My personal favorite songs of his show off his belts. He often sang soft and breathy but he could belt as shown in “I Believe in a thing Called Love”, but he was rarely given the opportunity.

I mean, he didn’t have the lower register when the show started, so I think the arrangers gave him high parts (even later in the show) out of habit. But I agree, his lower register is excellent.

Its # 29 As if We Never Said Goodbye that showcases the incredible emotional depth and vocal virtuosity of that unique talent. It shows the complete package in one solo 4 minute performance. Personally, I think that is his best work. But there sure is some great competition with I have nothing ranked #11, #4 Le Jazz Hot, Defying gravity etc. What this man can do with the simplest lyric and simplest melody , the 'less-is-more genre, is perfectly shown in Pure Imagination at #19.

"Being Alive"" is actually my number one. I love hearing his lower register on that song and the emotion he puts into it is chill-inducing. Rose's Turn would be number 2 and I Wanna Hold Your Hand would be number 3. It's hard to choose though. Chris is SOOOOO freaking talented. Truly one of the most amazing voices ever! So unique and beautiful. I respect putting Rose's Turn at number one though cuz Chris absolutely NAILED that song and put everything into that performance.
