I certainly think Chloe’s Trouble in Paradise was one of the best albums of 2024. I think she did such an incredible job on every inch of the album. The vocals, the musical engineering, etc. just flawless. I’d make that one iconic for sure. Too bad it doesn’t get any recognition though.

No, the album is not a charli rip off, if you’ve heard it yk. It’s a fun and well made album, not jaw dropping but it’s not trying to be. It’s a fun Miami centric going out with your girls and having a great time type of vibe. Spring breakers feels through and through.

HMHAS is an iconic album for Billie, full tea. Did it take me a few listens to really analyse and dissect its contents before I could appreciate it more? Yes, it definitely did. Now though, my god, what a record. From Finneas’s captivating production to Billie’s gorgeous, and notably stronger vocal performance. It is easily her best body of work to date.

“eternal sunshine” deserved to be deemed iconic. it ended the year as the only 2024 album to produce multiple #1 songs on the Hot 100 with “yes, and?” & “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)”. that alone makes it an iconic album of the year. everyone talks about how she barely promoted, but she did multiple performances on SNL, Jimmy Fallon, that college class thing; gave us remixes with Mariah Carey, Brandy, Monica, etc.; & some of the best music videos we saw in 2024.

What I love about Cowboy Carter is the discussion Beyonce brings to the table with regard to genre-bending and what a genre is. The album pushes the notion that any artist has the capability to integrate themselves into a genre that they aren't known for and still succeed AND present their take/perspective from within a respective genre. As the same with Rennaissance, CC lives in a area that doesn't succumb to the structure of genres and what is known be expected. I CANNOT WAIT until Act 3!!!
