Gentlemen, always enjoy your dynamic and respect your opinions! I was born in 79 and have a few years on you guys. I'm always fascinated by how what pops our horror 🍒 shapes our individual preferences on horror as a whole. As we get older, we can look back and evaluate things with a more critical and sharp mind. Yet, sometimes we can't shake the sentimental bonds. I totally dig how you guys have a respect for NOES 2. Grew up loving this movie... so I'm excited to see people coming around to it. Much like H3. I got picked on a fucked with for my movie choices. Always feeling like I " needed " to explain myself. You don't have to explain shit. I do lists with my oldest all the time. They aren't easy but they are fun. It's good for mental health to put shit out in the universe for a discussion. Sorry, I'm usually a silent viewer. Time to slink back into the shadows...🤟

Little fact from Scream 4: The reason why Scream 4 looks like it has that Vaseline filter in it, it's because Wes Craven wanted it to look like how remakes looked like in the 2000s (example F13th). - Also, would be cool if you guys did a ranking of all the John Wick movies, Rambo movies, Arnold action movies, and the lethal weapons movies in the same style you did to this.

1 year late, but i absolutely love your lists, it was honest and unexpected at times and that's what it's all about man, I had pretty much the same experience as Jay when it comes to first horror movies, my #1 is also Nightmare 1 it was the first i ever saw too i was 6 years old and i snuck downstairs at around 2am, put in the VHS and that was my introduction to horror movies, the movie scared the shit out of me and i loved the name of it there was something about the name that was so cool to me and i just had to watch it, that night i went to sleep and Freddy come after me in my dreams i woke up screaming, my mum ran into my room and then i puked absolutely all over my bed lol my mum says its the grossest thing she ever had to clean up lmao to this day, and what's even more crazy is instead of it traumatizing me to never watch horror movies again it done the exact opposite and at 6 years old my obsession for horror movies started and i watched everything i possibly could horror related...my mum always said she thinks i was going to grow up to be a serial killer because of how much i loved the movies and the gore...There is nothing scarier in horror than Freddy after you in your dreams there is no safety net or safe room everyone has to sleep at some point no matter where you are in the world....his design is the most unique of them all and the kills were very creative and awesome, the practical effects were amazing too, i can go on and on about this movie and how amazing it is but i'll stop there! my #2 is Scream and my #3 is Halloween 4.

Totally agree with Mike with Scream and the theater. Saw it 7 times in theater, my first horror movie. Which is why it will be always my favorite franchise. And brought so many good ones out in the late 90's and early 00's. EVERYONE was talking about SCREAM. ANOS would be my second. RIP Wes. You guys should totally do 90's and early 00's!!

Halloween 3 is pretty dang good. Besides the middle section that lags a little where they are snooping around the factory, I really enjoy it. Very memorable, strange characters. Creepy tone. The town is established very well. The kills rule. Has iconic masks and song. Feels very fallish. And the ending with him screaming is jarring, which I like.

J, I could agree that RZ's Halloween 2007 isn't THAT horrible even though it's not my favorite. AT all. However, your explanation of how you didn't like his backstory ALONE should make you not ranking it that high. The "backstory" (pre-escape) takes up nearly an hour of the story.

What if Scream 6/7 reveals Ghostface himself to actually all along have been an obsessed Maureen prescott stalker from highschool that wants to ruin Sidney’s life because he psychotically wanted maureen’s love way early on. He’s been the one behind the knife every movie and the revealed killers are just his braggadocious minions. I feel like Ghostface not actually having an identity is what holds it back from actually crossing from suspense thriller into actual horror. Give him a face and reasoning.
