SUPER fun mowing down enemies and blowing up field guns and vehicles in the Mark V, and for one, enjoyed the stealth segments in between, from the foggy forest segment to the part where you need to scout a town for new sparkplugs, (i especially loved scouting the town cuz of all the sniping i was able to do, though the part with the flamethrower and field gun kind of sucked) i also liked that the whole mission doesnt take place in the tank (which was my initial worry) and that you could just kinda hop out whenever you wanted to repair the tank, because of this, i found myself staying outside the tank and mowing down enemies with an LMG a LOT more often than one is even supposed to (sometimes i just stepped out for no reason other than to mow down enemies myself without using the tank) and last but not least, we cant forget the feels train, idk about you guys but watching your crew get picked off one by one was pretty damn sad, and the time you had to release the pigeon and call in an artillery strike on your position was pretty damn nerve wracking (and im probably the only one, but i liked the segment where you flew the pigeon back to base, it was a nice change of pace) especially since you could actually see enemy troops come in and attack the tank while it was in the mud IN REAL TIME, literally happening right in front of you, before cutting to a cutscene of the chaos that’s happening in the tank, and the sudden deafness experienced by your character combined with the panicked shouting of contradicting instructions really added to the fear factor that you might not make it out alive. And the ending was really sad as well, seeing the tank get overrun AGAIN and this time, you get thrown out of the tank and partially knocked out, while one of your remaining crewmates get shot in front of you, while the captain blows the tank and himself up to kill all the surrounding enemy soldiers. And of course, you can’t forget the fact that you were able to use the Tankgewehr in this mission, just that fact makes it amazing lol. The only part i didnt really like about this mission was the final part, after you get the spare sparkplugs, survivng the full on attack was a bit difficult, especially when you got to the trainyard, the enemy tank there, combined with the mini tanks and field guns tends to complicate things at higher difficulties, and when the other mini tanks arrived from down the road along with the two other box tanks, things got a little difficult, especially since those box tanks have TONS of health and are annoying to take out, and you need to fight two of them, but hey, at least i could use the Tankgewehr on them for early damage. Speaking of the box tanks, i also didnt really like taking one on in the first part of the war story, since there was barely any room to maneuver around it and get to its vulnerable points. 0 - Storm of Steel: this mission is in a league of its own, i loved the all out and non stop action in this mission, it made it really fun to play through, and it’s easily better than all 5 of the other war stories, It also had the one thing i always thought was missing from these WW1, WW2 and other similar all out war scenario games, and it was the fact that you would switch perspectives to another soldier after you died, it really hammered home the fact that literally anyone, didnt matter who the hell it was, ANYONE could end up dead during the fighting, and the fight would still go on, it didnt matter if you died or survived. It perfectly captured the sense of how in war, every life matters, but at the same time, no single life matters, how not everyone will go down in the history books, not everyone will be a decorated war hero, and almost all of these guys were really just nameless and faceless soldiers in the grand scheme of things, like cogs in a machine, expendable, and replaceable. It really felt like a team effort, and not just a single person mowing down a whole army’s worth of soldiers unlike literally every other FPS out there, *Cough cough* Call of Duty (don't get me wrong I love the CoD games I just think the fact that you can mow down hundreds of enemy soldiers on your own kinda breaks the immersion) And that ending, with two soldiers, the last men standing for their respective sides, point their rifles at each other, only to put them down and look up at the sky and at the battlefield covered in the bodies of their brothers in arms, and each have a moment of self reflection, while the narrator utters the line “but behind every gunsight, is a human being” really hammered home the fact that despite all this killing, all these guys are still human, with thoughts, lives, hopes, and dreams, and that, if you can hit a pause button on the war, that humanity will show itself, and the killing will stop, and brings to mind the saying by G.K Chesterton, which states “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him” (which brings to mind the Christmas Truce of 1914) WOW this ended up way longer than i expected, if you got here, you have my gratitude for actually putting yourself through reading this lmfao, thanks a lot m8

Honestly, it would be epic if there was at least ONE war story where you play as the central powers that is slightly connected to storm of Steel. We play as a guy known as 'otto', who has a bit of a troubled and violent childhood. Being from the wealthier end of German society, he has taken a couple of trips to both Paris and London before the war. When the mighty nations started mobilisation, otto volunteered for the army, so he was sent to the Eastern front. In the last year of the great war, he once again volunteers for the Kaisers Schlacht. He would go on to become a German stormtrooper, proving his worth to the German High command. Look, if we can play as an arditi, why can't we play a German stormtrooper? Who doesn't wanna race across no man's land with your mates, jump into trenches, and blast tommies with an mp18?

I think one of the problems with the runner is there are two different narratives. There are the others, who are treated like the real Gallipoli (shelled by the Brits, forgotten) and then there’s you, taking a town by yourself along with capturing a beachhead.

The Friends in High Places one is sorta brilliant to me because the very last line is the twist, the first line out of the crash scene may also foreshadows this. Some of the story didn't happen to begin with and he was lying to the viewer for a decent portion of it. In friends in high places, you survive the drop from the airship and come out the hero because if you actually play the mission the main character states at the end, that "Things get mixed up in wartime" and that "you'll probably hear other versions", then says "but what you heard from me is the trust" implying he is telling someone the story of what happened and were just playing it as he says it, followed by "I wouldn't tell you if it wasn't, would I?" as the character smiles.
