With just a little work, it could be a perfectly fun "Inquisition" army. Inquisitors getting to Frankenstein together a unique motley crew is part of the appeal. As for why they only gave them one decent detachment, no army rule, sent the most famous inquisitor to legends without replacement, and gutted most of the deathwatch datasheets in the process... Yeah idk.

Imperial agents should have just been the extra special characters you can slap in pretty much any army with the Imperium keyword like they used to. Just give them special rules so that they could synergize with whatever army they're attached to and it'd have been enough.

How to know that 40k players just love to whine: when they say stupid things like this. Don't get me wrong, 40k is ludirciously expensive. But Its not the early 2000's anymore. Inflation (especially in the UK) alone would make every single model sold at a massive loss. If you actually compare the prices of different sets over the years, most have actually grown below inflation.

​@@DrakonPhDDeathwing and Custodes prove otherwise. 4 of the top 5 kits, $150-$250 for about 20 models but each comprise about 1/2 of a tournament legal army. Material costs are about $6 of plastic and paper plus shipping and preproduction costs. The actual stores which buy them pay about 2/3 MSRP and that includes a very healthy profit margin for GW itself.

GW isn't even that expensive if you actually model and paint. The amount of time you spend on models is better return for value than most computer games

I managed to get both the Deathwing Assault and the Dark Angel's Battleforce. With just two purchases I am already so close to getting a good 2,000 list. I'm thinking of getting a squad of Hellblasters and a Repulsor next. Very excited.

The HH Battlegroup for the Mechanicum was also this year, with 20 Thralls, 6 Thallax Cyborgs, 2 Castelax Battleautomata and a large Transport. Compared to that, most 40k Discount Battleforces feel a bit light

For Adepta Sororitas christmas battleforce: 1) points are low for the price 2) I do not play Battle Sisters to buy boxes that have no battle sisters 3) consists of pretty much only models that are not being played since beginning of 10th with no change in sight - feels more like GW cleaning warehouses of unpopular models

I refuse to believe that Asupex is not 17 very hard working hamsters with this output. I would not mind a Pentient Crusader Host christmas box + combat patrol, but getting into Sister while Iam still trying to complete my other three 1000pts armies is just not viable. My three other armies, Death Guard, Drukhari and Votann are already expensive factions, so adding Sisters to that is just oof. Probably going to sell of my Votann or Death Guard since they are kinda similiar in playstyle, so keep one slower army and have Drukhari that plays alot different from that.

I liked the Ork box personally as I'm a fan of dread mob, the only detachment that makes the Stompa worthwhile, and Lootas are great in it. Boyz are useful anywhere and the Mek is actually very good with them in this detachment, you need a full stack though. Wouldn't double up on those monopose ones though.

My FLGS was shorted over a dozen of the Xmas boxes they ordered, but sent an extra 10 knights boxes. The ordering guy said that was a blessing. The knight *will* sell, but sisters would not.

I got the Deathwing Assault box, Kroot Hunting Pack, and Tau Retaliation Cadre battleforce this year! If i didn’t already have basically everything in the dark angels battleforce i probably would’ve bought that one instead lol.

I was extremely fortunate as I gave a try to a new store in Black Friday. Their opening was just a week ago, so most people didn't know of its existence. So I showed up at 10:30, hoping for boardgames, and every single christmas box was there and available, 40k and sigmar. 15% off and everything. So I sure didn't think I was buying Inner Circle Task Force, but the Emperor blessed me.

Well, I'm glad I managed to get Inner Circle (and extra DW Knights) with Black Week discount (I got both with almost 30% off!), as well as Cities of Sigmar army (Founding Foray, Spearhead and 10 Fusilliers) and a lot of painting supplies (3x200ml bottles of different Vallejo airbrush primers, Liquitex inks, few speedpaints, Milliput). This only proves that if you look, you can find even the most wanted box in decent price.

impressed, got talked into retrying 40k (played from 1st ed till the mid 90s) , Bought the new realesing faction (so i didnt double up with someone else) and bought imperial agents..... then picked another set since agents seem unplayable to allow me use some of the miniatures, got an old sisters battleforce, found it couldnt form a force and grabbed the new 1. So i now own the 4 bottom force boxes on this list........

I remember the boarding patrol boxes, they were great, they were a god half way house between start collecting and combat patrol. Probably not going to get them again, most combat patrols have the same amount of value as the BP but more expensive

I managed to get a really good deal on some overstock on Kroot from a FLGS, and the Kroot Hunting Pack discount certainly helped. Kroot have always been a bit of a 'bucket list' army for me, so I was very glad to see new minis at a discount, and you can still get the Hunting Pack boxes all over the place. Death Wing Assault was just too good to pass up as well, and the Sisters launch box ended my black of Seraphim.

I was pleased with the Blood Angels battleforce. It wasn't perfect but it was very good. I feel like I am building a great army on top of it. They need to keep doing this, since this can sometimes be a painful thing to collect. Doing it in good chunks like this is easier.

I bought two of the Hivestorm because I wanted all of everything in it 😊 Also two of the GC two Goliath sets again cos I wanted all of everything in there. My biggest/maddest/favourite of the whole year was actually the HH Solar Auxilia set (which included an extra command figure 😊) I bought too many of them really but I wanted the Leman Russ for a Krieg army idea. That being said the auxilia infantry models, I love 'em. Just the look of them in that outrageous garb and the Lasrifles. The abundant command weapons on the sprues are calling to my spares/conversions box for use elsewhere too 😊😊😊❤❤❤

My flgs was having big sales for models this month and it had me eyeing all the big battleforce boxes for a potential new army and I saw that the imperial agents had more unsold boxes than all the other factions combined. Not very surprising, I feel like they would have done better just boxing them together as a kill team collector set with terrain.

Bought one of each of the newer chaos boxes(Long war, dread talons). Was very happy with my purchase. Got me back into chaos for the first time since third. Also picked up the previous editions combat patrol that had the helbrute along with it, as well as abaddon, Vashtorr, and 2 of the Warpforged sets. Throw in converting a few of my marine rhinos that never get used anymore and it gave me a great start back into the army.
