@ well “different” doesn’t mean bad. Idk how it gets such a low rating just for being slightly different, for the last 2d KOF game it’s pretty good.

@@chedysouilhi7408 I haven't played KOF XI but the music is good and the roster is amazing so I can't say much about that. KOF XIII, on the other hand, has a solid roster and a fire soundtrack, the mechanics are a little different from the past games but I understand and respect your opinion.

It's great but it lacks the roster and limited moves from each character. That's the issue with it. OST, Art Style is a 10/10 though.

You're underrating KOF XI. XV, 2002 UM, '98 UM, XI, are the GOAT KOF's to me. XIII barely misses it.

the fact is you will be rating the version that you had the most fun with, higher than most. 98 has a special place for me since that's what we played in the arcade and the queues for the challenges were on for the whole afternoon.

96 - Awesome. Music was top tier here. 97 - Love this game. Yashiro is one of my favorite characters. 98 - This hit it just right. XI - I don't like the tag mechanic, but this game slapped. This one had a great roster. XIII - Extremely fun to play. Haven't got XV yet but I want it.

KOF XIII for me, but gotta say 2002 vanilla is actually really slept on. Game is crazy and amazing.

I think Maximum Impact 1 is rated fair enough by you despite the fact that I love it and personally disagree. The Duke boss fight gives me goosebumps everytime. The hitboxes were actually pretty damn good in this game. It has a slight barebones nature though, because of the fact that the data got corrupted and they had to start over with making it again. You have to extend combos through strikers in KOF'01. That's the main appeal of it, it did what Guilty Gear Isuka tried by making a 2D fighting game with party mechanics; but way better and actually fun. There are striker buttons to call all three and each one of them subsequently. Persona Cafe did an excellent cmv for the game in case you're interested.
